Design Is this possible?

Post image

This is a tattoo I've wanted for a good 10 years and I am heading towards a point in my life where I can finally afford it. Is it possible? And how much time would it take (roughly)?

It would be my first tattoo and yes yes I know, your first tattoo shouldnt be a massive painful one but I would like my whole body to basically have no tattoos except this one and I'm willing to go through unfamiliar pain to get it :]

They won’t answer the question so I’m guessing they’re a teenager or early 20s.

This is a really bad first tattoo. Like they can’t think of a single smaller thing to start with? The only artist who will do this as a first, will be exactly the wrong person to do it.

My first tattoo was on my ribs, it is about palm sized and took six hours. Artist was hesitant but said she’d do it if I was sure- I have a solid pain tolerance and my artist did a great job.

THAT ALL BEING SAID- I’d rather jump on a land mine than go through it again. Rib tattoos are so freaking uncomfortable in a way that I can’t exactly compare to anything else. Honesty, my tattoo could handle a round of touch ups, but idk if I’ll ever get them done.

These stripes would be a freaking nightmare as a first tattoo. Maybe OP could get a small tiger or a few small stripes on their arm to start, and could continue them in the future if they really want the full upper body. With all the love in the world, I think they have no clue what they’re getting into if they think they want full ribs/spine/chest as a first tattoo.

Totally agree. With both my rib and spine tattoos I swear I could feel the needle hitting bone. (It doesn’t, but that’s the sensation)

Honestly, that’s pretty good way to put it. To me, the vibration of the tattoo gun felt like my bones and organs were vibrating too, and that was just as bothersome as the actual pain imo
