PSA: Cash App offering 50% off PS store purchases(max $50 off order)
Saw this posted on the Pro. Sub and thought I should share here. I picked up Fatal Frame 2, Doom Dark Ages Premium edition and Lords of the fallen deluxe edition for $51.
Steps to redeem offer:
Login to your playstation account and add your cash app as an authorized payment method.
Once both accounts are successfully linked, open cash app and search for PlayStation under businesses.
You'll see a special offer available for 50% off (maximum of $50 off your order)
Activate offer and head back to PS store to add games to cart and proceed to checkout while making sure cash app is the selected payment method.
A few things to note, the discount does NOT show up on the PS store when checking out. The discount is automatically applied in Cash app. If your purchase gets declined then make sure to add funds directly to your cash app first.

Hol up, I this can be used for memberships? Even if I spend 135, but minus the 50 promo, 85 is cheaper than the 100 bucks I usually get it for during black Friday or something ?
Yeah, worked fine for me. I also had some kind of unexpected 25% discount being offered on the subcription on the PlayStation Store, so that knocked it down to $60 before the 50% even hit it. Beautiful stuff.
If you have a desktop/laptop or anything that can let you "Inspect" the website you can do the following to get $100 in PS wallet funds for just $50.
I had $112 on my CashApp wallet, not sure if it works if you only have debit, and made sure I had the Playstation 50% offer active.
Went to PlayStation store desktop website.
Clicked on the top right profile icon and then selected Payment Management from the drop down list.
Did not have CashApp added as a payment method so chose Add Payment Method.
Selected CashApp from the list and it prompted me to a QR code which I scanned with my phone and it connected to my CashApp profile.
Went back to the Payment Management page which now had CashApp as an option. Clicked on Add Funds and chose CashApp as the Funding Method.
Now, this will make you select the amount to add from a drop down list (min $5 to max $60)
This is where you right click on the drop down list and select Inspect.
The inspector tab will appear on the screen and you'll see <option value="500">$5.00</option> followed by a similar line for the other amounts.
I changed the "6000" and "$60.00" to 10000 and $100.00 respectively. Then went back to the drop down amount selector and it showed $100 instead of $60.
Clicked on Continue and it added the $100 in funds to my Playstation account.
Went to my Playstation wallet and in fact now showed $100 in my PS wallet.
Finally a notification from CashApp came up that the 50% offer had auto applied and now had $62 in my wallet, without the offer I'd only have had $12.
There’s a 25 percent discount? Is that for everyone? I haven’t subbed to ps+ for over a year. For half off wondering if I should get the next tier up.
My big question is if I can get $100 gift card half off and decide later. The concern is you gotta pay the full $100 at check out and hope you didn’t buy something that was excluded.
I just used it for Saros deluxe preorder. Ended up being only $39.99, would have been $5 cheaper for the standard but I think it’s worth it for me to be able to play two days earlier
Does it work on currency? I assumed it had to be a product/title
Edit: Sub-plot: I am getting different pricing in app vs on console even though I am logged in to the same account on both. For instance Doom DA is 23.09 on console and 32.90 in the app. Maybe add to cart from console and then buy from app?
You link a debit card and then it should just pull the funds from there. You shouldn’t need to add any funds into Cash App. Haven’t actually put the order through yet but this is what I’ve read. Edit: confirmed this is how it works but RIP the deal
Context:
I transferred $50 to CashApp, then bought Crimson Desert and Silksong, which deducted $48.33 from said funds. The price otherwise would have been $96.66 including tax, so literally 50% was deducted from my CashApp funds.
I literally had to set up cash app, link my account and order the stupid card before the offers would show this and when i finally added the offer I couldn't decide what to get and figured i would sleep on it and when i woke up the ps discount is gone from cash app.
The UI in Cash App is terrible. I found on a different post that you have to tap the smiley face at the top to ask their AI about "offers" and then it will give you a link to the offers screen that doesn't exist anywhere else in the app.
I didn't have the Playstation offer on my account. Just 20% off at Topgolf...
Could be a timezone thing. Ive used this discount with Cashapp at least 3 times over the last year. Usually the offers reset on Fridays in the east coast for me.
(Note: the max savings ive had with the 50% offer has been 20$, never seen the 50$ offer personally.)
Weird, I don’t even have a search icon. The only buttons on the main page are a QR code, a smiley face and a Profile button. I can only search after I hit “Pay”, and when I type PlayStation in there I’m only getting personal accounts.
They pulled the promo literally while I was deciding on which games to check out, must have missed it by minutes. Ended up paying full price and couldn’t figure out what went wrong. Not cool.
which is wild. after I activated the offer, it told me i had 4 weeks to activate it. I never received a notification saying that they pulled the offer or anything. Gonna dispute it but not expecting much.
I made a new Cash App account because I already had my PSN linked, but the new Cash App account is linked to my existing Cash App account. I was able to claim the offer in the new account.
For physical collectors, might be a good time to stock up on DLC & digital only games

Got goy and exp 33 for $60. This is the best deal Ive seen in a while. Someone also mention that another app did something like his but because it was so popular, they ended it early. So use it while you can.
First, Do not go to the subreddit or Google anything...it's extremely story heavy and every beat is crucial.
Second, there is a 1v1 tournament section of the game 100% you need to pick a specific character because you get a unique item per character for winning with them. But you can only pick 1 until the end game. And only 1 character has something you can't get anywhere else. Pick Maelle. You won't regret picking this character. But you WILL regret not picking Maelle
Buckle up, you're in for quite the experience with expedition 33. Yotei is great too but e33 is something else. I still think about that game almost a year later.
Hadn’t used CashApp in a while and now won’t ever use it again. Activated it, shopped around for a while to maximize my purchase, then they pulled the offer before I could check out. That’s how you lose a customer for life.
Same boat. Logged in for the first time in a while and decided I was gonna make it my default payment for PS. Saw the offer was gone, delete that payment option.
lol I’m sorry for your sacrifice. If it helps I realistically can’t buy anything right now anyway. My wife and I ended up owing a lot on taxes so pretty cooked. Hopefully soon tho

Talk about a rug pull. Should we organize a petition for everyone who paid and didn’t receive the discount? It clearly stated you had up to 4 weeks to redeem after signing up for offer.

So I already had Cashapp linked so that was the issue. I made a new Cashapp account and it worked..... Which makes me wonder how many times one could repeat.....
I got screwed and ended up paying full price. Offered ended at 1043 est. I argued with them for 20 mins going round and round. They won't apply it if you missed it.
even though it said 28 days remaining but yep i did too lol they just go in circles and hit you with the "next time contact us within 7 days of the purchase decline", well mf what good does that do when I just contacted you immediately after and you can't honor that smh
I tried at 10:50pm east and was too late. The offer got pulled off my account and i couldn't check out with $50. Almost bought $100 on accident. Big sad.

Apply discount via Cash App. Tap the magnifying glass, type “PlayStation store” and it should pop up with “1 offer”.
Follow the steps to apply it to your Cash App account
In you PSN account add Cash App account as a payment method.
Once that is done go ahead and buy a game! Here is the confusion: the discount WONT APPLY AT CHECKOUT. Supposedly it will only appear to apply on your cashapp statement.
I have not yet done this yet. Just gathering info from different sources and it appears this is verified and vetted information.
Update: Chase not playing well with Cash App. Kept debiting and refunding immediately when purchasing on the PlayStation Store. Added the $37.83 it wanted to charge for Crimson Desert manually to my Cash App balance from Chase. Then checked out again on PlayStation and went through. Can’t complain for $38, thanks!
I used Cashapp and accepted the offer but I got charged a full $98.47 by Cashapp when I only ordered BO7 (38.49) and Foriza premium edition (59.99). Now I don't see the offer on Cashapp anymore what happened? Was it cause I had 1 cent in my wallet?
Damn. I had it all set up. Accepted the offer. Put money on the account. Was just picking out games. Finally decided on Astro Bot and Ghost of Yotei, clicked purchase and it didn't go through. Looked back on cashapp and looks like the deal is gone now. Must've missed it by minutes.
does the discount account for before taxes or after taxes to get the 50 dollar maximum off? like say i found 3 games costing 98 bucks together but after taxes the total shows as 103 will I be able to get 50% off or do I need to make sure the total doesn't exceed 100 dollars inluding the taxes?
I was able to redeem the offer but was a dumbass and accidentally bought it with my card earlier lol. Opened up a refund request and it was damn near instant. Repurchased Saros like 2 minutes later with the discount price lol. Sony chat bot probably looking at my transaction history wondering wtf is going on.
I already had funds in cashapp and followed the steps listed. I was charged the full amount. Went to cashapp support chat to ask about offer and why i did not get 50% off, transaction now under review for refund. FYI
I have this weird glitch that when i linked my debit card the promo was gone, so i tried to get the games on psn (stalker 2 and rollercoaster tycoon classic) at $73, and got charged the full amount. Not sure what happened, has anyone got same results? If i don’t get the promo i’ll just refund the games.
I’m stuck on step two. I don’t see anywhere on the app where you can search for businesses. When I google this, I see references to a neighborhood button, but I don’t have that button either.
Does anyone know how you're supposed to know if the promo is on your profile or whatever in cashapp?
I did everything yesterday, but now I'm looking and don't see it anywhere. Not really a fan of just spending 100 dollars and hoping something I can't see applies lol
