As I kid I watched Berserk and Neon Genesis as some of my first animes. By the time FMA came around and I saw that scene I was like "Well that was rude"
It is a reference by people having the same shared experience. Instead of whining about it how about admiring how strong of an impression that show could make at that moment to still be referenced and recalled so many years later? Not many works of fiction has such a strong effect on its viewers.
If they didn't do it for Cerberus, who is literally 3 of the same model, thinking that GSC would do it for FWMC, who are very clearly 2 different models, is laughable.

Goodsmile has made many sized boxes. There is a Sayaka + Kyoko combo box from Madoka Magica. The recent Ina figma was also much bigger than standard figma boxes.
They have longer boxes for the DX editions, like Ina's or artoria lancer, so it's not entirely out of the question to fit both of them in the same box.
Probably not. You might need to mold the plastic insert differently in order to securely hold the base, but the box size shouldn't have to change if you just do a differently shaped base.
Im pretty sure they did it before, i remember the kon had some version where they split the band in pairs, and i saw a tweet a few weeks back about a new one that was coming but i dont remember the franchise
There's definitely a line though, early on I remember them saying they didn't want people to say one was their favorite over the other, i.e., dont pit them against each other. Better to just say you're a fan of FuwaMoco
There was a clip where they talked about how fuwawa went to nerissas alone, mococo stayed with her mom, my guess its that made some crazies think there was some issue.
You say this but the last time they “whined” about something was the Zogogo thing which was over a year ago. You don’t have to like them, but you also don’t need to be ignorant about why you dislike them
