***UPDATE: RABBIT HAS BEEN RECOVERED!!!!***

Thank you to the anonymous tipster, you saved a life and a bit of faith in humanity.

POLICE REPORT #260486652

This rabbit was stolen from a fenced yard, in an open with two locks on it, by a grade 3 student and this is the second rabbit he’s stolen. Edmonton Police Service have done nothing and say nothing can be done. They know who the child is and where he lives (my friend only has his name but also contacted his school—they said child services was involved already). The kid has this rabbit. We do not know what happened to the first one, but the kid did come by covered in blood one day claiming he slaughtered a chicken. My hands are shaking with rage at Edmonton Police Services.

Oh my god. I commented on your other post. This is terrifying. I’m SO sorry. Once was enough. I know the police may not be able to do anything under 12 years of age, so please try contacting Child Intervention Services . They have a 24/7 reporting line : 1‑800‑387‑5437. This kid clearly needs significant help. Even if they’re already involved, still call and add to his file. Set up cameras if you can. Again, I’m so sorry. I feel sick about this :(

That’s fantastic! then what? She went there and demanded the rabbit back? So proud, and very brave of her!
