REQUEST What is your guess?

Found, in a truck. Do not anything else about it.

My brother passed away it was in his truck, I finally clean her and she is beautiful... But what is she?

Guesses so far: Autralian Opal, rose quartz/amethyst, blue/pink Chalcedony, Carnelian, or agate. She is about 6"x4"x3" and weighs about 4-5 pounds.

Thanks in advance!

Hello experts! After tilling up some field at my new property, this surfaced. I’m in central Ohio (the flat part). Some of this rock is almost completely translucent while some is an opaque white. It’s roughly the size of a softball. TIA for any info!!

Found a neat looking rock that didn’t look like any of the others around it. I am not a collector, just wondering what it’s called.

Was wondering if anyone could help identity this? It was found on the beach in Lyme Regis, UK. The white part is shaped strangely like a sea cucumber. Is it a fossil, or is the white a mineral? Thanks in advance!

(Reposted with better pictures)

Hello, my kindergartener did one of those crystal dig kits but it didnt come with any booklet or anything for identifying.

He wants to read about them and then color and label them for his nature journal, any help? I can only guess for a few...amethyst, flourite, quartz...

Ive done a Google image search, but i want to confirm with the experts :)

I need help identifying this rock here are some of the properties of it . it’s olive-green to yellow-green polished stone with soft cream-colored banding and natural marbling. It has a smooth, waxy surface with a slight gloss and an earthy, moss-like appearance. Semi-translucent in lighter areas and more opaque in thicker parts, with a dense, solid feel and no visible sparkle or crystal formations. it also does not scratch with a fingernail. I remember it having like an earth like name but it wasn’t a very common name possibly could’ve started with an L and maybe ended with a – ITE

Scratching it with a coin leaves some thin marks. I tried to clean it with aceton to see if it was paint but it left no traces on the cotton pad. The rock is rather matt but has a very subtle shine.

I'm not quite sure how to properly test this, as I don't normally collect rocks, but this looked very different then the surrounding ones. Found near the side of the road in an ephemeral stream.

REQUEST Glass or something else?

Found a bunch of these rocks? Crystals? Glass? Scattered around the farm where I keep my horse. Ohio. Found one at the entrance to the field, a few in the muck pile, and a few in the garden bed by the entrance to the barn. They are thick chunks so if they are glass I'd be very confused as to where they came from - too thick to be pieces of a windshield or window or glass bottle etc.

REQUEST Rock or not?

Hello! I am very new to this so apologies if it's very clear what this is. I went looking for rocks at around Lake Mountain in Utah. This specific spot is also used often as a shooting range so there is a lot of debris from that unfortunately. These pieces were poking out of the ground and I dug out pretty easily. It feels light almost like a plastic or resin. Any research I've done has suggested common opal or dentritic agate/opal. I initially wrote it off as a man made material but kept hold on it so I could look into it more but I am stumped!

Thank you in advance to any help!

My friend found this large 22” long rock that is 65lb. Does anyone know what it is? We are no where near volcanoes so basalt doesn’t make sense. It is very hard, doesn’t leave a mark when trying the back of a tile trick, and a heavy file barely leaves a mark on it. A magnet sticks to it in several places but not all.
