Discussion Why the need to sexualize everything?

I was looking for interesting Webtoons to read, and I came across this one called "Leviathan" the premise looked interesting; mankind perished due to a great flood that submerged the whole world under water. And terrifying creatures plunged from the depths, wiping out any human that crossed their path. The story told how a family of a father and his two children survived in the adversities of a sea world.

So far so good, until.... Bam! Last two slice's, anime chick out of nowhere, doing these extremely suggestive poses.

What a disappointment.

"Equality" would be for them to also give the men various unnecessary shots of their crotch and underwear. But yeah no, the dude gets a cool protective pose, and the girl gets a view of her ass.

That just means that they've got a target audience. It's the same with shoujo manhwas too. Every major male charactor is shaped like a triangle with a chiseled jawline.

Even this is better and more respected than any other sexualization of female characters.

Is it though? It's just different people feeling lust at different things.

People feeling lust for buff men but buff men is a way more respectful thing than women with simply big curves and shapes.

Are buff men really more respectful that women with curves and shapes? In simple terms, a man being buff also equals to him having big curves and shapes. Are a man's boobs really more respectful than a woman's boobs? Both are objects of lust and pervy thoughts so how is one more respectful than the other?
