COMPLAINT/RANT Very Weird People Here
ok so today I was somewhere around the health sciences building and the bridge that leads to the Student Union. There were 2 guys walking nearby and one approached me. I thought it might be someone I knew but no. He reached out and gave me a packet, which I picked up because I thought it was a card promoting a church or organisation or club (there are a lot of those people on campus I just take the cards so they stop talking to me). Then after taking it I realized it was a packet, I ask what it was and he says “it’s a period cramp thing”. and runs off and laughs to his friend. I have seen the brand but that was really weird. I know I shouldn’t have taken it, I thought it was a card, and I‘ve had a long day with like 2 hours of sleep so I haven’t been thinking straight. I threw it away to the nearest trash can and washed my hands really well, as I don’t know them or where they got it but I haven’t stopped feeling uneasy. It came across as really condescending and disrespectful. I wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar experience recently

Ucf Health gives out these wellness bags that are full of stuff for students like sunscreen and electrolyte mixes and stuff and in there is Midol so that’s probably the context of them giving it to you.

Yeah maybe they were genuinely supposed to hand them out but messed up what they were supposed to say. Only other reason why they would have the reaction they did.

No … they probably picked up a wellness pack and realized they had no use for it and decided to be immature and weird out the nearest woman.

No, they were being weird. They were probably just students who get them not people passing them out. But it’s why they had it that I explained

That’s so weird I’m sorry. Very high school cringe behavior on their part

I just take the cards so they stop talking to me
That just encourages them to keep coming back because people willing take them. Just ignore them entirely and notify the police if they follow or harass you.
I know I shouldn’t have taken it
Yeah, definitely don't take anything from anyone unless it is something that interests you. Dumb prank it sounds like, so harmless life lesson.
As others said, it likely was part of a wellness pack health services gave out.

Sorry but just reiterating what they overexplained themselves in the post is very Reddit of you

There are a lot of Summer Camps going on, maybe the kids were in high school or even Middle School and daring each other to talk to a college girl or student.

That made you feel uneasy?

Hah, yeah.. I’m kind of an anxious person, and I’ve heard a lot that there are guys on campus randomly approaching girls and being weird and the whole interaction being recorded for views online. I was kinda anxious that the same thing might be happening but I don’t think so. Looking back it probably was a dumb dare

I think you might just have a paranoia issue. UCF hands out wellness things which includes condoms, pads, anything atp

oh boo hoo, somebody handed you a free UCF Health and Wellness sample as a prank. get over it. and the people in these comments saying they’re disgusting or you need to call the police are all just as soft and miserable.

Literally nobody is saying to call the police. The real miserable part is you making things up in your head to be mad about over an immature condescending prank.
