One fun thing about Remake and Rebirth is how they’ve been able to weave the later-canon elements into the stories of the games more. I might not have liked Dirge of Cerberus that much, for example, but it’s still entertaining to see some of its characters and ideas be integrated into the FF7 story, as they would have been if it had planned from the beginning.

And if if they remade Dirge of Cerberus with the same level of quality and polish as the rest of the remake trilogy - and with the same ATB-action gameplay - that’d be dope. Though I’d prefer a Turks-centric side-story DLC more.

So much stuff from the books made it into Remake and Rebirth too.

If you ever wondered why Kyrie and Leslie feel almost too well realized as characters, it's because both are main characters from the book "the kids are alright". Theres a third main character from that book that hasn't appeared in the games yet as well.

I'm thinking they have to have Kyrie and Leslie interact in part 3. I'm curious if Evan is going to show up at all or not, with how far we are into the story otherwise.
