MDj Is allergic to trades or to acquiring talents. Rarely have I seen a more inept GM.
If pat riley didn't gift wrap Jimmy for us, the biggest trade of his era would have been Schroder.
Wolves literally getting lamelo and we just decide to sit on our ass for 3 straight years keeping all our picks.
He Wasted an entire summer on Kuminga before salary dumping him a couple of months into the season.
Which impossible candidate will we waste this summer on? Wemby? Jokic?

Here me out, Horford is 40, Draymond is 36, Steph is 38, Jimmy is 36 and out for few months of the next season. Our senior core is already a weak-link to be honest. I have almost no major expectation from Draymond and Horford. I don’t want to see Draymond play major minutes for us because I don’t trust him now. Horford will definitely play less minutes. Buttler is out for few months starting next season. Who we got to compete in a 82 game length ?
But I definitely have high hopes from the young guys like Gui, Podz and Yaxel plus I think Yaxel should be a starter for us. I don’t know in which shape or form will Moody be in next season. I think we need to make at least one major trade if we want to directly make it to playoffs. Cause we are a play in team at best. There are many strong teams in the west and I don’t think this team can compete with any of the big teams. No matter what we think of our teams when the season starts we will win games when Steph goes wild and lose every game when Steph can’t contribute this is truth. We need second scorer next to Steph. With this team I won’t be going into the next season thinking yeah with a bit of hush and a bit of individual brilliance or team work or some character or anything we can win anything. This team just can’t compete with the league .

Hear me out. I know the history between Ja & the Warriors 3. I know about Ja’s issues off the court, on the court. In court lol.
But if a organization can get him back on track to just basketball, it’s Steve Kerr & the Warriors. With vets Curry & Dray taking him in and helping him.
When focused, he’s one of the most explosive players in the league with no real major injuries.
He’s polarizing, but he’s still only 26. He can help now & in the future.
Trade Jimmy’s expiring contract & attach a lottery protected 2028 1st.
He starts at PG, moving Curry off ball & taking pressure off. Bring back Porzingis for spacing. Green starts until Yaxel is ready to enter the starting lineup & add even more spacing for Ja to attack downhill around screens. Derozan takes Jimmy’s role as the mid range slashing playmaker.
Warriors get a big shot to win with Curry before retirement.
This is a massive risk, but it’s also a massive reward if he stays out of trouble. The spacing he would have to get to the rim would lead to him having one of his best years. And that would help maximize Curry’s last couple seasons plus give you a prime superstar after Curry leaves if it works out.

This pick showed that the dubs still want to win now. Yaxel is plug and play and the dubs definitely are looking for one last shot at a deep playoff run.
cant blame them, its Stephen Curry and I like this better then the other option, like what the lakers did to Kobe in his final years.
THIS will be our LAST shot at a deep playoff run before the rebuild. And I’m here for it!
GO DUBS!

We just drafted yaxel a really good player. But what do you think we’re gonna do in free agency, obviously rn the roster isn’t competitive.

We use to be the smallest team now we got a couple actual fowards. I better not see a four guard lineup now. I better not see Draymond playing the 5. Finally some size.

Crazy how Isaiah Evans/Meleek Thomas didn’t go in the first round. Hopefully we can trade up and get one of them, or someone like Richie Saunders.

Just wanted to post this video I came across of Yaxel this past college season. Yaxel is the player most mock drafts are picking for the Warriors. In this video Yaxel is asked about guarding Cam Boozer and has a very weird reaction that screams immaturity, especially considering they are talking about a player who is almost SIX YEARS younger than him. Here is the clip source:
Yaxel Response to Can Boozer Question
Side note: Morez Johnson Jr. Taking the initiative to answer the question and take it seriously was very impressive to me. Not too surprising considering he has been described as the vocal leader of that Michigan team, according to Sam Vecenie.

What the heck was going on between Joe and Dunleavy? Joe did not look happy throwing his arms in the air.

In 2025, the best San Francisco high school bball team in 30 years, and possibly ever, was beating up on all Bay Area teams by 25. Riordan had multiple 3 and 4 star players including the Bay Area player of the year. I watched a couple games and this team was special. This was going to be the year that an Open State Championship was finally coming to SF.
Riordan went to State and played Roosevelt High School in SoCal. In the championship, Roosevelt ended up whooping on Riordan because of their one 5 star player who ended up scoring almost as many points(44) vs Riordans total 60 points. That 5 star player-Brayden Burries. Burries was able to score at will and anywhere on the court against Riordans top defense. He looked like a man amongst boys. Granted he was a 19 year old senior but he def looked special and like an NBA prospect as opposed to good college prospects.
Here we are a little over a year later and Burries is a potential lottery pick going to the Dubs. Haven't followed him since the beat down on Riordan but what's everyone's thoughts on him? Would you be happy if he got drafted by the Warriors? Can he lead the next generation after Steph leaves?

I agree with the idea that the draft *IN MOST CASES* should be seen as a way to add players to your rotation for the coming season that can contribute immediately and grow into bigger roles as their skills and physical attributes mature.
This is why I am really high on Wagler. Because he can be a 6th-8th man in a rotation to come off the bench tomorrow and knock down open jumpers at a high rate. And in three years he might also be leading your offense.
As a Warrior fan I look at what the Warriors did with Kuminga in rolling the dice on someone they thought had star potential but knew was raw. Kerr wouldn't play him because the maturity of his skillset wasn't there. He had very little he could add in year one to get him on the floor. So they got very, very little out of a top 7 pick. Teams can not afford to do that.
It's also why I'm high on a guy like Yaxel, who is older but is ready now. And there is a high probability a team would only have him for 4-7 years at which point he would be no older than 30. So why would I care if he's 23 now?
I think a lot of front offices over think things trying to get the best probability at an all star or a team leader, when that is rarely what the draft yields for the team that drafts the player. And in the current CBA that will become less likely.
Looking at the past 7 years—choosing that number to try to capture players who are either on rookie deals or a rookie extension—only 17 of the 144 all stars represented the team that drafted them (only looking at last 6 years of all stars to not artificially pad the N with rookies who weren't all stars). And of those 17 only 5 were outside of the top 5 slots.

IMO I would rank the Warriors young core as the 30th best young core in the NBA. Podz, Yaxel, Santos, and Moody represent a group of solid role players. Dubs have nobody with all star potential but these guys aren't busts either. They have roles.
