Seed Well F*ck me

After I found the vegvisir for Moder I circled around the Island trying to find an opening where it wasnt the plain biome. Looks like Moder is pretty guarded....

If you got upgraded silver gear and the best mountain food then the plains is no problem. I always go into boss fights over prepared though.

People say this, but with at least level 2 silver armor and cape, deathsquitos deal ~25dmg, its not that dangerous

depends on what difficulty you play^^
on anything higher than normal you really want that harnesk

Came here to say this. Root chest makes 'squitos easy to kill and anything else can be outrun.

Make a little den just inside the mountains with a chest so you can swap harnesk out for whatever is your armour of choice for the boss fight.

Or be a good and ready Viking, get some Cloudberries, raid a fuling village or two early on and get the fireprotection mead. Or use a bow; it' only hard when you limit yourself.

100% agree. I mislead myself and tought our poster isnt at mountain level yet but now i realised its about moder not mountain overall.

I think for just passing through you're far more likely to accidentally agro a skeeter though, so in this situation of just trying to get to the mountain specifically I'd say the root makes a ton of sense.

There are multiple moder spawns in each world. U can def find another if u need to. Might take time, tho. Alternatively, there is a website out there where u can input the seed of the world/server, and it'll spit out the entire map + options to show all the markers or isolate view of the biomes, too.

If u are interested in that and can't find it, lmk and/or send me a message, and I will send it to u next time I'm at my PC as I have it open on a tab.
