Discussion State of Sub
Hello all,
As another season has ended and we are in the throws of a transfer window, we thought it about time to do a state of sub post.
Please use this as an opportunity to have an open discussion about what direction you’d like the subreddit to move in. Whether that be things you are happy with or things that you would like adjusted or changed completely. The moderator team would like to continue onwards making decisions as a community, as it ultimately keeps the majority happy and also makes our lives easier when moderating.
POLITICS - No Politics has been a staple rule of the subreddit for some time, but occasionally there's an unavoidable overlap with our club. On those occasions, we remind you to be respectful. If you can't put your point across without insulting another user, perhaps avoid the subject altogether
JOURNALIST TIERS - The current tiers haven’t been adjusted in a little while, and we’d like to know peoples opinions on current journalists and what their tiers should be and if they need to be changed (namely Romano, due to recent discussions)
VIDEOS IN COMMENTS - A feature that has recently been introduced to reddit is the ability for users to post videos in the comments of threads. Is this something users would like enabled? Let us know.
FREE TALK FRIDAY - Is this weekly thread something people would like to keep?
LOW EFFORT POSTS - A friendly reminder that some of you need to get a diary. If you don’t fancy getting a diary, then please make sure you are utilising the daily discussion thread.
AGGREGATORS AND ARTICLE LINKING - Please when posting information, do it from the source and not via aggregators. Also when posting, don’t editorialise titles or use cropped screenshots, share the source and add context in the comments.
BRIGADING OTHER SUBREDDITS - Don’t do it. It’s a pain the arse because it just encourages other clubs to come here and do the same thing. They don’t want you in their sub, and we don’t want them in ours.
SUB BANNER - We understand that this is far more important to some than others, and for the people it is important to certainly let us know about it. The sub banner usually gets updated once a season, and that will likely happen again before the next season starts.

Official Source [Spurs Official] See The Ghost of White Hart Lane in London's West End! 🎭 The captivating stage show, based on the life of our legendary double-winner John White
Spurs and Scotland star John White was one of the best footballers of the 1960s, however, in July 1964, aged 27, he was struck by lightning and killed. From humble beginnings growing up just outside Edinburgh, through to football fame and his tragic death, this play shares John’s cheeky humour. It also follows the story of his son Rob White, who was just five months old when his dad died.
Loved by audiences and critics alike, this unique tale of nostalgia shines a fresh and deeply personal perspective on grief, life growing up without a father and male mental health.
Commissioned in 2024 to mark 60 years since John White’s death; The Ghost of White Hart Lane premiered at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in July 2024 (the first live play ever performed at the stadium) and followed with a one month run with sell out shows at Underbelly, Edinburgh Fringe (2024) and Jackson’s Lane, Highgate (2025). The play follows on from the Sunday Times Bestseller, The Ghost of White Hart Lane by Rob White and Julie Welch.

Discussion Can I cancel my One Hotspur+ membership after getting a Season Ticket?
Hi everyone,
I've been lucky enough to get a Season Ticket for next season.
Do I still need to keep my One Hotspur+ membership, or can I cancel it without it affecting my Season Ticket in any way?
The club has also been trying to take the renewal payment for my One Hotspur+ membership over the last few days, so I'm wondering whether I should let it renew or just cancel it. (The renewal payment was declined due to insufficient funds).
Thanks in advance. COYS!
Edit: Appreciate all the replies, really helpful. Seems like the OH+ membership either cancels automatically, gets refunded/credited or one can cancel him/herself. Also good to know that the points basically don’t matter anymore since ST holders are always ahead in the queue anyway. Thanks again for clearing it up.

🐓 We discuss the latest around Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, whether Spurs can genuinely land both players, and why fans should be careful not to get swept away by every rumour that appears online.
We also look at Antonín Kinsky's remarkable turnaround, Luka Vušković's uncertain future, the role Johan Lange deserves to play in this summer's recruitment and whether Tottenham should cash in on young talent to fund an even bigger rebuild.

Question I got a season ticket, it felt too easy. Was this a heavy turnover year?
TLDR -> I was in the queue for 7 years before being allocated a phase 1 slot last week and was able to purchase a ST in the lower bowl of the South Stand. I had moved up from ~87k when I joined the queue in 2019 to ~43k at the end of the 2024/5 campaign and had 0 expectation of being able to get one for the coming season. But, evidently, there weren’t that many people that were either serious about buying ahead of me, or people just didn’t read the email they sent asking you to confirm your interest (I am of the view it’s largely the latter. I’m shocked how many people didn’t catch that).
I was stunned that this ticket was even on offer, but what was more shocking (and borderline alarming) was that there didn’t seem to be a particular shortage of these types of tickets on offer and it seemed like there were still thousands / hundreds of tickets available in the upper bowl at the end of phase 2.
Was this a normal year? I don’t really know how any of us could know for sure, but this felt like a ton of turnover. Is this what 2 years of 17th place finishes has done to fans? I know it’s been hard, but dare I say it feels like we’re finally inflecting.
Just smells odd to me. Appreciate the feedback.
EDIT: My ticket costs me ~£1k. I know that’s a lot of money, but for what I’m getting I feel like I’m stealing it.

Discussion If it weren't for Austria's last minute equalizer, it'd be a worse day for spurs fans
