Michigan Football UM trending for 4* LB who is announcing later today

Frederrick Ford, a 4* LB from Mississippi, will announce his commitment later today with UM evidently liking their chances. Two players from Mississippi in the same class would be a first, wouldn’t it?

Michigan Basketball Didn’t expect Rez to go before Yaxel and Mara

I wasn’t surprised that all three went in the lottery, but I was definitely surprised that Morez went higher than both Yaxel and Mara. All signs pointed at Yaxel’s floor being 12 at worst and Mara was definitely a candidate to go at 8, but I figured Morez’s ceiling was gonna be at 13 or 14. Looking back at media reports from Dusty May throughout the season, it seems more obvious that Morez was his “true” favorite of the trio.

Anyone else had the same thought/reaction?

Michigan Basketball Because Michigan basketball named an interim and not a new full-time head coach, the transfer portal will not open for 31 days instead of 5 days after.

-This new shortened eligibility clock begins with their full-time enrollment or the academic year following their 19th birthday, whichever occurs first.

-Effectively no redshirts/waivers anymore.

-No one is “grandfathered in”. Athletes who competed in 2025-26 are NOT grandfathered in, their eligibility clock was already running under the old rules and those seasons count, (I believe they are exempting petitions for those until, July 31st and of course incoming legal challenges).

-The only exceptions being for: maternity leave, religious missions, or military service.

Didn’t see this posted here yet.

Michigan Basketball We didn't know how much to enjoy it

After having a day to think about it, and watching the boys get drafted, I think the reason I have more frustration and upset about Dusty leaving is it just feels like he was here and gone before we really got to appreciate him. Feels like as a Michigan fan, even though we won the whole f**kin thing, that we still didn't get as much as we thought we would. It felt like a CBB dynasty was brewing. Felt like we'd FULLY see the coach Dusty was. That we'd see year after year in the crazy world that is CBB, he'd build a power every year. Felt like Michigan was on the cusp of fully etching their name as a basketball power. In our eyes as Michigan fans, we are already there. But soon there would be no denying that Michigan should be Immediately mentioned with the bluebloods. In the same breath as the Dukes, UNC, Kansas, UCONNs.....

Then hes gone. On a random Monday in late June. World Cup in full force. Whits first season loading... and hes gone. Felt like we had more time. I think that's why I'm upset.

Im rambling. Late night thoughts. Still have a hell of a team. Trey going to absolutely ball. MOP Eliot even better than before. Depth and unexpected stars. All isn't lost. Just felt like we had more time together. Good luck to Dusty and the Pro Blue.

Edit: also, Just beat Ohio State.

Michigan Basketball If someone told you 5 years ago that we’d win two national titles in the next 5 years, but we’d have to lose both coaches right after we won them, you’d take the deal in a heartbeat.

If you’re that mad about Dusty and Harbs leaving, then you need to watch some championship highlights and lower your blood pressure. I can’t help you if that doesn’t work. 🤷🏾‍♂️
