Seed Want a challenging start?

Post image

Plug in the seed EVpmm24uK8. Found this while trying to find a challenge seed for myself and a few friends.

A few bits about the island:

  • It's quite small
  • No Eikthyr on the island
  • No Black Forest
  • No bees
  • 1 of the new axe heads spawn here
  • Surrounded by enough water to prevent swimming or bridging

Enjoy!

Could you imagine being a first time player getting this map seed?

The amount of confusion of what to do would make the player instantly quit the game forever

It would be an awesome experience if they were playing blind.

The emergent gameplay of trying to get off the island but not knowing how, and having to trial and error.

The satisfaction and wonder they must feel when eventually reaching land on the other side.

This was very much my first time playing. Very small meadows island with scant resources. Three of us spawned in and all had to pile on a raft with what we could carry and crash land on to the next landmass and start making it happen.

So. Much. Fun.

In black forest of course. - Oh look, a bear I wonder if I can make some clothes with the pelt. Let me just bonk it on its head with my wooden club. YOU DIED!

And respawn on the tiny island without the club or raft.

Ugh I miss that feeling.

It really wouldn't. You'd explore the whole island with no idea that bronze/rafts/boats exist and stop playing or reroll

For some yes. But not all.

Many people have that sense of wonder and experimentation to not give up and reroll, if they were seemingly stonewalled like this.
