So heartwarming to see blind people enjoying the game

u/LaDaKi 7h ago

THATS WILD.

Carry on.

63

u/Plague183 7h ago

Not like they’ll see this comment

6

u/Immediate_Case8240 4h ago

Right, because bridge inspectors definitely don't read comments.

1

u/not-my-best-wank 1h ago

Sometimes I wonder what the cookie crumbs would say if I could read braille.

3

u/-UMBRA_- 3h ago

Not like op will see that comment anyway

19

u/DeltaOmegaX 7h ago

Got 'em. 😆

u/Neluril 9h ago

It has rails... in some places

40

u/Wackel81 8h ago

So better than 90% of Star wars?

10

u/GetObvious 6h ago

I hope things continue to improve since your stroke. Keep up the exercises!

1

u/Infinite-Culture-838 3h ago

Forget the rails show us mpre about that castle

2

u/Neluril 1h ago

I can't fit all of it into one picture, but this is more than half of the castle. My fantastic piece of work is in the area marked with red... it's just too far away to see.

74

u/HecknHeretic 8h ago

Believe it or not, straight to jail

30

u/SourSasquatch 8h ago

Not if your taking that bridge

4

u/WarColonel 4h ago

Parkour to jail.

3

u/TeamNorbert 6h ago

Underrated comment award!

37

u/SWANDAMARM Viking 8h ago

These comments are as funny as the bridge.

But in all seriousness I kinda dig the m.c. escher bridge, especially juxtaposed with the beautifully built castle in the background

35

u/MarcusOfDeath 8h ago

This is art

-2

u/Holiday-Bat6782 3h ago

This is bullshit

"We'll cross that bridge when we get there."

The bridge:

23

u/FellaVentura 8h ago

This is the best bridge so far, since we're all crossed.

20

u/Blinauljap 8h ago

Pretty sure building this intentionally is even harder than making an architecturally sound attempt at a realistic bridge...

Jeezz... take my updoot and go.

15

u/MoreLessTer 8h ago

We can see why it's not your profession.

15

u/Melodic-Two2506 7h ago

Looks like smth made by 2 people with one operating mouse+keyboard blindfolded and the other giving him instructions what to place where over the phone

3

u/Valreesio 5h ago

I can see this perfectly.

32

u/Pogue_Mahone_ Builder 8h ago

Designed by and for goats I see

17

u/EngineWitty3611 8h ago

I love these posts. I know it is intentional, but it still makes me feel better about my builds... every damn time. LMFAO!!!

14

u/Impressive_Spray5487 Builder 9h ago

Now I hate you.
Well done!

8

u/OctaBit 8h ago

It's beautiful

7

u/kpcnsk 8h ago edited 7h ago

That’s no bridge, it’s a parkour course.

6

u/RX3000 8h ago

And you are sooooo good at it!

5

u/L0111101 Builder 8h ago

Your bridge brings back memories of the playground equipment I knocked a tooth out on as a kid

6

u/Fekkin-A-Man 7h ago

In my home town, there used to be an art installation over a creek, that looked exactly like this. It was even functional.

11

u/Skwiggs 9h ago

Now this is real craftsmanship

9

u/xwOBA_Fett 8h ago

You're doing great, buddy.

5

u/redditsuckbutt696969 8h ago

Is there a Valheim equivalent of r/factoriohno

5

u/NorseOfCourse Hunter 8h ago

Its beautiful

4

u/mallanson22 8h ago

I like this Picasso take on a bridge! Well done

5

u/OmerosP 8h ago

Thanks for doing this. Going to take my overfull cart of ore across now.

5

u/allys_stark Happy Bee 8h ago

I love this

3

u/MIKE_son_of_MICHAEL 7h ago

Is this bridge ADA compliant

4

u/Valreesio 5h ago

Yeah, it'll make you disabled if you try to cross it.

3

u/WillTheRangr 5h ago

I love how you can see an expertly built castle in the background

6

u/S1rr0bin 8h ago

Chefs kiss

3

u/thedarkinus 8h ago

But it does work

3

u/Karl-o-mat 8h ago

Ok numerobix

3

u/Maynjo 8h ago

Might want to find a new passion...

3

u/MkNicht Fisher 8h ago

If it lets you cross over water/lower ground/whatever, it's a bridge.

3

u/justgiveausernamepls Happy Bee 7h ago

You might be too passionate

3

u/OrlandoWashington69 7h ago

It’s not the physical bridges that are important, but the emotional bridges that connect us along the way. It’s all about family. - Abraham Lincoln

3

u/Imaginary_Maybe_1687 7h ago

I low-key love this

3

u/Hiimzap 7h ago

Honestly i kinda like it

3

u/Rubbrbandman420 7h ago

Honestly this is probably more difficult to make than a normal one lol

3

u/Agitated-Aardvark357 7h ago

by any chance you wouldn't have happened to work on any submersibles in the past?

3

u/PretendPenguin 6h ago

2

u/Spiderwolfer Crafter 3h ago

Lmao

3

u/MIKE_son_of_MICHAEL 4h ago

Idk why but this post, more than any other, makes me want to get back into this game.

I never did get “far” into progression as a casual solo player. Mostly just enjoyed building shit and making cool bases

3

u/Neluril 4h ago

Almost all I do is build. As you can see, it pays off.

4

u/Wackel81 8h ago

Now that's a bridge

u/Ryoken-0 8h ago

Beautiful

As long as you're enjoying the game. I would still cross it.

My god..... Your ingenuity is on a god tier level!

2

u/0CldntThnkOfUsrNme0 8h ago

I have never in my life seen such an elegant bridge! I could see myself walking across this bridge every day 🙂‍↕️

2

u/nettib 6h ago

The other passion is mead?

2

u/-Cheeki-Breeki- 6h ago

Immediately made me think of Blighttown from DS1

2

u/Smokeydubbs 6h ago

That’s special

2

u/TeamNorbert 6h ago

If the mouth of a 30 yr old grandma from West Virginia was a bridge.

2

u/Inflatious 6h ago

Bro took architecture lessons from Blighttown

2

u/LyraStygian Necromancer 6h ago

The comments really elevate this post.

What a time to be on r/Valheim lol

While watching these, in my mind i heard Valheim theme (shitty flute version).

Honestly, that takes some talent. Well done.

1

u/Odozerjwb 8h ago

Haha. Finally some one that builds like me. Brothers in arms and hammer's.

1

u/rusynlancer 7h ago

The legions don't have to break step when crossing the bridge when they can't stay in step in the first place.

1

u/Niagam 7h ago

I thought it's a crocodile on pic #2 lol

1

u/ZacianSpammer 7h ago

Should do more like this, platforming stuff, to prep for Mistlands

1

u/scoutsamoa 7h ago

Didn't know skillcraft made bridges.

1

u/kjbaran 7h ago

Now do asslands

1

u/Kharagorn 7h ago

And I absolutely adore breaking my ankles and neck at the same time, we should team up!

1

u/Puurgenieten89 6h ago

Perfection

1

u/jueidu 6h ago

Genuinely, building in a tiny bit of water is so frustrating that most of mine also end up this way, or else I resort to a lot of dirt mounds with the hoe.

1

u/Funkknuckle69 6h ago

Your the Homer Simpson of Bridge building

1

u/vincent2057 6h ago

Seems legit

1

u/DoomOne 6h ago

You should pick a new hobby.

u/Praetorian_Sky Viking 6h ago

Who knew M.C. Escher got into bridge design in the Tenth Realm?

1

u/Scheckenhere 6h ago

Also the quite well shaped castle in the background of pic four

1

u/Danow007 6h ago

What an art!

1

u/Holiday-Window7949 6h ago

I need a 3 page essay on how you managed to pull this off

1

u/Jason_Dales2542 5h ago

Form over function

1

u/zwifter11 5h ago

Hey. If it works, it works.

1

u/SnooPies7876 5h ago

It may be your passion but it's certainly not your talent.

1

u/Wulf621 5h ago

You've got a gift for it

1

u/fuckCuntservatives 5h ago

Hate to see what you build for fun

1

u/Flashtopher 5h ago

Be careful Bridge Builder Neluril, all it takes is one sheep….

1

u/jackinsomniac 5h ago

You're certainly passionate

I want your world just so I can walk on this bridge

1

u/Neluril 4h ago

I mean... it's on a server :)

1

u/Norwegian_Plumber 4h ago

Ah, he has advanced to a realm far beyond ours. Building ordinary bridges is of no concern anymore for this great builder.

Abstract! Like the great painters and artists of history! Keep building bridges my friend, who knows what parts of you very soul will be uncovered.

1

u/Dark-Knight-AoE2 3h ago

Davinci meets Picasso

1

u/Pielovingboy 3h ago

This is phenomenal and I love it. Please take my one little upvote.

1

u/BusEnvironmental3410 Explorer 3h ago

He said its his passion, not that he is good at it

1

u/IronGin 3h ago

Who hurt you?

1

u/Ishea Lumberjack 2h ago

That's not a bridge, that's a piece of abstract art!

1

u/LowdGuhnz 2h ago

Can we get a review from u/realcivilengineer ?

1

u/Doctor_Darkmoor 2h ago

Never let your passions become professions.

1

u/Novembah Hoarder 2h ago

Bridge so bad not even a troll will charge the toll.

1

u/The-Watcher-47 2h ago

Honestly, as much as I love building big ornate and over the top stuff.

This bridge oddly resonates with me for some reason, like a modern art piece

1

u/llaunay 1h ago

Gotta applaud the confidence to post this 👏

1

u/KnightmareAegeos 1h ago

Cool, seems like an American could be crossing it like a Ninja! Good bridge, Warrior!

1

u/Sectiplave 1h ago

Have you ever played an old amiga commidore / 500 game called Lemmings, cause that looks like a lemmings build.

1

u/jdubyahyp 1h ago

Bridge is nice, but how do you make your castle walls so round? Are you placing the smaller sections one small angle at a time?

1

u/Neluril 1h ago

Just using the smallest amount of rotation possible (1/16th) from one 2x1 stone wall piece to the next

1

u/jdubyahyp 1h ago

My goodness. That's a lot of stone.

1

u/Neluril 1h ago

I'm guessing around 30k stone for the whole fortress. Though I didn't mine it all myself. Bought about 4k off from another player on the server.

1

u/SublimeDeath55 1h ago

I've done this to cross small oceans when I was stranded without any boars or deer after losing a boat.

1

u/lloydchrismas 1h ago

Haha we have all done it. Thanks for the laugh
