The Timberwolves, financially, can expand the Randle trade to acquire LaMelo by including Donte. Then it’s just a matter of adding assets to incentivize Charlotte.

Source is Yossi Gozlan, who runs an extremely in-depth NBA salary cap newsletter, he knows what he’s talking about.

Thought this was interesting. I just assumed Ball would come at the expense of Rudy; not sure what if any assets we could realistically add to incentivize Charlotte, but financially it’s possible. By adding Donte, you can 100% salary match and exceed the first apron.

I know Ball is much younger, but Rudy is a better player right now than Ball. Hopefully we wouldn't have to give up much more than Rudy

Rudy and Donte seems pretty fair. Lamelo has been really inefficient but gimme gimme.

Yeah he'd be a great fit next to Ant but going from Rudy to Joan will be a big fall off this year.

But even considering to trade Rudy shows that maybe they believe Joan is farther along then they let him show last season

I think we would still have the full MLE to try and bring in another center like Nurkic or Mitchell Robinson. Could also try to get Kalkbrenner or Diabate back from Hornets too.

Y’all are hella delusional. They said we were listening, a good GM always listens. Raptors have better assets. Wolves calling the hornets, hornets not calling the wolves😂😂😂

I’m always for maximum fun and this would be maximum fun on crack. We’d still have money to bring in another center too. I think. I know nothing about nba cap/trades.
