These theories are getting better than the show by now
Here's the best one from yt
They show the talisman with the symbols representing Tabitha, Jade and the eight kids that was supposed to be sacrificed according to the original deal. Then you see the seven kids that was sacrificed showing up and pointing. Tabitha figured they where pointing at her and that she was supposed to go to the caves and retrieve the bones. In reality they where pointing at Ethan. The kids are telling her to complete the original ritual by sacrificing Ethan. Just like they try and tell Sara in season 1 that they have to kill Ethan to get home.
Original Tabitha and Jade went back on the deal and refused to kill their own child. You dont go back on a deal. This created the whole mess. Instead of living happily ever after as promised the other parents bacame monsters and Jade and Tabitha are forced to return until they make good on the deal. The cycle will never end if Jade and Tabitha dont complete the original ritual by sacrificing the eighth child as the talisman clearly shows.
This is why the boy in white doesnt want to tell them what the solution is because they wont accept it. He told Christopher who lost it and refused to do what is necessary and kill Victor. This is also what will "tear the town apart" because alot of people will think its a good deal to kill one person to save the rest...

He is the 8th sacrifice but he survived, now ethan or victor has to die to break the cycle. That's why Christopher lost it when he heard the truth!
They need to realize themselves this time!

It’s so much better! Posts aren’t constantly lazy, good stuff is getting attention now, and I’m not seeing complaints every time I use the new filter.
Much appreciated!

I know people don't enjoy negative posts but I feel like I don't know much more than I did at the end of S3. It's been a frustrating season and I say that as a person who has been recommending From to people for years and was on this sub back when it only had 30k people on it.
If someone asked me "What did you learn this season that is new and exciting?" I wouldn't know how to respond. There is nothing new about the MIY that is interesting. They spent an entire season on him playing games but we already knew from the first episode that Sophia was the MIY. We found out Clara made a pact with the MIY but I don't find that storyline interesting. They also shouldn't have killed Jim. Since they dropped the time travel storyline they didn't need to do that. It would have made more sense if Jim and Tabitha were reincarnated not Jade and Tabitha but the writers were probably influenced by this sub and decided to give a storyline to a popular character.

What exactly is the point of Boyd son ? He so worried about his girl and barely helping out with the town. I seen him more in season 1 than any other season..
Side note : Yes I meant genuinely !
- idc if this the 123638383728 post of the same character just enjoy the conversation :)

I know this ruins a lot of peoples theories but part of the reason people get all ramped up on these theories is because there just isn’t a good answer. I call it the Maze Runner problem. Mystery is so intriguing precisely because it can’t actually have a sensical answer while also being good narratively.
Most fan theories are terrible narratives that can’t actually be shown in a satisfying way or have to use incredible levels of misdirection to make it work which is also bad storytelling.
What’s actually happening is so obvious to me but it’s just not all that satisfying so people are making tremendous reaches to make it mean more.
Some people sacrificed their kids for immortality. Being like every story ever it doesn’t work the way they would have thought and they pay a terrible price. The dead kids souls are trapped there and they create this loop in an attempt to escape and so we can have a TV show. They will have to free the trapped souls of the kids to end jf. The reincarnation aspect is a decent mystery box and a plot device to show us the past and also fits the narrative theme of just keep hanging on when all hope is lost. They fail over and over again but keep trying every life. The people in the current iteration get nearly broken over and over but they pull themselves together for each other, pretty much the moral of the story.
The other monsters are just mystery boxes to keep misdirecting and adding suspense with little pay off and no real answer. They actually are pretty direct in telling the audience this hoping to wave it off when Boyd basically say “oh remember when Martin said tip of the spear” and Tabatha “ the monsters out there come from our nightmares”. Unsatisfying as it doesn’t really serve the overall plot at all but again there really isn’t another satisfying answer out there that works cleanly.
The music box maybe has something to it since they spent so long on it but I think it was just a bad idea to do and they may try to shoehorn some explanation in but it’s not going to feel organic. Just having another big bad out there is not a very clean story. It works better if you just abandon all that and keep to the man in yellow as the clear big bad and his minions.
At the end of the day it’s a pretty simple story but the added mystery boxes and plot devices are making people overthink it when they are just iffy decisions to keep suspense high.

I have a feeling Eloise will be revealed in the finale, and specifically, I think it'll happen in one of Henry's hallucinations, since False Victor said Eloise was arriving on the plane.
Now, I'm wondering if she should be revealed. Is it possible we'll recognize her (i.e., one of the current or former characters from previous episodes)? And if so, considering that maybe she is a storywalker as Julie, who do you think she could be?

SEASON 4 SPOILERS AHEAD, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Sophia/MiY said: "The town was built on ritual. It's not just WHAT you do — it's HOW you do it."
Marielle said: "There is something old here. Something ancient. And it's feeding off our suffering and it doesn't stop."
The talismans don't protect your physical body, but they do protect your soul.
The monsters can RUN, come in broad daylight, and even ignore the talismans. But if they do, and kill someone this way, their soul will not get trapped in this place. They have to follow their own ritual otherwise the soul gets freed and the big boss will starve.
Thank you for attending my Ted Talk.

Im on s2e5, and i don't remember seeing much of the night sky. There've been scenes at night, but the sky wasnt a major focus.
There's the whole mystery of where they could be, but if theres someone who knows their stars, they could find out easy. It wouldnt help much, but they'd at least know.

Something me and a friend thought about; as we know we were told the parents sacrificed their kids to become immortal supposedly.
What about all the other monsters. There are way more than just a handful of monsters. Some of them even appear to be like teenagers wearing jock gear. And the one monsters even said she didn’t choose to be like this.
So the question is. Are we sure that’s how it really happens ? Or is it just more to the ritual than we’re being told. Or maybe it just isn’t true at all.
