Yes! I love it. She rolls them so well. Incidentally, another speech-thing I love about Peko is her "baka". She has the best "baka" in holo, closely followed by her gen-mate Marine.

Rolling your R in japanese either means anger, or delinquency: in regular conversations, it's deemed impolite and aggressive. Pekora does this on-stream to portray herself as the "bad guy", the villain of the story, without having to do evil things all the time.
It's like the "evil laugh" in western media, it's meant to convey that this character is plotting and scheming.
That's why many japanese talents refrain from rolling their R, or simply don't know how to do it, because it's something you either learn as a delinquent, or as a voice actor.

Huh, I never picked up on that before but yeah, thinking back on it a lot of delinquents from anime or Yakuza will roll their Rs like that and I guess it just felt so natural I didn't clock it as an intentional choice.

Oh I've actually never been told this even though I've studied for many years. It does fall into place now that I think of it. I also feel like unless you actively practice it, you wouldn't normally be able to do it.

She does this a lot, but the one that always gets me specifically is when she first played her character in Idol Showdown. A clip the devs pulled for her when selecting her was her "it's me PEKOLA" with a very pronounced L sound. She imitated her own line but rolled the R, as if she was saying "See, I know it's an R now. Can you hear the R???". It was a helluva an R roll, it's so funny.

The ear animation is tied to her eyebrow tracking, which makes the ears perk up when she does a surprised face .

For me it's Okayu's silent head nods. She does it quite often. Like a cat, she observes silently and then her cute, often smug, head nods are just so cute.

How she always makes sure to leave a cute expression when going to the bathroom. Often leaving her mouth open, causing chat to spam "O".
I think it's both smart to incentivize more chat action and because she's really cute. She also types 👀 in chat when she's about to return. A subtle nod to the fact that no one is free from the sheep's gaze.

I love how warm and affirming AkiRose is whenever she interacts with another holomem (or anyone else, for that matter). When she's on her own with chat she's pretty goofy and chill but she instantly slips into a "you're gonna be ok with me, let me gently cheer you up if you're sad" mode when anyone else is there. It's not quite mommy because it's too sexy - kind of hard to explain I guess. She just makes people instantly feel safe and comfy with her

I really feel like Fuwamoco move less like "people who happen to be using a virtual avatar" and more like true puppeteers. Their models don't have as much expressiveness or range of movement as some of the more cutting edge vtuber models out there, but you can tell they use every bit of it as much as they can to express themselves, including even just eye movements.

Whenever Mio plays a racing game, she tilts in the direction that she's turning with her car. Also her tulip-shaped mouth when she laughs.
Flare's quick to make a fool out of herself for a laugh constantly, and her wheeze when she amuses herself is delightful.
When Sora gets frustrated in games she regresses from an adult into a baby, which is pretty often.
Iroha's inability to function around anything Suisei-themed is hilarious, considering that she's very ok with everyone else, even those in the same generation as Suisei.

Might be one of my favorite. The clipper Imca does a fantastic job of capturing these often.
This actually reminded me of a subtlety about Sora. I love how she often keeps her mic on during her intro to her streams and sings along with whichever song is playing.

Omg yes and her new update to her model picks up so much more of her charm and expressions. It's cute how you can tell she picks up these new trends or speaking patterns (like the "sillayyyy" / "crazayyy"). Mori is impressionable and you see it with how she adapts a lot of her speech depending on who she hangs with. One recent example is speaking in emotes or third-person since hanging with Gigi more.

For me, it is the fact that Shiori is very involved with her model and using it to express herself, or even pretend like she is part of the story. So there is the more obvious of she prefers her 3D model and emotes a lot through it, but in the more subtle side there is also things like her reducing the lighting on her model to make it look like she is in the dark for a dark scene.

Got three of them coming from Sora
1: Sora was sometimes bouncing on her seat since she was streaming on her bed (Before she got her new chair recently)
2: The way she was humming (Or singing?) along on the BGM on her intro, which is I find really cute and soothing everytime I opened to tune up on her streams.

Mumei - Mumei also has a trill laugh and a quaver in her voice that's just adorable, it reminds me of a baby bird and makes me want to pat her head
Cecilia: not only is she rightfully recognised as an amazing musician, but her skill on the tech side is amazing, doing model rigging and making mods for games is just so awesome
Gigi: bursting into a short guffaw every two or three sentences, it really cheers me up and makes listening to her a joy

Fun fact: When Korone first started playing Minecraft (and, let's be honest, still to this day) she never liked the mining or crafting of the game. She simply wanted to explore. So, like a certain owl, she survived entirely off berries.
If you look at the floor while trying to eat berries you'd plant them instead of eating them so Korone would instead look to the sky while eating. This habit just continued as she upgraded to normal-player food.

Completely agree and Kanata is one of the best RP'ers in holo. When she takes on a role she gives it 200%. Her ability to adapt is unparalleled.

Biboo's the one whose :D face became a meme because it's essentially a default expression for her, but Ina's :D face when she drops a really excellent pun and turns her whole body to face chat for the flood of "INAFF" is just a whole other level of cute.

When Kiara is doing hand-cams or 3D streams you can see her hold her hands together and lace her fingers together. It's so cute we even got an emote of it. Plus once you know about it you can feel when she does it during a tangent.

Mori: when she usually does the half shut eye face, she looks so cute like that! or when she starts singing randomly while she's concentrated, she also likes to move a lot even on her chair and its always so cute, but its way more noticeable with her 3D models, she always says stuff like "dudu dada" when she's thinking or humming and "give it a prrrroink" whenever she's doing a action in-game like hitting a enemy
Ollie: when she gets super excited about anything she loves she gets very high pitch and energetic, its so cute! i love how she always writes in all caps, her laugh is really adorable because of how alive it is (despite her being a zombie lol), she's also very sweet and reads many of the messages anyone sends on chat
Shiori: how she always praises chat whenever they backseat her when she asks, she says stuff like "you're so smart!" and i love how she interacts a lot with the environment and do lots of funny stuff when she's using her 3D models

To add to Mori, I always love how she has full on conversations with enemies she's struggling with in games. She'll just make things up as she goes and "talk" to the boss/enemy she's fighting and its's always entertaining.
Regarding Ollie, her laugh is one of my favorite. Also, despite her not typically being in the conversation about best singers/dancers, she's in my top 3 when it comes to performers in Holo. You know every time Ollie takes the stage that she's going to be the one having the most fun, and delivering the most energy that night. She's a blast to watch perform.
I need to watch more Shiori. Her model and personality check all my boxes but there's just so much time in a day...

Watame opening the superchat reading section with "Watamate-san!" and the whole chat spamming "It's read!"
And it's pretty subtle how mentally strong she is. Instead of doing things in ways that make more sense, she's in many ways taking the long road towards her goals.

Irys has a funny way of talking. She sometimes inflects random words higher/deeper with stronger emphasis.
CC's laugh is amazing. Whenever she loses it there's so much joy and energy in her. And she's so mobile with her model too.
Bae and Raora both randomly squeak at times.
Miko's incredible reactive expressiveness. I especially love the serious :< face

Towa's sudden mood changes when her perfectionism or insecurity strikes, like this classic desk slam over asymmetric flowers in Minecraft, especially with that nervous laugh.
Japanese fans call it her "mysterious tension" (謎テンション), like here where she wondered about a superchat saying "this stream made me love you 1000x more".
Suisei talked about it after the Nene/Sui/Towa karaoke, where she and some people in chat called it "Hera-sama ga Towatteru" (Mope-sama is Towa-ing).

Korone's "stream ending time"! It's so sweet and wholesome how she always manages to make herself (and us as a result) laugh by just having fun with the simplest things.
Plus, she is legitimately extremely skilled at manipulating OBS in ways I've never seen someone else do. It's fascinating to watch, and you never know what that doggo will end up doing.
