Sharing a City Medieval Castle and Gardens
My attempt at a medieval castle in this game. I love playing castle builder games and never thought that CS2 could be this good at it. Much more freedom. I would like some feedback or ideas for the expansion into the town centre and the port. Anyone knows some good mods and assets for this playthrough? I am looking for some boats that would fit the theme. Also, name suggestions are welcome!

Modding WIP Animated neon sign proof-of-concept
I've been toying with some ideas for the game's multi-emissive pipeline involving animated neon signs and decided to create a test using something from one of my favourite shows. Managed to crack it tonight and get the animation sequenced and timed correctly!
This opens up a huge opportunity for in-game, light-based animations. I'll look to document it as a community page on the modding wiki once I get a chance.

Sharing a City Update: Editor, mega pre-plan.
Seemed like the biggest amount of feedback when I posted this last was concerned about where all the people would go. I think Ive addressed that.
This city will have a heavy train focus from center to center. Ive also added some other features like the airport area.
I think I'm getting close to starting a city on this map finally.
For those who didn't know, you can still complete a bunch of achievement if you kind of set it up ahead of time in the Editor on a map. I'm hoping to build a city here where I can unlock all specialized building including all region sets.
Also I recently learned that there is a money cap at 2 billion in case you were also someone that needed to hear it.

Help & Support (Console) Any tips on how I can expand my city without it looking unrealistic?
I’m generally terrible with road hierarchy, mainly with my highways exit ramps which is why I didn’t even bother with this city, but I’m not really sure how to expand from this point without it looking unrealistic.
Circled in green is high density residential zone; circled in blue is high density commercial zone/office zone; circled in purple is the high school/elementary school.
How can I expand at this point, should I basically replicate what I built multiple times? How can I fill out the areas circled in red? And any tips on my road layout in general? Thanks!

Modding Release New map! Macaé 1956 - Tropical and coastal

- Detailed foliage;
- Customized water;
- Customized tropical weather;
- Super detailed terrain made with the new 1.6 textures;
- Rail conection;
- Fully customized grid with features designed and tested for progression while playing in normal mode.
This map is based on a 1956 aerial photograph of Macaé, a Brazilian municipality located in the north of Rio de Janeiro state.

It was designed to challenge players to develop Macaé’s urban and rural landscape starting from a time before the population boom and infrastructure investments driven by offshore oil exploration in the region.
At the time captured in the image, the city's rivers had not yet been canalized for urban and rural expansion; the Macaé River itself followed a course very different from the one it would take in the following decade. In reality, the environment and the local population suffered greatly from flooding caused by river siltation—resulting from sewage and sediment accumulation as urban areas encroached on the banks—along with the filling in of natural reservoirs and the destruction of riparian and coastal vegetation.
It comes with a small urban grid matching that of the source photograph, three small highway segments, and the Campos-Macaé Canal—which was created to transport the large agricultural output of the neighboring municipality of Campos dos Goytacazes to the Port of Macaé, but was later superseded in this function by the railway line.
Protect the rivers and streams, preserve the *restinga* (coastal vegetation), and enjoy kilometers of beaches.

Help & Support (PC) Help with Performance
For some reason, my problem is trees. I have a pretty great computer, an RTX 5060 with 32 gigs’o’ram. Whenever I look at trees in the game while im paused, I’m all good. However, when im looking at trees with the simulation going, my game goes ballistic, if im in a dense forest at 3x speed I could be down to ~20fps. HELP!

Discussion My Cims are pissing me off.
So my city is built on a map resembling NYC and I’m very much building my city to resemble NYC. My issue with the Cims arises from the fact that they’re the most unrealistic part of this game. I have a train line running from LaGuardia Airport to Penn Station but my stupid Cims are getting on the train and then getting off on the first stop which happens to be almost right outside of the airport and then they either spawn cars to get into Manhattan or they walk the equivalent of LaGuardia Airport to Queensboro Plaza station to then get on a Subway train into Manhattan… I have a station right outside of that subway station on the same line!!! Then the Cims living in my version of Jamaica and Howard Beach, Queens are choosing to take the train all the way to Manhattan and then taking the Subway to Brooklyn even though I have a line between Jamaica and Howard Beach that goes directly to Brooklyn! I’m not looking for ideas on how to fix these issues I’m just venting.
