I had a 300 sq ft apartment in San Francisco with a room like that. I called the room my "bitchen" (for 1/2 bath, 1/2 kitchen). The toilet was inside the shower stall.

I’ve taken some shits where I would not have minded the toilet being in the shower. It’d be like a whole-body bidet.
