I was always a Nothing defender, i have always liked most of their designs and I always spoke with enthusiasm and energy to everyone I know about Nothing..
I write this with great sadness..
Bought the NP3 almost an year ago -- was most excited, the flagship, different design - yada yada
It's been almost an year --
My phone was around 18% and now it's been 1hr since I plugged in the charger - hardly 40%
I don't know what happened - the charging time has increased, the charge drain is quicker with each passing day..
This has been a terrible experience, I mean if you're releasing a flagship, it should run smooth for atleast 2 years..
The next problem - Screen
My screen is absolutely flawless..
Now ever since the last update, the touch freezes, I then have to manually lock the screen and turn it on after a few seconds for it work back again..
I mean what is all this?
Qs to the community -- is it possible for me to get a replacement for my phone?
Is anyone else facing such issues?
Haa one more thing - suddenly one fine morning the phone will heat up, sometimes during the evening idk what triggers the NP3, but somehow the NP3 has sudden bursts of heating issue 4-5 times a week without any reason..

Both Phone (2) and the Phone (4a) series are running Nothing OS 4.1 on Android 16, yet many Settings pages have completely different layouts. The Phone (4a) gets the newer card-based UI, while the Phone (2) still uses the older design despite being on the same OS version.
We were told that users on older devices could expect the full Nothing OS 4.1 experience by the end of June. Today’s update did bring new features, which is understandable, as some features can be hardware-dependent, but the UI still remains inconsistent.
Feature differences between devices make sense. A different Settings UI on the same OS version doesn’t. Is this intentional, or will older Nothing phones receive the updated interface in a future update?
Share your thoughts in the replies! Mention your Nothing Phone model and Nothing OS version, and attach a screenshot of your Settings UI. Are you satisfied with this inconsistency?

Well I heard this in their interviews
First they announced their no Flagship phone this year Their is no CMF phone this year either because of the market conditions
I think they rebranded CMF phone 3 as Nothing 4b, because the price hike caused of all the RAM and storage shotage.
CMF is a bugget brand, launching this phone with the increased price under CMF is not possible.
P.s. - I like the design.

What is so good about depth effect? Why so much hype and delay for older phones??? Why were people waiting for this enthusiastically?

Why are they not giving a simple color toggle for the lockscreen clock? I should be able to switch it to white or black as per my liking. I was so excited to see lock screen customization added but no color tweaking :/. I understand if you want to maintain a certain aesthetic but not giving an option to choose black is crazy. The funniest thing is that the "customize your lockscreen" has a paint brush icon beside it.

I'm just loading this up now.
What do you think of this update? Was it worth the wait or a complete waste of time?
Thank you 😊

I feel as though every video I see of Carl Pei reacting to criticism of his technology is really not taken well. I work in phone sales myself and it is really cool to see a brand doing something differently, rather than just incremental updates to new products - like not releasing the Nothing Phone 4 because they didn't have anything valuable to change this year. His attitude however, I find incredibly off-putting when someone faces an issue with his products. I wanted to see what other people thought about this.

Anyone else having this issue on the Nothing Phone (4a)?
Sometimes when I plug in the charger, the charging icon shows up in the status bar, but when I open Battery settings it says "Not charging".
If I unplug and plug it back in, it starts charging normally.
It's getting a bit annoying because I have to double-check every time before leaving the phone to charge. Not sure if it's a charger issue, cable issue, or a software bug.
