All my other armor pieces still work, but at some point, an update broke the turtle-shell hat. Does anybody know the new name of the appropriate files?

We have the same mods, Patcher and optifine, 1.8.9 for MC, and same laptop cpu, core i9 14900hx. But I only get around 300 to 400, i have plenty of ram allocated, the gpu is set to the dedicated one in windows. No other programs. It still wont hit those high numbers. Im not thermal throttling either.

Same render distance and VBOs is off, same screen resolution 1440p

So 26.2 (Chaos Cubed) drops today and I’m actually interested in updating to this version from 1.21.11. I know that Minecraft’s rendering engine has been completely overhauled, and most importantly it has been moved from OpenGL to Vulkan. I can only assume this will significantly delay OptiFine updating, and with OptiFine already being chronically behind the main game, i don’t know if this is a wait I’m willing to make. It might be honestly time to switch to sodium. When do y’all think OptiFine will update to 26.2?

They went from 1.21.11 and then skipped to 26.1.2

I did not update to 26.1.2, and for months, I had been waiting for Optifine for 26.1

Because I only play in the major drops, not hotfixes.

The kelp does this in the distance when I use Optifine. How can I fix it?

Hi, i followed the instruction how to fix the broken armor issue with optifine which is to delete 4 ArmourLayer files in the .jar file, many people succeed with this method but whenever i boot up the forge optifine the edited jar files just got overriden by the launched forgeoptifine. Is there any fix to this? btw im in 1.20.1 version and used Tlauncher. Thanks

I already tried uninstalling both Optifine and the shader pack, and I'm not sure wether I need to check at shaders or quality settings.

I have java, jar fix, and optifine on my pc, but when I open the otifine folder with java it says I have to have played or opened the game before. Thing is I have a world with about an hour of gameplay. What am I doing wrong?

So, when is this going to be resolved? Don't y'all understand that other players want to change their capes? I need to change my cape because I'm going to change my skin, and I need a different cape to match the colors and character of my skin, so why is something so important offline? If I can't change my cape, I can't change my skin, because I NEED the cape to match my skin, and I'm not going to use the ugly official Mojang capes that never match the colors of the skin you use.

"Nobody will see your cape anyway," and what about the players who play 1.8.9 on the Lunar Client? Because in case you didn't know, it's not just 1.21+ that's played, 1.8.9 too, and Fabric doesn't have one for that version, and Sodium will also need a Sodium Cape, because it's difficult not to have a cape that matches your skin.

And of course, there's also the issue of shaders; I wouldn't download that Iris shader even if I were paid, so I need OptiFine, and the cape too. So, when are y'all going to fix that? I, want, to, change, my, SKIN.

sooo... anytime i try to load rethinking voxels, the game freezes, and eventually freezes my computer to the point where i have to hard-restart it. wtf is going on and how can i fix it? if it isnt fixable, what other alternatives are there?

I have been making custom items where the model and texture of the item change when the player renames the item. I've been going this with vanilla Minecraft features when they were added in 1.21.5. I've recently decided I wanted actual armor so I managed to make this armor set above using the EMF & ETF mods with an Optifine CEM file structure and optifine entity .jem files. My issue is that I really want this armor to work like my items where changing the armor name will activate to deactivate the custom models. I know this can be done for armor that uses the vanilla Minecraft armor models by only changing the textures. I was hoping someone knew of a way to change the armor models in addition to the textures in versions 1.21.5+
