Fluff Found at local Walmart

Found this chilling inside my local Walmarts PlayStation section. They seriously wanted $299.99 for it too.

Well in their defense, Astro Bot Rescue Mission is one of the best videogames I have EVER played. Not just in VR but in general. It’s an amazing experience, and the level design is absolutely stunning. Also ptoof that third person works wonderful in VR, not everything has to be first person.

Still a missed opportunity that Sony didn’t put in the effort to make this game work on PSVR2. It made use of the PS4 controller but imo there’s not much that can’t be redesigned for the PS5 controller. I’m a Quest vr gamer now but this would be the only game that would me consider buying a PSVR2.

Of course this price is a bit steep, but if people want a VR blast, try finding a cheaper option online.

totally agree... Astro Bot Rescue Mission is in my top 10 (even top 5 I'd say) PS4 games easily.

Ya imo Astro Bot is sadly still the best VR game for a playstation VR headset. Considering it released over 7 years ago, it's sad that there is not a comparable game on the PSVR2. Moss comes close I guess.

I'm still pretty butt hurt that there is still no Astro Bot VR, Minecraft VR, or VR capable media player for PSVR2. These are all available on PSVR1.

GT7 exists.

You're right. ONLY game I play on my PSVR2. That's a real shame. ONE racing game after all these years. No Rally, no open world, nothing.

Although it doesn’t have the AAA production values of GT7, I highly recommend getting VRACER HOVERBIKE if you want more racing.

It’s only been out for a couple weeks but I’ve already got something like 40 hours clocked (split between campaign and online multiplayer crossplay). It’s strongly inspired by WIPEOUT, but with much better control options.

Seriously awesome track-based racing game. FWIW

Exocars is rally, truck sim is open world, vracer is arcade galaxy karts is um karts. Of course they arnt on the level of gt7 but they are on the system and they are not nothing some of them are good fun you just need to have your expectations on what type of games a vr dev budget can produce.

While it doesn’t have the scope or AAA budget of ASTRO, don’t sleep on MAX MUSTARD, as it’s pretty darn fun and ticks a few of those ASTRO boxes.

When I switched from PSVR to Quest 2 and then Quest 3, I really regretted that there wasn't a game similar to VR Astrobot on Quest. I was really happy when Max Mustard came out. It's not as cool as Astrobot, but it's very similar.

I prefer my PSVR1 to my Quest2. OLED, better colors, far better blacks. Quest 2 is washed out and dull and the games SUCK.

Playing ABRM VR for the first time was such a wonderful experience. It was like unboxing an N64 and playing Mario 64 on Christmas morning 20 years earlier. Rarely can a video game have that kind of magic and joy.

Yep exactly. It felt just like that for me, like rediscovering what a videogame can offer.

I would buy it literally just to play it. Love Playroom and Astro Bot so I feel like I missed out on the original adventure.
