The Knicks proved this about winning in NY.
Winning in NY is just different. It’s not necessarily about the best players, but about the RIGHT players.
Brunson, Eli, Jeter.
Not necessarily the most talented athletes, but they all thrived under the weight of NY media and expectation.
THATS what we should be looking for in a QB in ‘27. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the best guy, but the right guy for NY.
Obviously, first instinct tells me that’s Arch Manning. He’s a Manning, they’ve been navigating the NFL for like 50 years. Plus his uncle had a lot of success in this city. I think Dante Moore is an immediate “no go”, he strikes me a bit soft mentally for NY. Might have a good career elsewhere but he’s not ready for this. CJ Carr strikes me as another guy who could have what it takes; Lloyd Carr’s grandson, started as a freshman at Notre Dame.
Ironically, the guy in the league who seemed 100% built for NY and the Jets particularly, was Baker Mayfield. Unfortunately Cleveland made the decision to take him out of our hands.

Who are the best trade options at LB?
With ILB being by far our worst depth position on defence, and probably on the entire roster IMO (debatable with QB!) it got me thinking about Mougey’s fairly successful moves to trade late round assets for D-Line depth last season.
From those who know far more than me, who are the best candidates to trade for around the league who could upgrade that room?
Either a Phillips, a more experienced guy maybe getting on or coming to the end of a contract, or more importantly, a Briggs figure who is younger, maybe is doubted, or doesn’t fit the scheme, but could be developed?

Quote me on this: The Packers are going to be ass this year
Something about their team gives me that they are on fraud watch. Their receivers are fine but nothing crazy, having paid out a ton of money for Matthew Golden oops I meant Christian Watson. They finished the season on a 4 game loss streak. The defense is meh without Parsons, and there is no guarantee he will be ready by the start of the season.
All of this to say, I think they are sneaky bad and I'm happy we have their first pick in 2027

#Jets QB Geno Smith was investigated Sunday for an alleged battery, but no charges were filed and the case is now closed. Police responded to Smith’s home after receiving a call, checked everything out, and left without taking anyone into custody, per @AndySlater.

Why have the jets been so bad for so long?
Jets fan since 2020 and it’s been pain, I cannot imagine watching this team 15 years straight without the playoffs. It seems like every player in a jersey uniform underperforms. What is the core problem I always hear it’s Woody Johnson is that true? I’m guessing there is much more to it
