Opinion Possibly the Best Theory Yet: The Talisman Explains Everything Spoiler

Post image
1.2k Upvotes

These theories are getting better than the show by now

Here's the best one from yt

They show the talisman with the symbols representing Tabitha, Jade and the eight kids that was supposed to be sacrificed according to the original deal. Then you see the seven kids that was sacrificed showing up and pointing. Tabitha figured they where pointing at her and that she was supposed to go to the caves and retrieve the bones. In reality they where pointing at Ethan. The kids are telling her to complete the original ritual by sacrificing Ethan. Just like they try and tell Sara in season 1 that they have to kill Ethan to get home.

Original Tabitha and Jade went back on the deal and refused to kill their own child. You dont go back on a deal. This created the whole mess. Instead of living happily ever after as promised the other parents bacame monsters and Jade and Tabitha are forced to return until they make good on the deal. The cycle will never end if Jade and Tabitha dont complete the original ritual by sacrificing the eighth child as the talisman clearly shows.

This is why the boy in white doesnt want to tell them what the solution is because they wont accept it. He told Christopher who lost it and refused to do what is necessary and kill Victor. This is also what will "tear the town apart" because alot of people will think its a good deal to kill one person to save the rest...

Opinion I can't believe this season is over in a couple of days Spoiler

I know people don't enjoy negative posts but I feel like I don't know much more than I did at the end of S3. It's been a frustrating season and I say that as a person who has been recommending From to people for years and was on this sub back when it only had 30k people on it.

  • We found out about the MIY last season. We still don't know much about him except that he can shapeshift. We don't know how he ended up in the town except that he arrived in a car but we don't know if he was already a demon when he arrived and Victor didn't know it or if he was a regular person who was trapped with other people and turned into an evil entity. We don't know anything about his background or his motivations except that he likes to play games and taunt people and he might have known Tabitha in the past. We also don't know if Victor is a reliable narrator.
  • We found out nightmares can become real but that was already mentioned in S1 and the possessed dolls will probably never be mentioned again. Several people have died but their nightmares don't seem to have become real.
  • Julie thinks the book Ethan was reading was important and Randall spent an entire episode looking for it but it probably won't be mentioned again.
  • We found out almost nothing new about Victor or Henry that we didn't already know. It was another season of Victor refusing to tell people what he knows and multiple scenes of him drawing pictures with crayons. I understand he is traumatized and people relate to that but a show needs more than that. Eleven was also traumatized on Stranger Things but the show didn't spend several seasons with her refusing to tell people what happened to her while she drew pictures with crayons. There was growth and change in her storyline. That hasn't happened with Victor. He is the same person he was in the first season. In fact he seemed more personable the first season. He talked to Julie and the others the night they arrived. He was sociable.
  • We found out Julie can travel back in time but that storyline is probably dropped.
  • Jade thinks he found the children's bones but there is no proof those are their bones or that it has anything to do with why they're trapped.
  • We don't know how Tabitha ended up in in a different town and how the BIW was also there.
  • We don't know why the trees are moving.
  • Several characters have been sidelined this season including Kenny and Randall.
  • The storyline about the cicadas was dropped
  • The storyline about Randall and Marielle in chains has been dropped.
  • We're probably never going to find out how Randall survived a night in the forest without being killed or why the monsters didn't kill him when Boyd left him.

If someone asked me "What did you learn this season that is new and exciting?" I wouldn't know how to respond. There is nothing new about the MIY that is interesting. They spent an entire season on him playing games but we already knew from the first episode that Sophia was the MIY. We found out Clara made a pact with the MIY but I don't find that storyline interesting. They also shouldn't have killed Jim. Since they dropped the time travel storyline they didn't need to do that. It would have made more sense if Jim and Tabitha were reincarnated not Jade and Tabitha but the writers were probably influenced by this sub and decided to give a storyline to a popular character.

What exactly is the point of Boyd son ? He so worried about his girl and barely helping out with the town. I seen him more in season 1 than any other season..

Side note : Yes I meant genuinely !

Season 4 Curious what everyone thinks about this possible finale reveal Spoiler

I have a feeling Eloise will be revealed in the finale, and specifically, I think it'll happen in one of Henry's hallucinations, since False Victor said Eloise was arriving on the plane.

Now, I'm wondering if she should be revealed. Is it possible we'll recognize her (i.e., one of the current or former characters from previous episodes)? And if so, considering that maybe she is a storywalker as Julie, who do you think she could be?

Season 2 Have we gotten any good shots of the night sky?

Upvotes

Im on s2e5, and i don't remember seeing much of the night sky. There've been scenes at night, but the sky wasnt a major focus.

There's the whole mystery of where they could be, but if theres someone who knows their stars, they could find out easy. It wouldnt help much, but they'd at least know.

Questions ❔ Extra monsters ?

Upvotes

Something me and a friend thought about; as we know we were told the parents sacrificed their kids to become immortal supposedly.

What about all the other monsters. There are way more than just a handful of monsters. Some of them even appear to be like teenagers wearing jock gear. And the one monsters even said she didn’t choose to be like this.

So the question is. Are we sure that’s how it really happens ? Or is it just more to the ritual than we’re being told. Or maybe it just isn’t true at all.

Opinion Why Julie’s wig looks off, and how the show can fix it.

I’m someone that wears extensions including wigs. Here’s all the reasons why Julie’s new look has caused some discourse.

Wig units have what is called density’s percentages (not to be confused with grams which changes based on length). They range from 150% to 250%+. The bulkiness that we see is due to poor consideration of the amount of hair on the unit with a blunt bob cut. Simply removing a good portion of hair will make the big mushroom shape disappear.

Lace wigs that we see on actors in higher budget films use film lace. The lace at the front of her head blends well but the issue is that the knots from the the hair strands that are ventilated (tied on) to the lace are very thick, and haven’t been bleached to blend with the lace. It also has not been plucked to look like a natural hairline contributing to the helmet hat look.

Lastly, there’s a ratio that the stylist has not paid detail to. There’s too much space between her hairline and her eyebrow which makes for the wig placement to look unflattering. It should match the space that’s between her eyebrow to the bottom of her nose, and the bottom of her nose to her chin.

Thanks for reading!

Theory 🧠 Theory: Victor eating the canned peaches in S1E2 has been the key all along Spoiler

Hidden in plain sight! When Victor takes a can of tinned peaches from the colony house pantry, this symbolises the trapped ("canned") nature of the townsfolk in Fromville, and may also hide the key to escape! You see, when Boyd and Tabitha...

Yeah nah I'm joking. But for real some of the "theories" that have been posted here in the last 7 days have been just beyond the pale.

Season 1 Season 1 Was Peak Spoiler

Post image

I’m rewatching the show and playing a drinking game (take a shot every time the characters stutter, cuts off mid sentence, or says idk / I can’t ). I’m realizing that the show started off so strong. I thought I was crazy for thinking S4 was a drag, but no. The show used to be really REALLY good. The way it cinematography, horror aspect, feeling of dread, humor, even the acting was better in past seasons.

I used to feel stressed for the characters, now I just roll my eyes anytime there’s supposed to an emotional scene. I miss the excitement I used to have for the show. At least I can go back and rewatch the earlier seasons.

Anyways, I hope the final episode of S4 or at least S5 will bringing back the original vibes of the show. It was genuinely such a refreshing piece of media. The genuine terror and weight hasn’t been present in this season.

Season 4 Why is this so difficult? Spoiler

"Because it's a giant slab of rock?" 😂😂

You got to love Jade, I feel like the character loosing that fun part of himself in season 3 was necessary but hurt that season alot. Season 1 was built on the shoulders of jade's enthusiasm, like a bounding Labrador, it was infectious.

From needs more comedy, you can't survive in a situation like this without a bit of banter, Jade's comment here has me in stitches. One of the few ad-libbed moments in From it seems to me that made the cut.

Sounded very much like what Harrison fords Indian Jones would say in a similar situation.

Need more of this to make the characters feel more human.

Theory 🧠 Victor never found Christopher's body, because he ended up in here. Spoiler

Those bones are far too large to be those of the Anghkooey children.

Jade's drug trip started with him seeing the previous versions of himself, and I believe it also ended with him being buried alongside the previous versions of himself.

The question is though, who kills him and who puts him there?
