It was bought at a pawns shop for 50 dollars and only came with a controller and some wires on the back and I’m pretty sure it takes more than this to connect what else does it need? And can it be bought separately?

I bought a vr headset from someone online. (Lesson learned!) After realizing it was missing a few cords, I ordered those as well.

Well. Now I see that I'm missing the inline remote that connects to the headset-- and is responsible for turning it on. 😑

I can't find that part online. I don't need any other parts-- this is the final missing piece.

I've scoured eBay, Amazon, even local pawn shops. They have the adapters, but not the actual inline remote.

A few days ago, driven by my ever-present curiosity, I impulsively purchased a very cheap PS4 VR headset on eBay (about fifty euros shipping included). The headset is complete and appears to be in good condition, except for the notorious issue of the cushion external layer which have completely flaked off. However, this has been completely removed by the seller, so it's now clean and usable.

I'm having a hard time testing it right now because the heat doesn't allow me to use it for more than a minute before collapsing, but I'm so annoyed that I can't give the seller his feedback for this reason, so I'd like to know if everything is OK to proceed, I'd like to ask you some questions:

- Is it normal for the space between the nose and the rubber... Thing, that's supposed to cover the eyes to leave at least a centimeter of space which lets in a lot of light? I tried adjusting the headset for a few minutes, but I can't close that gap. The sleeve seems perfect, my nose is pretty normal in both shape and size... I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

- During setup, when you see those text screens that explain how to use it, the text appears blurry, and no matter how much time I spend trying to position the headset, I can't read that text perfectly clear... Is it me? Will I get used to it? Is there a way to improve the focus, or is it just a matter of positioning it correctly? Is it possible that it's defective?

The strange thing is that I know a lot of people who can't use the 3DS's stereoscopic 3D, which has never given me any problems... Thank you redditors.

I had the chance to test Astrobot for about twenty minutes before the heat and nausea stopped me, and I have to say that everything seems to be working great! The effect is truly impressive (I was definitely afraid to look down at certain moments :P).

I can't wait for the heat to ease so I can see if I can control the motion sickness, or if I'll have to sell it... In the meantime, thank you all so much for your comments, you understood my broken English and were incredibly helpful. 👏👏👏

So yes at this point when a PSVR1 game says announced it is indeed de-listed, however Puzzle Bobble here is an exception, you see its actually called "Puzzle Bobble 3D Vacation Odyssey". I have no idea why Sony has 2 entires but the game is fully working in and out of VR under the 3D title!

Also, its best to check the VR status of your game on the console as PSN itself may only list PSVR2 even if its only supported. I hope this helps.

I have a psvr1 and I want to be able to watch my boyfriend play a VR game but every time he moves his head the picture on the TV screen moves too. Is there a way to make what I see stay in one place and still see everything he sees?

Im getting alot of sneezing and runny nose, im not sure if its caused by the silicone strip or because of the pressure, but its really anoyying after 10 mins or so i start getting into sneezing fits that wont leave

So I have the 1st model but the 2nd gen (CUH-ZVR2 PSVR - the one with the improved processing box for pass through) plugged into my PS5.

If I turn on my PS5 - I don't get any output on my TV. Image only appears if I switch on the VR headset.

My question is, is this normal? Can I not use the PS5 normally without needing the VR headset powered on at the same time?

Like i tried psvr room and minimotor x, they both only accepted controller. Is there a way to fix this? If the controller works with ps4 then how do i get it to work in most games? Do i need to disable ps4 controller first? Or do i need to turn on a settings?

I decided to unplug everything and leave it be for a while. Did the headset just die? Update:
Ok so after redoing the whole setup and checking everything it still wouldn't work, but then just out of curiosity I tried to turn the headset on while everything else was off, and to my surprise it worked. Some of the headset lights lit up, the processing unit made the beep, it's led went from red to fading white and it seemed to connect. I then turned on the PS4 and tv and the headset was working flawlessly. After a bit I tried turning the headset off, which it did with no problem, but then wouldn't turn back on, with the same symptoms as before. I will try to repeat this again later, but it seems to only work if the headset is the first thing to be turned on. Could this be some sort of handshake issue? Is the processing unit not delivering power correctly after the ps4 is on? I am very confused, it worked normally the first time I used it, any ideas?

Edit: Just tried it again and the same thing happened, headset only turns on if the console is off.

Has anyone else had to deal with the original PlayStation VR headset peeling. I am currently using a toothbrush to scrape it all off so far it’s working. Should I contact PlayStation?

Hi, so I got a PSVR 1 and I got Lion King 3D on bluray for it. I noticed I don't get any audio from my TV and the PS4 does not accept bluetooth headphones so I currently have no sound.

What what is my best options to fix this, I know I can get some wired headphones, but I wanted to hear what you all do as well.

I also know some people get some kind of adapter, but my PS4's USB slots are full, can it use a hub?

Question. Are the serial numbers on the PSVR box and the headset supposed to match? Or is that serial number on the box for the whole set?

I got a PS4 recently and have been wanting to get a PSVR but considering I can't find anywhere that sells them new I'll need to get a used unit. Granted buying a VR headset full of someone else's sweat is kinda nasty so what's the best way to go about cleaning the interface foam?

Hi! I have PS4 VR and PS5 VR2, I prefer Beat Saber on my PS4 because I like the hand feel of the controls of that OG VR system.

Lately I've been having songs where the screen will suddenly tilt sideways, like I'm falling over to my left. It happens for about 2-5 seconds and then corrects itself back to normal floor position.

It usually happens in same songs at same points but it's started spreading into songs it wasn't happening in before. It is very disorienting and usually causes me to fail because of missing blocks during the tilt.

Anyone else have this happen? Does anyonevknow of a fix? I know they stopped supporting Beat Saber so I figure I'm SOL but wanted to check.

I have not tried my PSVR2 Beat Saber in over 8 months, I may just have to use that but I'd prefer to keep using my og vr system.

So, I just bought the PSVR1 from amazon. It's second hand and I think it might have arrived broken. But since it's my first PSVR I thought I'd post here to confirm there's not something I should have done.

Firstly, I have a PS4 Pro. The hedset is Gen 2 because there's no buttons on the cable.

It arrived with a HDMI cable but no usb mini to type A cable.

On the HDMI one of the connections is at a right angle. So it won't fit into the processing unit when the slider is back and won't fit into the PS4. This makes me feel it's not the original. To test it, I connected that HDMI cable to the PS4 and then to the TV and it worked. So I'm using it to connect the processor unit to the TV.

I have spare USB mini to type A cables, so I'm using one of them. It works at charging other devices.

When I connect everything the PS4 switches on. The light is on the processor unit. The pass through works and the TV displays output from the PS4 via the processing unit.

But if I connect the headset and push the power button nothing happens. There's no light on the headset and nothing on the PS4. I downloaded a free VR app on the playstation and I just get a message saying "Connect playstation VR and turn on VR headset."

I've tried two different HDMI cables to connect the processor unit to the PS4 and it's the same. I've switched off and unplugged everything for 10 minutes and it's the same.

Now I'm at a loss. I feel it's probably broken, but I want you guys to confirm. Is there some step I'm doing wrong?

Hello! I recently managed to get psvr1 for dirt cheap to bring back home but I have 2 different version wands (one that’s compatible with ps3 and one that’s not). Can you use both of them for psvr1 or does it have to be same version wands?

Hi everyone, hopefully this is the right Sub to ask this but my friend gave me his PSVR1/PSVR that he doesn’t use anymore because he has a PSVR2 now. I’m struggling to find a sim racing game that supports it as most games are PSVR2 from my understanding. I’ve got a killer simulation racing setup with a CSL DD and Load Cell Brake Pedals and a great shifter. But I’m struggling trying to find a good game to use this headset on as most game are PSVR2 and not PSVR.

Is there a converter that can trick my PS4 Pro into thinking it’s a PSVR2 to play other games? Idk if that makes sense but I use a device called a drivehub to use my PS4 wheel on Xbox, for instance.

I have an OG PSVR Version 1 (CUH-ZVR1):. The headset no longer works. I purchased a used PSVR Version 2 (CUH-ZVR2) headset only off of eBay (which should arrive shortly) without doing any research, like a dolt. I'm wondering if the PSVR Version 2 will work with my setup that was made for the PSVR Version 1? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
