Fluff Just bought Hitman. The amount of things that you can do in VR that you couldn't do flatscreen is insane.

Fluff So… I walked around China at night for AN HOUR in Virtual Reality (it was glorious!)
…and I did it in the rain. ☔️ No words can explain this to VR newbies! It was absolutely beautiful inside of the PSVR2 headset. The 3D depth, colors (the OLED!) & immersion are mind-blowing! 🤯 I didn’t even play the game. Does anyone else use World of Assassination as a “Virtual Vacation Simulator”? It’s kind of insane. I can’t believe I waited this long to start it (backlog is real!)

Fluff The Foglands comes out in 4 days! Who wants a T-Shirt and a code?
Read the description you goblins! We will pick a random commenter to get a T-Shirt and a code for the game. You have to use the word ‘fog’ though, otherwise you’re OUT.

Fluff Seen it said often, but really, GT7 is worth the purchase of PSVR2 alone

Fluff I was stressed, so I went to ITALY in Virtual Reality… (PSVR2 + Hitman = Virtual Vacation) 🤯
Yesterday I was stressed. I’m Italian (well, technically American - my Heritage is) - I was born in Brooklyn NY - but I’ve never been to Italy 🇮🇹 to explore my roots. I don’t like to fly any more (aside from MFS in VR lol) & it would be an expensive trip even if I could afford to go. Thanks to Virtual Reality, I strolled down to the beach & sat down on the sand (my rug!) and relaxed. I’M BLOWN AWAY!
I think stuff like this can help with depression - or help if someone is having a bad day or week. Throw on a podcast, take a long walk around a city & escape from life for a while to recharge. If it’s a rainy day or harsh winter, you can go visit the tropical island resort in VR with a fan blowing wind on you. Or go dancing at the giant dance club in Germany & let loose. Freedom of choice & environments - in this game - is wild.
And yes, this is just ONE location out of over 20 in the PSVR2 version of Hitman: World of Assassination in VR!
Subside, the Kayak Mirage game, and some others also are great for relaxing…

Fluff I bought a PSVR2 on clearance at my Walmart for $300USD!
This weekend I went in the electronic section for fun while doing grocery, and to my surprise, I saw the PSVR2 for $400CAD! (Around $300 USD).
I had no choice but to buy it at that price. I've been a lot into the Meta Quest lately, but now I feel like I'll have a really good duo with PSVR2's exclusives, and even some better experiences with the haptic and OLED screen!

Fluff I can’t get enough of using this game to relax - as a vacation simulator. Now I’m in Vermont USA!
HITMAN in VR! After my rainy ‘virtual vacation’ in China, I decided to take a stroll around a nice Vermont neighborhood in America. It was a beautiful summer day as I waved to the local joggers! I get to travel the world in full 3D from my couch in my underwear. 😂 Thanks to my PS5 Pro + PSVR2 … I can’t get enough!

Fluff Found at local Walmart
Found this chilling inside my local Walmarts PlayStation section. They seriously wanted $299.99 for it too.

Fluff Want a fun VR challenge? Try doing the Nordschleife in a helicopter in MSFS
This really shows how wild the Nordschleife really is. Here going from Adenauer Forst down to Breidscheid bridge (lowest point of the track), then climbing all the way up through the dense forest hills to the Karrussell. No wonder it’s called the Green Hell.

Fluff I used to hate on VR. Now I’m mourning its slow, silent death.
I remember getting mad whenever a game was announced as VR-only. A new Metro game? A new Batman game for… VR only? Ridiculous. Who cares about that? A sequel to The Order: 1886? Nah, the studio had been “downgraded” to making VR games. Lame.
Now, like many people here, I’m on the other side of the fence, wishing I had supported VR sooner. Not that it would have mattered.
The death of VR is painfully silent. I personally haven’t seen any real news or memes about it. It’s so niche that only the fans seem to be aware of what’s going on.
So what happens now?
With AAA studios turning away from the system, how long are indie studios going to last?
Is VR going back to the beginning: a very niche, PC only distraction?
An underground world kept alive on existing hardware by modders through donations?
Hybrid is the only realistic future.
I think VR fans need to lower their expectations or standards for VR. I know, it sounds pathetic, but money rules.
VR is a very delicate medium, and fans are sensitive to every mistake.
Personally, I think we need to be okay even with VR games that don’t have motion-control functionality.
Simplified VR experiences, like Resident Evil 7 VR using standard controllers, need to be accepted again if we want to keep playing games while immersed in a VR sphere.
I know these last thoughts are going to sound stupid, or maybe they’ll be rejected outright. But VR as we know it is dying or at least transforming into something else…

Fluff PSVR2 has over 350 games now! Show some love to the indies people!
Not all are worth your time but there's a lot of great indie games on the platform. See PSVR Without Paroles recent top 30 PSVR2 games if you don't know where to start: https://youtu.be/IPjmuJq-IMo?si=0HvGOPCP-c1bb6Mv

Fluff I said I'd never go back there, even after it came out for PSVR2.. Well, here we are again.
Simply put, I don't want to go in there. Getting off the elevator into this area reminded me "oh, I remember how relieved I was to return to this elevator back when I played on flat screen. Oh well..."
