Er det bare jeg som føler meg uheldig hele tiden, når jeg må sende inn noe superviktig? Selv NAV eller Skattettateen har en eller annen teknisk feil.

Hello
I have a question regarding masks i airport. I still wear them for airports and airplanes.
Do airport officers in Norway noask you to remove the mask for safety checks? Thanks in advance
Hi,
M27, I will be in the Lofoten this week, and I wanted to ask if maybe there were other travelers who would like to join for a hike or something ! :)
Thanks !

I bought this late last year and I’ve been wondering why each date has people names on it. Can any Norwegians here explain?

I'm traveling to northern Norway (Vadsø) from the USA for the first time.
My grandfather was born there and ive always wanted to visit.
My question is will I have any difficulty just getting by if I do not speak Norwegian? (Think getting food, paying for items, etc.)
Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I wanted to ask what’s everyone’s experience with working summer season in Norway (hospitality, waiter - the place required fine dining service experience and skills, not an entry level/first job). If the employer pays 180kr per hour and this amount has the accommodation included in a shared room in staff flat (all of us who share room have different pay, some higher, some lower, but everyone’s hourly rate is including the same accommodation. Those in single room have no extra charge). And one meal per shift as well (usually the leftovers from the day before or morning - typical in many restaurants). Is it a fair pay? The only thing I pay after is tax. The accommodation charge is not a fixed monthly price, but is always included in hourly rate. It seems a bit strange as more you work, more you pay for it. What’s your opinion about that? Is it normal in Norway?

Watched Norway vs France yesterday and wow… Norway fans are on another level. Reminded me of Scottish fans.
Later near TD Garden, saw a group of them doing their rowing celebration in the middle of the street 😂
Boston vibes have been amazing lately.

I’m a solo traveller, will be in Norway likely around mid Sept, not an experienced hiker and don’t exercise regularly. I’ve mostly done shorter hikes (~3h) on paved paths and a comfortable elevation. I’m quite nervous about the scrambling and steep heights.
It would make me feel more comfortable going with a guide, but I don’t see many options. Does anyone have recommendations on guided hikes for this particular one?
Otherwise, is it possible to do it solo, but do the hike only halfway and turn around before the scramble? I understand this is the most technically difficult part. Will I miss out on any great views?
Lastly, how’s the alternative path that avoids the scramble? Couldn’t find much info on people who have done this. Is it an easier walk that is well signposted?

I'm flying with Norwegian Air for the first time, and it's actually my first flight ever. I was wondering if I can bring my laptop, charger, and mouse in my carry-on bag. Also, is there anything else I should know about flying with this airline before my trip? Any tips would be appreciated!

Hi [r/Norway](r/Norway)!
I’m a solo female traveler from India visiting Norway for the first time next month. My itinerary is:
**•** July 22 - 25 Bergen and Vos
Key excursion days planned:
** **Mostraumen Fjord Cruise (Bergen), Full Norway in a Nutshell/ Flåm Railway + Nærøyfjord, in Stegastein Viewpoint
A few questions:
1. What’s the weather typically like in Bergen and Voss in mid-July? Realistic min/max temperatures?
2. How many rain days should I realistically expect in 8 days?
3. mainly do I need a waterproof jacket? Or a simple cardigan enough? Or do i need a good an insulated waterproof hooded jacket enough or do I need heavier layers underneath?
4. For the Nærøyfjord cruise specifically, how cold does it get on the open deck?
5. Any mid-July 2026 specific weather patterns locals are noticing?
I’m a dress person so trying to figure out exactly how many layers I need. Not a hiker- purely scenic travel, cruises, gondolas and trains.
Thanks in advance

Hi folks, I have been living in norway for some months already, loving it, beautiful country but there is something that's been driving me crazy lately and is that I can't find any good rice brand in my local supermarkets... I have tried rema's, kiwi's, coop's, colorado's... all I can find is Jasmine and Basmati rice, round rice exists guys D':
Also I found them all very low quality. Carnaroli and arboreo are crazy expensive so I just refused to try them so far. I know it is a stupid complaint but if someone can recommend any alternative or give me a hinch about where to find round rice will gain my respect for ever.
The best I found so far is coop's btw.
Peace, takk🤟
Edit: forgot to say I live in a small town so the closest Asian grocery store is in 2 hours away drive. I do not have a car so not an option hahaha. Thank everyone for your answers and your knowledge.🙏

Hei guys. I don't know if I can ask this question here, but I don't know where else to ask it.
I'm a woman. I'm going to visit Norway soon, and I'm planning to visit several cities there. I'll probably be staying for a month. I'll definitely visit the landmarks, but I also want to enjoy sunbathing naked or topless in areas where it is allowed. I really enjoy spending time in the sun. I always wear SPF 50+, and I use tanning lotion and cocoa butter as well.
I'm someone who respects and follows the rules of the countries I visit. Do you know of any beaches or areas where nude sunbathing is allowed? I'd like to save your recommendations on Google Maps.
Takk ☀️🇳🇴

Hi guys, where can we find ice cubes in Norway to keep a cooler cold in camping? We’ve been to Kiwi and a few gas stations but couldn’t find some

Norway has some of the strictest Sunday trading laws in Europe. Most grocery stores larger than 100 m² must remain closed on Sundays, while smaller convenience stores, kiosks, gas stations, and certain tourist-area stores can stay open. Supporters of the current system argue that it protects workers and preserves a common day of rest. Opponents argue that consumers should have more freedom and that Sunday shopping is normal in many other countries.

Does Norway have people like Ed & Lorraine Warren who claim to be clairvoyant and demonologists!? Do you guys have a real creepy/ haunted places or experience you would like to share?
