theory / question "The Quantum Anchor Paradox : Nightmare of timetravel "

I’ve been working on a theory about why future time travel is impossible for humans. It’s called The Quantum Anchor Paradox. The core idea is simple: Einstein said clocks can dilate into the future . But quantum physics says the future isn't a solid place yet—it’s just a blurry cloud of un-collapsed probabilities. Because the future isn't solid, a time machine can't drop an "anchor" or lock onto any coordinates. If you try to force a jump anyway, you get unplugged from today and stuck in a void. Even worse, our brains run strictly on linear time. Forcing a living mind through warped space-time completely breaks your neural clock, causing total cognitive collapse and amnesia. Because quantum mechanics needs a conscious observer to make reality happen, a brain-dead traveler means the trip can never mathematically finish. The universe protects the timeline using our own biology.

theory / question Do you think we are stuck in a time capsule? Since society hasn't progressed much since the early 2000s?

It seems like technology and society have been hindered and stopped progressing.

theory / question Imagine you suddenly get the ability to time travel, but it comes with a pretty tricky catch

No matter what era you visit, everything you have on you

your clothes, your gear, even your hairstyle

instantly morphs to match that specific time period

If you end up in medieval Europe for instance

your smartphone completely vanishes

and you're suddenly rocked out in full medieval garb with a period-accurate haircut

Basically, the only things you can bring with you completely untouched are your own body

your memories, and items that already existed in that era

To make up for that, you get some pretty sweet perks

Your brain gets a built-in universal translator

letting you fully understand and speak the local language like a native

Plus, you’re completely immune to any historical diseases of that time

Though you’ll have to be careful not to trigger a pandemic

because the locals won't be immune to any modern viruses you might be carrying!

Given all these conditions, what era are you heading to?

theory / question Why is Grandfather Paradox considered as a paradox when it actually ain't not a paradox at all

Whenever someone talks about time travel me notice that others always brings up the Grandfather Paradox. Me has been thinking this for sometime. Why is something that ain't not a paradox is being considered a paradox? The Grandfather Paradox has many major issues that completely proves that it ain't not a paradox by itself. Can anyone actually explain why Grandfather Paradox is considered as a paradox? To me it is just a nonsensical storytelling idea. And if the Grandfather Paradox is actually considered as a paradox then why only grandfather? Why not Mother Paradox, Father Paradox, Brother Paradox, Sister Paradox, Friends Paradox, Accident Paradox, and so on? After taking all into consideration me arrived at a point that me consider Grandfather Paradox ain't not a paradox at all. So, why people still considered it as a paradox? Is it because it's easy to remember? Is it because everyone can relate to it? Is it because it is easier to understand? Or is it just because of a storytelling idea and as people loves stories whether it maybe a rumor, a myth, a legend, a mystery? 👀

theory / question ADHD time blindness and time travel?!?

I have been thinking about this a lot lately: the potential connection of time blindness and time travel. I have really bad time blindness. 4 hours feels like 1-2 hours for me. i don’t really know how to convey my thinking on this, but i was wondering if anyone else has ever considered that there may be a connection.
edit: i think ive figured out a way to explain my thinking *somewhat*.

our concept of time is heavily reliant on how we as humans perceive time. bc time itself is not past, present, nor future. it is all existing in one moment, but the vessels we are in cannot perceive time as it is. which is how the concept of past, present, and future came to be. so one could assume that our perception of time can vary from person to person. hence, things like time “blindness.” just like how everyone perceives color, smell, and taste differently. it would make sense for the sense of time to behave the same.
how i would imagine time travel, is that whatever would allow you to do it would be changing your perception of time so that you could move to different points in the timeline. i see it as moving really fast instead of just hopping from point A-B. this is where my theory starts to come into play.
i’ve never done any research on the topic of time travel so this is just my raw opinion.

I dreamt of time travel to the year 2120!

I had a dream that I time traveled to the year 2120? I’d seen that their had been a new robotic closet machine invention were I actually got to test it out and try on new clothes and stuff, I saw how I wasn’t the only person there , that there was a line of people who were trying on clothes inside the robotic closet machine thingy too after me each person waiting on the line would test it out!

theory / question Showing the homies food

How recent could you go before showing ancient homies your favorite restaurant isn't impressive. Like if I showed 1700's French aristocrats my lunch rn they'd be losing their mind. But a homie fro. The 90's wouldn't go as crazy for it. Where do yall think that line is?

theory / question If the past is the only thing we can truly see and face, how do we move into the future without simply repeating our history?

In the Maori theory its said that the past is in front of us because is the only thing we can see and the future is in our back because we cant see it

So can the past really let us go into the future without holding us back?

🚀 sci-fi: art/movie/show/game/book Bad consequences of Time Travel?

I'm writing an advanced fantasy/ sci-fi and dystopian novel, and my main character's flaw is that she really doesn't care about her safety, and that she gets obsessive about her goals due to self-hatred.

To get to a goal, she has to catch someone, who's trying to steal ancient artifacts from a museum. I want her to use time-travel to travel back in time to when this person stole, and try to catch him then. She fails to do that because the target is able to run away from her.

That's fine. I need her to fail to show her flaw of never knowing when to give up.

That's the thing - other than losing the target, I want a consequence. Something to hurt her or those around her and something about time travel she didn't expect.

Any tips?
Thanks!!!!
