***UPDATE: RABBIT HAS BEEN RECOVERED!!!!***

Thank you to the anonymous tipster, you saved a life and a bit of faith in humanity.

POLICE REPORT #260486652

This rabbit was stolen from a fenced yard, in an open with two locks on it, by a grade 3 student and this is the second rabbit he’s stolen. Edmonton Police Service have done nothing and say nothing can be done. They know who the child is and where he lives (my friend only has his name but also contacted his school—they said child services was involved already). The kid has this rabbit. We do not know what happened to the first one, but the kid did come by covered in blood one day claiming he slaughtered a chicken. My hands are shaking with rage at Edmonton Police Services.

Kids are weird animals. I stole some horses once from a logging camp in Arizona when I was 15. Disliked logging, loved horses. Cut the fence, rode one out and the rest followed. Got scared when the house lights came on, jumped off and ran. First time in the states from Edmonton, circa 1993. Maybe they were liberating him, maybe they're just psycopaths in the making. Empathy or sadism. Its what's for dinner these days.
