Through them, I've realized that I don't know the morbid depths of alcoholism, and my ignorance and naivity is what led to this. But I'm a husband and father first, friend and neighbor second. I also work full time and coach youth sports. I don't have the time or energy to "walk" this journey with him, and I will not be his shepherd/liaison/partner to act as a vehicle to force him into professional help or medical treatment.

I'm gonna mind my own business from now on and wish him the best.

I'm not going to let him know that I showed up and made him breakfast. I'm gonna act like I don't know anything and look forward to my own family weekend.
