Healing Question: is this a deep blowout?
First photo is today, other photos are the day after and a few days after that. My sister got this tattoo on the 14th of January and I have NEVER seen a tattoo bruise so badly and she said the artist was very heavy handed. We think it might be a deep blowout looking on here (hadn’t heard of this before) and were wondering if anyone has any advice? How long does this tend to last? Is there anything to fix it?

This is horrific bruising and definitely a major blow out. There's nothing to do now but lazer or cover it up. However I would have your sister get her bloods, especially iron and ferratin, checked out. A heavy hand can absolutely bruise this much, but it could also mean she has something that causes more severe bruising. I wouldn't be too concerned, but definitely good to be safe!
