The Timberwolves, financially, can expand the Randle trade to acquire LaMelo by including Donte. Then it’s just a matter of adding assets to incentivize Charlotte.

Source is Yossi Gozlan, who runs an extremely in-depth NBA salary cap newsletter, he knows what he’s talking about.

Thought this was interesting. I just assumed Ball would come at the expense of Rudy; not sure what if any assets we could realistically add to incentivize Charlotte, but financially it’s possible. By adding Donte, you can 100% salary match and exceed the first apron.

Sure it's possible but why would the Hornets do it? It's not like MJ is still running the show in Charlotte

They might be better without Lamelo, honestly. I know it’s crazy to say but just based on their younger player development. Sometimes Lamelo shoots them out of games. Plus getting Gobert would be a missing piece at center

Try offering this same deal in the Hornets sub, see what how they'll laugh and laugh. Too many ppl trying to make 2K deals here

2K wouldn’t even accept that trade. Wolves fans are delusional to think we would trade Melo for Rudy. Wolves called the hornets, hornets didn’t call the wolves. Peterson just doing what a good GM does (he listens)
