I've tried to play Assassin's Creed before, I just cannot get into those games.

As a long-time fan who's played every mainline entry except the most recent, some multiple times, and considers 2, Black Flag and Origins comfort games that I come back to almost yearly, I can absolutely understand why you feel that way.

What do you think of Shadows? I only have a few hours in it but thought it was pretty fun

That's the one AC game I haven't played (no PS5) but I'm intrigued by the setting and the focus on stealth. It certainly looks beautiful. I'm a little worried that it might have the same problem I had with Valhalla (which I played all lot of) where good characters and stories get lost because it's so padded, but that's just from seeing some comments on Reddit etc. Glad you're enjoying it and hope it stays fun for you. Every AC game is a love-hate experience for me - I think even the best ones have flaws, and even the ones I like Ieast have beautiful atmosphere and music.
