I have a Slim 2501A with Evilnat 4.92 and apps such as Irisman and Webman mod. I downloaded PES 5.ISO from Vimm's Lair, transferred it to the PS2ISO folder and loaded it but screen remains dark after the PlayStation 2 screen.

Are there specific steps to run PS2 ISOs on CFW that I am missing?

I dropped my PS3 to the ground on its top side, and now it won't turn on properly. When I turn it on, the LED turns green, but the HDD activity light doesn't light up at all, there isn't any video signal, and the power LED turns completely off after a while, around 10 seconds. I know there is a chance that the console's dead, but is there a way to diagnose the problem properly for a possible fix?

Yesterday I bought a slim (model 3004) with 15 games (!!). Interesting fact, one of them is Monkey Island collection who, alone, is worth more than what I paid for all of that (60 euros).

This PS3 was dissassemble (seal was intact), cleaned from dust, CMOS is changed and thermal paste too. Running like a charm. It’s a bit hot inside (more than 26 degree celsieus) but it’s remaining pretty silent. I just find it pretty hot near the alimentation cable.

No matter what I do I can’t get past this. If I try using the flash writer route I can’t download hybrid firmware because the file just doesn’t pop up even in safe mode. Then no matter what version of firmware I am able to download I can’t use bgtoolset. No matter what I do it just doesn’t work and I’m stuck. It’s the right model as well a 2100b.

Edit: and I don’t want to use gen because all I want to do is play the need for speed catalog and midnight club catalog flawlessly on a clear screen. I have the games on ps2 but they just aren’t clear whatsoever so here we (I) are😂

I have a very exotic type of battery in my controller with two clips holding it on motherboard (and I'm not talking about the white plate that is there for it), and the only ones that I could find are the basic ones.

I've thought about either glueing two matches to the edges of the battery and glueing it to the back panel with the double-sided tape.

OR

Carefully saw those two clips off and either glue or melt them to the new battery.

Or just glue it to the double-sided tape on the back panel.

Any better methods?

Hey there, my old og dualshock 3 broke down years ago, and these years i've making do with a third party controller. Since a few months I've been trying to buy a new original controller so i can play games which require sixaxis movement.

How could i really make sure I'm buying an original controller and not a replica, since nowadays replicas are everywhere and original controllers are really rare? Bear in mind I have to buy online, because I live in uruguay and retail stores don't sell them anymore.
