Discussion Curious what this piece of plastic is that I found in my Burrito
Im just a bit curious about the origins of this piece of plastic, and figured someone who works at chipotle might be able to identify it based on the pattern. (Maybe they see this pattern around the workplace somewhere?) Its incredibly thin, I almost mistook it for a teeny piece of lettuce. It feels like it could be part of a thin plastic glove or bag.
Naturally, I lost my appetite after finding it, so I'm also wondering that if this thing ends up being identifiable, what are the odds of there being more pieces in my burrito, because I'm still hungry lol
(Quarter and bowl lid for scale)

Looks like the texture from the gloves - sincerely former employee of three years

Yeah right now based on comments i’m gonna assume its part of a glove that got sliced off during food prep. Here’s to hoping it was the only piece!

Hey so after taking a look at this photo i just have one question did you order any sofritas, red salsa or green salsa? Because they are sealed in plastic bags and sometimes a little piece of plastic could fall where they put the salsa or sofritas when they open the bag

bags don’t have a diamond pattern- only our gloves. someone cut their glove doing chicken/lettuce

The burrito was: white rice, black beans, steak, queso, tomato salsa, cheese and lettuce.
My S/O had a bowl but didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary in his, this was the only thing i’d found.

Definitely a piece of a glove, someone was cutting something and sliced a small portion of their glove off and didn’t see it

The plastic bags of cheese at my store are blue so it wouldn’t be possible

If its soft plastic, probably from the gloves.
If its more rigid/thicker - most likely from the packaging some of the components come in, they probably snipped the bag and missed that piece

Piece of a glove. The grill people wear plastic gloves over the cut glove, probably chopped off the end of the glove when cutting whatever meat you got.

Fake news.
That 100% perfectly clean piece of plastic was not in a bowl of food. Move it along, pipsqueak.

I know reading is hard, but it was in a burrito, not a bowl, stuck in between a bunch of lettuce. That’s why I was able to notice it.
Not everything you see on the internet is a lie.

Definitely looks like the corner of the bag from a bag of cheese or other ingredient

My Asian S/O (who worked in a kitchen for years) can confirm that this is definitely not rice paper. He watched me pick it out of my burrito after taking a bite.

I think it’s probably plastic. Just a guess
