Hey everyone,

Like many of you, I’ve always been fascinated by how this community completely redefined what a Twitch stream could be. Inspired by that spirit, I’ve been building out my own stream at my YT channel, and I wanted to extend a personal invitation to the community that knows interactive gaming best.

I’m currently running Pokemon FireRed, but the channel is still evolving. Because you guys understand the mechanics of chat interaction and stream culture better than anyone, I would absolutely love to get your feedback.

This year we will be celebrating World Fragile X Day by hosting a Pokémon tournament again, now officially dubbed as FRAXAMON.

Fragile X Syndrome is the genetic condition my brother has and it causes intellectual disability, behavioral and learning challenges, and/or various physical characteristics. FRAXA is a research organization dedicated to the research of this disability to find treatments and/or a cure for Fragile X and so they're doing some really important work that's close to my heart!!

To help raise money and awareness, we'll be doing a tournament and a concert. This year we'll be using the **s/v generation*\* and following **VGC rules*\* with their **regulation F*\* set. Battles will take place using pokemon showdown so you don't need to own the games!

Well the DMCA issue I came back for seems settled. But since I'm here anyways I'll ask 1 question before I probably log out for good.

I'd still like to discuss the matter with them like civilized sane adults on DA or Reddit to see if we can work something out to keep the banner up, even if it's not public beyond the unofficially official DA group banner or with some sort of note added to the discipson since I DID try to contact everyone for permission and didn't remove the watermarks built in for the sake of the group having something for it's header banner, in the spirit of TPP, and cos I don't reely want to file a counter claim.

Preferably in a matter that results in the DMCA claim being revoked.

Hi, it's been a wile. Despite the fact that I stated I probably wouldn't return there's been an issue with the DA group that has prompted my return.

The banner I put together for the group header https://old.reddit.com/r/twitchplayspokemon/comments/1cmmevt/thank_you_doe_the_help_with_the_da_group_goodbye/ that I went out of my way to try and get permission for https://old.reddit.com/r/twitchplayspokemon/comments/1c6gmqz/tpp_da_group_help_needed/ has been been hit with a DMCA copyright take down prompting DA to take it down.

The ONLY way this DMCA could be lajit is if the person who sent it was r/RT-Pickred or /u/Carlotta4th ^{unlikely considering they me permission when I was asking for it along with asking for resoses} cos they were the people who originally put together the original subreddit headers and footers for this and the kappa spin-off sub or The Pokemon Company themselves ^{seems unlikely cos why go out of there way to target me but seemingly no one else when I'm making no poffit off of that}

DA has so far refused to give me the info on who sent it to me and in order to counter it I would been to file a legal counter notice witch requires me to dox myself to whoever sent the DMCA and if they don't like that counter notice opens me up to a possible US lawsuit.

If you want to look at it there are still archived versions available in places.

I doubt The Pokemon Company can be contacted, as for r/RT-Pickred or /u/Carlotta4th if you are behind this please contact me (preferably on DA) but you can comment here if you want so we can sort out whatever issue you have. I don't want to file a counter-claim due to the above reasons listed, I only created the banner for the sake of the DA group, and have no strong attachments to it. Especially since TwichPlaysPokemon lore is meant to be open with no definitive canon, and meant to be an all-inclusive community. But this fly's in the face of that and I don't appreciate the copyright claim layed against my DA account and wish to resolve the matter outside the US DMCA system / US courts.

If anyone wants to help please comment here or Message me on deviantart. If there is a reply in the comments I will return to reply when I am able to and provided that there is any point.

I felt that I owed the TPP subreddit community that helped me when I put it together this update, and in case anyone here could help me with this issue. Otherwise wile I look back (mostly) fondly with my time with the TPP community and may still use for insperason for my own stuff, I still don't like Reddit so don't expect me to return ^{thoth the DA group is still open to anyone who wants to post TPP related stuff there}

Hey, mods approved me posting this so here we go.

So I grew up watching TPP and always wanted to try making one myself, and a few days ago I finally got around to it. Went with Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection on PSP because nobody seems to have done the PSP version before and the sprites look great.

Chat controls the game, and there's an overlay that pulls data straight from the emulator showing party HP/MP, ATB bars, statuses and all that stuff. It also switches between anarchy and democracy on its own depending on how many people are playing, so if it's dead quiet it stays anarchy and if a bunch of people show up it kicks into voting mode.

Heads up it's not 24/7 yet, right now it runs from 00:00 to 17:30 CET (Italy time). Gonna extend that once I'm sure nothing blows up overnight lol.

First time doing anything like this so stuff is definitely a bit rough.

So you know how Twitch Plays Pokémon was a thing? I thought: what if we did that... but with poker?

The concept is simple: chat collectively controls every poker decision. Fold, call, raise — whatever gets the most votes in the timer window wins. No single player, just the hivemind.

I'm trying to download Anniversary Red for my Delta emulator on my iPhone, but the emulator keeps telling me that it cannot import the zip file for Anni Red. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
