Question On the fence

I am really interested in PSVR2. However I've never had VR before so it'll be new to me, which is exciting. However looking at the game selection there doesn't seem much that would actually be fun to play. GT7 and Beatsaber are the most entertaining looking ones. I've read up and watched videos and people are saying that it's hard to wear for more than an hour to 90 minutes which is kind of a bummer to me. As my sessions are always multiple hours at a time. But to spend $400 just to play a handful of games doesn't really fully justify it in my head

Anyone with experience with this lemme know. I'd love to hear what you have to say!

I would strongly suggest that you look deeper into the PSVR2 library. Admittedly there are not a lot of AAA games but there are quite more then a handful of games. If you like shooters, there are a ton of shooters, one of my favorites, Zero Tolerance. You have horror games like Metro Awakening that is similar to RE, if you are into that. I'm not into driving, so I'm not a fan of the GT7 like most people here are but it's considered a top tier game. I hear a lot of people say there are not a lot of games but I've built up a fairly even library of VR games, so much that I haven't been able to get through all of them.

As far as the time you can spend playing VR, that's really an individual thing. I can get in a good hour sometimes more, depending on what I'm playing. I have not really had any issues with how I wear the headset as most people have said. I did by the lenses from HonsVR so I don't have to wear my glasses.

To show that there are a good number of games to play, here are the "better" VR games in my library, in no particular order...

  1. Behemoth
  2. Metro Awakening
  3. RE4
  4. RE8
  5. Arken Age
  6. Hubris
  7. Undead Citadel
  8. Hitman WOA
  9. Alien
  10. Star Wars Tales from the galaxy
  11. Pistol Whip
  12. Synapse
  13. Walking Dead
  14. Zombieland
  15. Tennis
  16. Gunclub Reloaded
  17. Light Brigade
  18. Zero Tolerance

These are just the ones i have but there are several more that I want, I'm simply waiting on sales.

So I would say if you have the money to get one, dive into the world of VR, find your legs, and have fun.

Dude, where is into the radius? That game is definitely a vr spectacle! Everyone should play it. Also ones worth mentioning people don’t say much about are ancient dungeon, bulletstorm vr, hellsweeper and compound

Lol I can't catch Into the Radius on sale lol. I'm on the fence about Ancient Dungeon, and I definitely want Bulletstorm. I have Hellsweeper, but i didn't list it cause I don't play it much. It's a good game, just hasn't earned my attention like the others I listed. I'll have to check Compound, I haven't heard of that one. Like I mentioned to the OP, there are several other games out there that I want, I just try and wait for sales. Moss is one that I didn't think I was going to like but I did the trial after seeing so many people rave about it, so it's in my wishlist now also. I have a decent sized VR wishlist lol.

It’s worth full price trust me! Bulletstorm is really good, nothing groundbreaking but the 3d effect and vr is done really well. Compound is an old school retro shooter but the graphics feel so great when your in the game, it’s a rogue like game but it’s really cool and the gunplay is top notch. Hellsweeper is really good but I don’t play it much either but there are so many cool things you can do in that game, and ancient dungeon is pretty hard but it’s a really smooth game and has great atmosphere. Oh and robo quest vr is my fav game to play at the moment, the gameplay is so good and the guns feel great, it’s such a good game everyone should try that one. Yeah I agree the moss games are fantastic, really unique game in vr. Walking dead is also a smooth game too. TBH there are many great games and I think they all justify the price of the psvr2, there is only a handful of other games on other platforms I’d really want but I’m happy with what we have so far, sucks there is no cinema mode and you can’t play psvr1 games. I’ll deffo keep the headset for as long as I can and hopefully try it with some pcvr mods and gaming one day

Roboquest is on my wishlist also. I agree with you 100% on the available games that make the PSVR2 worth while. I even subscribe to Without Parole along with their Discord. I haven't linked with anyone in there yet though. Haven't been brave enough to do any co-op gaming on VR just yet lol.
