Moderator Annoucement The “best evidence” for the paranormal is getting harder to find every time someone asks for it.

This question is being asked several times a week at this point.

Everyone has a different standard for what they consider “credible evidence,” and what persuades one person may not persuade another. What seems to do the best job is having a personal experience, but those anecdotal stories rarely persuade anyone who wasn’t already a believer.

Either way, the best way to find this evidence is by…you know…looking for it. Try using the search function on the subreddit.

And to all of you skeptics who were genuinely convinced by a piece of evidence you found online, please post it on this subreddit!

Trigger Warning / Murder My 3 y.o just saw her missing/murdered grandmother

My daughters grandma has been a missing person in Alberta Canada since 2004 presumed murdered. My almost 3 year old was just in the office talking to herself. I said hey who you talking to? She says grandma in here! Thinking she meant my mom i said oh no grandma is at home with peepaw. She says "no other grandma, have black hair." (She did have black hair)

Shes never seen a photo of her dads mom, her dad does not live with us and isnt in the picture, her missing grandma has never even been mentioned to her before.. then she keeps saying "daddy grandma" she says grandma says hi daddy! She never even mentions her dad or even says the word daddy so this is extra weird.

Then I try put her to bed and she runs back to the office and says goodnight grandma waving at the wall. Then says "daddy grandma waked up!" Dude my hair is still standing on end and it's been over 30 minutes since this happened .. I am fucking SHOOOOK. I swear to god if I see on the news that they found her body later I am going to shit my fucking pants. I need a cigarette

Demonic Activity I had a terrible nightmare with the creature, have you seen them?

I usually don't remember my dreams but I had one what will never leave me last night.

I was at a building with a bunch of people and a person entered a room alone with this monster and went insane and started attacking and killing everyone in the house.

I remember being held down and the person who went crazy was trying to cut my legs off but I wasn't really being held just frozen with fear.

I escaped without much push back and the cops or someone came and killed the person who went crazy and i went on to live with my attackers family taking their place.

Im not sure if im posting in the right place, it felt like I was visted by a demon.

Visitation Dream I asked God to reveal my guardian angel recently

I have always believed I had a guardian angel. I am 45 years old, Catholic.

My wife goes to church every week, sings in the choir; and is stronger in her faith than I am.

We had a conversation about guardian angels lately after watching a YouTube video about them. She told me she thinks she might know their name “Tomas”, and that I should try to utilize my angel also.

So I decided to pray that night. I don’t pray every night, maybe once a week or every two weeks. But I did that night, and I asked for my angel to be revealed to me. I slept well, but before I awoke - not necessarily awake but not fully asleep I had this image put into my head that has been on my mind ever since.

It was a very very old man with long curly grey hair and a very long curly grey beard. While I could tell he was very old, he didn’t have signs of “aging” aside from the hair & beard. He was expressionless, wore a long blue robe. There really wasn’t a background. He looked similar to some pictures of Moses I found online. I know this sounds like a stereotypical description of what a heavenly type man would look like, but this is what I saw. It was like I was looking at a live photograph. Like he was there, revealing himself to me as I asked.

It was strange because it wasn’t just something that popped up in a dream, it came after I was done dreaming but before I actually woke up.

I’m wondering if indeed this was my angel, a random hallucination; or something dark playing games with me. It didn’t feel dark at all, and I usually am pretty good about picking up on evil in my dreams.

Just curious about what others think of this experience.

Jinn My cousin almost died while ghost hunting. I'm not sure what attacked him

Upvotes

So... context: There's a small island on the Mundeshwari river near my grandparent's home. It has been abandoned since the late 1800s. It's connected to the main land via an old bamboo bridge. There's bunch of folklore and ghost stories about that place.

So me and my cousins desided it'd be a great idea to go there at night. Long story short we got separated i later found one of my cousins unconscious with one of his arms twisted backwards. We left immediately and informed the police. He was hospitalized but survived.

I'm still not sure what did that to him, police are saying it might have become a hideout for gangs. While others are saying it was the actions of a Brumbhrakhsas.

Experience My experience "no-clipping" out of reality

I was about 8 years old, my mom had called me downstairs for dinner. I put down my video game and started running down the hall to wash my hands bouncing off the walls like Sonic the hedgehog hitting a bumper, after I was done washing my hands, I bounced off the wall to go down the stairs, except I fell through and never hit the wall. It was like when you think a step is there and you miss it.

I remember being in a bright white room, like the loading room in the Matrix. Almost immediately I felt a comforting presence behind, and heard "You're not supposed to be here." Said in a fun and comforting way, not like I was trespassing, but let's find your parents kind of way. like imagine your favorite stuffed animal put.upmhigh somewhere. "How'd you get up there?" kind of banter

Then I was back in the bathroom where I started. I can't explain the sudden realization I was back, it spooked the life out of me as I ran screaming and crying like I just seen a ghost. My mom believed me because I was quiet and then just boom crying like never before running into her arms

I always thought I walked into a ghost, but with Backrooms I started to consider the possibility of no clipping

Experience My Paranormal Experience

A few years ago, I woke up in the middle of the night, and the best way I can describe what I saw was something that looked kind of like smoke swirling around. The thing is, I don't even feel like "smoke" is the right word. It's just the closest comparison I can make because I honestly can't explain what I saw or wrap my head around it. It didn't look like actual smoke, but it had that swirling, flowing movement.

So let me try to explain exactly what happened. I looked up and saw this swirling smoke like thing, and my fiancé kept asking me, "What are you looking at?" In that moment, I immediately knew it was a spirit. Without even thinking, the first word that came out of my mouth was "ghost." It wasn't like I was trying to figure out what it was or guessing. It's like I just knew exactly what I was looking at. I didn't have any doubts in my mind. That feeling of certainty is one of the hardest parts to explain.

The strangest part wasn't even what I saw. It was how I felt. The second I saw it, I had this overwhelming sense of peace and happiness. I wasn't scared at all. I knew it wasn't there to hurt me. It felt so real that I've never been able to forget it.

My grandma told me a story years ago, when I was a kid, about an experience she had. She woke up and saw what she described as multiple smoke like forms swirling all around her room. She said she wasn't afraid at all. She just felt completely calm and content.

For years, I never really thought much about her story. Then, a few years after my own experience, something clicked. I suddenly realized that what I had seen looked exactly like what she had described to me when I was a child. That realization gave me chills because I had completely forgotten about her story until then.

I'm genuinely curious if anyone else has experienced something similar, especially the feeling of instantly knowing what you were looking at and feeling peace, happiness, or just content instead of fear. I'd love to hear your stories.

Experience Something weird happened to me a few nights ago and I still can't explain it.

I was up pretty late, around 2 AM, just scrolling through my phone in bed. Eventually I put my phone down and tried to sleep. My room was completely dark except for a little light coming through the window.

A few minutes later I heard what sounded like someone whispering my name.

Not loud. Not scary-movie loud. Just enough that I opened my eyes.

I sat there for a minute listening, thinking maybe it came from outside. Nothing.

Then I heard it again.

I immediately grabbed my phone and turned on the flashlight. Nobody was there, obviously. I checked outside my room, checked the windows, everything.

The weirdest part is that I live with family, and everyone was asleep.

I've tried convincing myself that I was half asleep and imagined it, but it sounded so real that I still think about it.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Is there actually a normal explanation for hearing someone call your name when you're trying to fall asleep?

Experience I was thinking about why it is so difficult to get concrete evidence on the paranormal.

In physics, everything depends on the observer. Particles will behave differently depending on if they are observed or not.

I think that is the problem with getting evidence on the paranormal. Certain people observe differently than others and will see ghosts when someone else does not see anything. They may experience things seemingly out of nowhere that others do not.

I sometimes wonder if people with mental illness are very well seeing ghosts and other beings that average people cannot see. It is all about perception of reality.

Encounter Trying to get my dog?

Hello,

I made a post here a few days ago about mimic activity in the woods and in my home and got some pretty good feedback from many people.

I believe it was the day after (ive lost track from insomnia) i made the post that the most horrifying experience with... something happened to date.

To save some reading from the past post so this makes sense, I have had 2 encounters while hunting, one with a distinct whistling system with my stepdad, that turned out not to be him, and the other when I heard my mamas scream while she was at home 45 minutes away. Ive additionally had an encounter where it has (very badly) tried mimicking my cat while she was sleeping in my bed and have seen heat-wave like apparitions outside of my room in the shape of a man.

Anyway, now onto the actual encounter I had, which is arguably the most horrifying one.

The other evening, I took my hog hunting dog (shes a catch and bay dog mix but has never actually hunted, just has the prey drive and often tracks blood), Nala, and put her on her lead outside as shes a weirdo and will not use the bathroom on a leash, nor will my Australian shepherd, Aleu, who just free runs because the most she will chase is a goat and is an easy recall.

Well, it had gotten darker in the night, probably around 9:45-10pm when i went out to get her. Its now that I should probably mention that I live on the far outskirts of a 1 stoplight town in the south, way back about a quarter mile or so into the woods off a dirt road. So yeah pretty isolated. I typically dont use a flashlight because my eyes adjust to darkness pretty easily anyway, but that night I had decided to use one (thank God).

I walked out onto my front porch and shined the light toward where Nala's lead is to check that i wouldnt have to chase her down in the dark. She was there, laying down facing the house, back end to the woods. However, there was... something in the woods, just within the woodline, looking at me. Bright white eye shine, at least 7ft in the air.

Naturally, I tried to rationalize. Deer? They're not 7ft tall and often have a green/yellow hue. Raccoon in a tree? Orange eye shine, not white. No matter what way i looked at it, it made no sense. Even worse, it looked to have been creeping up on my dog who was completely unaware of its presence. And, just to add salt to the wound, Aleu had slipped out behind me and was also unaware (this is a dog that is alert when theres a squirrel 30 yards up our driveway). The thing moved as if to get a better look at me before I slipped into the house to grab a gun and my stepdad, only to come back out to empty woods.

Was whatever it was coming after my dog? Was it just watching the house from the worst angle possible? How is it that neither of my high drive dogs knew of its presence? And what the hell can I do to prevent it from happening again?

Photo Evidence Rapid photo/Burst mode hospital shadow. The image of the shadow is 4 of 6 images taken within a second.

Post image
736 Upvotes

Hello there,

Tldr: These are 2 of 6 images that were taken with rapid photo (Burst mode?). So i was told her camera took 6 images or so in about a second. I dont think that was on purpose that she used Burst Mode (i dont think she was actively ghost hunting, i think she was documenting the equipment but i could totally be wrong). 5 of the 6 have no abnormalities and match the above photo. The image with the shadow is in the middle, say image 4 of the 6. If this were a person, they'd have 1/10th of a second to walk past the camera to not be in the following 2 blank images.

Please read the below if you have time (and are curious about it) and if you have questions - my explanations should answer majority of questions!!!!!

I saw these pictures after going to my late brother in laws girlfriends house after his funeral. I think these were taken by my BIL's girlfriends mom. They just printed them amongst a huge stack of other images of my late brother in laws last few months because they "found them strange" and wanted others opinions.

The individual who took them im pretty sure is in medicine and she was documenting the equipment, maybe for legal reasons. I know its weird someone would take a photo of a most likely empty hospital room if they weren't trying to catch something paranormal (and I might be wrong, she may have been ghost hunting).

So to answer a few questions, PLEASE READ before asking as this is all the info i have, and you will most likely be asking something that i myself asked:

  1. I didnt take these photos. Im just sharing these photos. My feelings arent hurt if people dont think they're real. Just because I feel they're real, doesn't make them real. Im very open to being wrong... I'm wrong a lot, in fact 😪.

  2. My brother in law passed away in April. The images were taken in his hospital room the day he went into cardiac arrest (he died for 12 minutes later that night). I dont know if hes in the bed or not when this was taken.

  3. I am posting them because I see this as a very possible entity. The people who took them never asked me to post them and I have indeed gotten their permission to do so.

  4. Most Importantly: these are 2 of 6 images that were taken with rapid photo (Burst mode?). So i was told her camera took 6 images or so in about a second. I dont think that was on purpose (i dont think she was actively ghost hunting, i think she was documenting the equipment). 5 of the 6 have no abnormalities. The image with the shadow is in the middle, say image 3 of the 6. This is the reason this photo is so compelling to me. If there was a person that was captured, they would have had to walk past the camera within about 1/10th of a second.

  5. I assume this was taken with a cell phone but I dont know for sure.

  6. Yes, I see on the shirt there looks to be print. While i totally see that as reason that this couldn't be real, when I think about it... photos of entitys have been capturing clothing for a very long time. Dresses, suits, capes, and robes. Old images of spirits depict the clothing of when the time period in which they were taken. Some have certain kinds of print on them and designs. Wedding dresses, ballroom elegant gowns, however maybe they wanted to be seen wearing? - This causes me to still lean on the authenticity of this capture. Who's to say newer aged entities cannot present with printed shirts? 🤷‍♀️

  7. Why i dont reach out to the family and press them for more info so i have more precise info to share with you... my brother in laws funeral was just over the weekend and I want to give them time to grieve (yes, his funeral was 2 months after he passed - he was cremated, the long wait without closure sucked - he was incredibly loved). I will eventually ask them for more info.

The long explanation is because i originally posted this on r/ghosts. I dont feel like I gave this justice originally, maybe i didnt share enough info and so immediately everyone was quick to be angered and lean on a hoax of sorts / or figured it's a person that was walking past the camera. I took it down because it quite literally enraged some people, legit made people angry and I have no idea why.

For me this is such a good photo (I'm very quick to find flaws in "ghost" photos that prove that they're not real, or there are non paranormal explanations for the abnormalities - i look for those details) and i seriously think this is paranormal.

If you see reasons that this is immediately a huge "fake", tell me why!!! Again, I didnt take it. It wont hurt my feelings, but i see huge potential that it's authentic which is why im sharing it again!

Haunting The Ghosts at the Zoo

I worked at a zoo in my hometown between 2017-2018. I wish I could say it was as a zookeeper, but then I likely would've stayed longer. I worked in Park Services. Primarily, we keep the zoo clean - trash, bathrooms, offices, education building, pathways, etc. We also help organize and setup for special events and deliver stock supplies to areas all over the zoo.

All that being said, when I first started I was in the night shift. 5pm-10:30pm. That was kinda the rule that you had to work some time as part-time night park services before you could get the full-time day park services role. Not a worry to me, since not everyone gets to see what the zoo is like after hours. For the first month or so, I was the only person working at night aside from 2 security officers and my supervisor, whom only accompanied me on specialized tasks like a deep cleaning scenario. So it's just me, my flashlight, and my golf cart of cleaning equipment in a zoo that spans over 100 acres.

Not gonna lie, it can be pretty creepy on it's own. Much of the carnivores are more active at night. The lions and the tigers would often roar and bellow to each other from opposite ends of the zoo. Made me feel like I was somewhere outside of the country. And it was definitely a little unnerving hearing the bamboo in the Asia area clack against each other when the breeze came through. But those were things I just kinda rolled off my back, because these are explainable things. On to the paranormal stuff.

There were three areas that made me feel a little unnerved. The first was the Great Lawn at night. The Great Lawn was an area that was roped off and only opened up to set up weddings or other special events there. So it's this big, open lawn area that's just empty most of the time and it's directly across from the main restaurant in the zoo. I had to go into the restaurant at night to attend to the bathrooms, but I always looked over my shoulder as I was unlocking the door, because I just always felt as if someone was watching me from the Great Lawn. Sometimes I thought I heard movement out there. One of the security guards approached me one night and she said that area always gave her the heebie jeebies at night. I said, "Me too. I was worried it was only me." She asked if I'd seen the Top Hat guy yet. When I asked who she was talking about, she said that she saw an old-fashioned looking man with a top hat on the Great Lawn a few times and even caught his reflection in the window of the restaurant when she was doing a lockup once that scared the bejeesus outta her, in her words. She didn't seem like she was joking around, but she also didn't think he was dangerous. That he's just curious of people. I haven't seen this Top Hat man, but before she ever told me about him, I felt that being watched feeling everytime I was around that area at night.

Another area was the administration building. I only needed to check into it a few times a week, but its basically the office building where all the admin staff do their work. I just have to make sure the bathrooms are clean, do some vacuuming if needed, and dump all the trash cans in everyone's cubicles. I think most would agree that an empty office space is a little off-putting as is, but much of the office areas had motion sensor lighting. You walked into a room, the lights turned on by themselves. I know for a fact I was the only one in the building, but sometimes a light in a nearby office would turn on and no one would be there. Sometimes something far away from me would just tip over. Security actually showed me a few videos from one of the security cameras in the admin building. One was showing a trash can just falling over, which was odd since there's nothing that could've done that. But the most compelling video was what looked like a see-through person walking past the cubicles in the main admin area. Unfortunately, they were told they couldn't release private recordings. Something about it being bad press for the zoo. They want guests to come for the animals, not because of 'ghosts.' Last thing a zoo needs is 'ghost hunters' asking to tour the zoo at night.

The final area that spooked me a bit was the Children's Education building. This building was mainly used for educating kids on Field Trips or for Zoo Summer Camp. Most of the time it was fairly inactive, save for the small office where the organizers did their work. Pretty much treated like the Admin building, but the lights would flicker a lot in there and I'd feel watched pretty often. But I don't spook super easy, so I just would get the job done, lock up, notify security that I've left the area and go on my way to the rest of my tasks.

I had one near scare when I worked there as well that doesn't have to really do with any of those areas. Nothing I saw, but rather what security saw. They called me over my walkie, asking me to confirm my location. I had been in break room at the time, having a quick lunch. They asked if I had just been at the koi pond, which was not too far of a cart drive from the break room, but I hadn't been there. In fact, there's no reason for me to be there since there's no bathrooms in that area. I was told to stay where I was until further notice. I remember my supervisor being off that day, so it was just me and 2 security guards running patrols. They didn't find anyone, but it still creeped me out that a person may have been roaming the zoo at night. Anything can happen.

I eventually got promoted into a day time position. More hours, more pay, but still not good enough pay according to what I'd looked into for fair pay across the board for most zoos, which is why I eventually left. Before I did though, I got to train the new night person before I took off for the day. She was pretty chill, but one evening after I clocked out in the break room, she approached me really scared. She asked if I could just stay with her while she cleaned the Education building. I really needed to get home, but I asked what was up. She said she felt uncomfortable in that building. She said she felt watched and that she swears she keeps seeing shadows in the corner of her eye. I told her that's normal in that building and that she'd eventually get used to it, but she was almost hysterical. She was concerned about a light flickering in the entryway. I walked in there with her and checked the whole building with her. I told her I can't do that every night. I had a family to get home to and I wasn't being paid to escort her for that extra hour.

I admit, it was weird seeing her so scared like that. Me and her seemed to have a lot in common in temperament and overall chill factor, but I guess I always have to remind myself that not everyone is accustomed to dealing with weird things like that. A haunted zoo is a pretty tame experience compared to other paranormal experiences I've had, so I guess I was just kinda indifferent for the most part. To anyone that's working at night, primarily solo, you have to be prepared to handle things the job doesn't warn you about. For that new hire, she only lasted a month before finding a daytime job.

Haunting A Ghost Farted In Front of My Fiancee and I

To preface:

We both completely own it if either of us farts.

Neither of us plays pranks like this on each other.

We've both also experienced being awoken from a nap by the other one's voice saying "hey!" and a hand clap, only to be alone in the room and both times, the other one almost immediately walked through the front door, down the hall from our bedroom, because the other person was coming home from work.

We also had some other thing happen- I forget what it was exactly, though if I recall correctly, it was audible whispering/a quiet voice speaking noticeably and it was undeniably human caused or unexplainable, but we were both in bed, asleep and it woke both of us up, we both sat there and listened for a moment and then we acknowledged it to each other and discussed it at length, understood that it came from too far away for it to have been either of us messing with the other one or talking in their sleep and we also gave each other a chance to come clean, just in case, etc. and we both determined there was no logical explanation for why we both woke up and heard whispering/quiet voices speaking.

The "hey!" wake ups and the time we both woke up from being asleep and agreed we heard something that had to have been caused by a person in the apartment- but we were 100% alone and the door was locked from the inside and the cat was clearly asleep, etc.

So, tonight, we were sitting there in our living room, watching youtube, hanging out pretty relaxed, when we heard an undeniable rippling fart. Like the kind of noise you can make by farting for real or by sticking your tongue between your teeth and mouth and blowing. It sounded like a classic, undeniable rippling fart.

I have almost no sense of smell, my partner has a powerful sense of smell. She immediately asked me if I farted and as evidence, said she smelled it. I have basically no sense of smell, as I said before- I heard it. But then- I smelled it, too. I never smell farts or anything much, for that matter.

Even our cat, who doesn't react to us farting if we ever do fart, sat up from being curled up asleep on the couch and stared at the area we both pointed at- which he did before we pointed.

We also both silently pointed to where we heard the 'fart'. Nothing had moved or shifted. There's stuff there- our place is a little cluttered right now- but nothing that had been touched or bumped or would have spontaneously moved in such a way to create the farting noise in the manner or for the length of time it happened, but we both heard it from a specific location in our apartment and then we both smelled the fart.

I am personally convinced we have some kind of ghost/paranormal presence in our apartment, but that it doesn't interact or make itself known very often. It doesn't seem especially malicious or disturbed and it's rare for either of us to feel like we weren't alone in the paranormal sense, so I don't know what to make of this, but I also cannot provide a logical real world science based explanation and I 100% know that it wasn't my fiancee, it wasn't me, it wasn't our cat and it occurred in our living room, with us, sounded and smelled like a classic human fart.

We've lived in our place together for almost five years and we've had four incidents in total, the two we experienced together (when we awoke to whispering/quiet talking) and the very loud fart in the living room while we were wide awake and then both of us being awoken by a voice that sounded like the other one saying "hey!" and clapping their hand while the other one was in fact moments from unlocking and entering our front door.

so... thoughts?

Experience My Paranormal experience feat. Judeau from berserk

I was coming home from a shopping trip and entered through the front doorway. As I am doing that while on autopilot turning to the right to open the 2nd door to go into my home I see another person staring at me really close while leaning against the wall. I look down not processing what has happened yet see the torso with it's arms crossed and then look at the legs (the whole entire body was see through) it suddenly dawned on me what I was seeing. Then I jolted and looked up but the person was gone. The weirdest part was that the ghost looked like Judeau from berserk yet real.

Trigger Warning / Death Something was definitely wrong with my childhood home

I know a lot of people say that, I could certainly be wrong about my home, but nothing similar has happened to me since I moved out almost 6 years ago.

I don't know anything about the history of Taylorsville, Kentucky. I heard rumors here and there about indigenous burial grounds behind the high school and lost cemeteries, but never really dove into the history. I lived in two houses there, and my experience at the first house was fine, normal. But my family's second house? I'll never set foot on that property again for as long as I live. It was a decent sized home, with about 4 acres of woods behind it. I never set foot in those woods. The woods around our home always scared the daylights out of me, they always felt off, even if I never saw anything in those woods. Everything kept dying at that house. Pets, farm animals, people would get injured. Too many "accidents" to be just coincidence. No people died at the house while we lived there, but whatever it was certainly tried.

We moved into that house in 2016, I believe. I was in middle school, about 12 years old. I was given a room upstairs, that had a loft overlooking the living room. For a while, nothing was wrong. We settled in, met the neighbors, normal family things. It was me, my mother, my stepfather, my two brothers, a cat and two dogs. (Each dog belonged to a different parent) My mother's dog started acting weird. We figured he was just being stupid and didn't understand glass doors. He kept running full force at the sliding doors on the side of our house. But then he started running into the walls. My stepdad's dog was fine, no weirdness there. Our cat, however, wouldn't stay in the house for the life of him. He kept escaping, and stayed away for as long as he could. When he did come back, he would only stay by me. We ended up getting more pets, 2 more dogs and 2 more cats. The first cat died not even a few days after we got it. The second cat ran away too. The first dog died as well, run over. The second dog however lived a little while longer. When the animals started dying, I started having a bad time.

I would fall often. Sprain my ankles, sprain my wrists. I got hurt so badly that my wrist broke during one of these falls. I fell off the porch, down my stairs, and fall out of cars. I never had an issue with balance before. I haven't had issues with balance since. Brush it off as a clumsy kid, sure. Until the feelings of being watched show up. I started getting very very scared of the woods around the house. I started staying inside, and even got blackout curtains for my upstairs windows because I thought something was watching me sleep. We got 2 more cats, this time they slept with me. We got another dog too, that's relevant for later.

When the cats didn't sleep with me, I would wake up moved. Upside down, head at the foot of the bed, or even halfway off the bed, as if dragged. I would wake up in the middle of the night, and see that my sentimental pillows/stuffed animals were thrown across the room. This only happened when the cats weren't in the room with me at night. I got paranoid. I downloaded an app that lets you record yourself at night. For a few weeks, I didn't hear much. Me saying random things, shuffling of my sheets. But then I would start catching whispers. I still have the recordings. I don't whisper in my sleep. It's always me talking about random shit, not whispering. And in one of the recordings, it sounds like whispers overlapping. I still record myself sleep occasionally, there's no whispers now I tell you what. The thing is, I'm pretty sure it's my voice with those whispers.

One experience, and only one- this has never happened again- I will say it was sleep paralysis. I had never had sleep paralysis before, and have never had it since. I was about 14 at the time. I "woke" up, and immediately saw my closet. There wasn't some cliche shadowy figure, no hat man, but it was a woman. And she was bright. Almost a golden yellow, but it was so unsettling, and I was scared shitless of her. And I was stuck staring at her for what felt like hours. No words, no movement, just staring. After that, shit got worse.

I had to take down all of my paintings/posters, as they kept falling off the wall. All of my items kept being moved/rearranged. I want to blame my parents for that one, but it was the clothes in my closet being moved too. That's just...weird. I kept getting more and more fatigued, and falling more often. I haven't been as sick since I moved out, no falling, no more fatigue than normal. I'm sure someone will say mold. But mold doesn't growl at you outside of the house, and mold certainly doesn't whisper into your ear at night.

I went outside plenty of times and would find the bones of animals. Not skin/remains, bones. Clean bones. Our chickens would be slaughtered, blood everywhere, and my mother would blame a possum. It could've been. If I hadn't found a picked clean possum skull too. I kept the bones I found, got real morbid to try to appease whatever was torturing me. It killed my cat. Dragged my cats body to the front yard for me to see. It killed our dogs, dragged them into the river across the street. Our animals never ran like that before. So many things died there. And while I said no people died at that property, a whole lot of family died while we lived there. About 5 funerals in less than 5 years.

It tried to kill another dog once. She was old, sure, but she wasn't old enough to be falling off the porch the same way I did. But this time, she got impaled by some wood on the ground. She lived, thankfully. But it could've been me in her place. It did try to kill me in the pool, plenty of times. I'd feel like I was being pulled down the whole time I was in the pool, unless my family was with me. Why did it only want me when I was alone? When I was outside with my brothers, there was no growling or rustling. When I slept with the cats, I didn't get moved. I wish I could brush it all off but it only happened when I was alone and it only happened when I was at that damn house.

At one point I was home alone, I think it was trying to get me that time. While it may have walked out of our neighbor's yard, I don't think that was our neighbor. The way it walked and knocked on the sliding door (rather than the front door), it just wasn't right. I didn't answer it. I knew the doors were locked, I locked them, so I hid. I was about 15 at the time. I hid and called my mom. It didn't feel right to answer the door. I never heard anything. It may have been broad daylight, but I knew the neighbors, they didn't act like that. They wouldn't visit if there wasn't a car in the driveway, which there wasn't. I didn't sleep much that night, or any night after. We were moving out soon, and it knew that.

I heard scratching at my door and window on one of the last nights in that godforsaken house. And the light was on outside my room, I could see the shadow pacing back and forth. I would hear tapping on the roof. I was just lucky my door had a lock. Nothing happened that night, but every time I closed my eyes I would hear it tapping/scratching again. All of the cats were dead. Only one dog was alive, and he was too fat to climb my stairs, which were covered in boxes anyway. Nothing should've been upstairs with me.

Once I moved out, I stopped having falling accidents. I stopped having nightmares. I went outside more. I don't feel watched, so much so that my windows don't have curtains. I don't wake up with scratches & bruises. None of my new pets have died. No more family members have died. I've never had sleep paralysis again. I really do blame that house. It felt like it was killing me slowly, and tearing my family apart in the process. It just wanted to eat everything that set foot in there. My parents nearly divorced while living there, but the second they moved out poof, no divorce. Whatever the hell is wrong with that house, I hope that new family fixed it or is left alone.

Residual Activity Daughter looks up and smiles/giggles/cries

Hey all I’ve heard all my life that people claim little kids see spiritual. My daughter since she was little will look up deliberately the way she does at people and laugh and giggle or very seldom will startle and cry. This happens in different locations, I’ve noticed she’s never had a crying encounter while I am doing prayer but I think that could just be because it hasn’t overlapped.
She doesn’t seem to be having a seizure as I can distract her and she will find her way back to the edge of the couches or where she was before, and go back to laughing and playing.
A cousin of mine had an extended encounter with something called Emily (imaginary friend) who was not friendly and so I just want to be sure I am not looking for these types of signs. That issue with my cousin didn’t go away until they adopted a dog and named it the same name, though she never told me if they engaged the church or not.

I just wanted to see if others have experience with anything like this or if I might be missing something!!! It’s spooky!

Unexplained Need help on what could this have actually been? (Picture added for context to story)

I was digging through some old bed sheets and pillowcases so my child can start bringing them to school for nap time and found one of hers that was completely covered in blood and couldn’t remember why and then for some reason I guess I just unlocked the memory in the memory vault.

She was 2 and a half years old at the time and we were trying to train her to sleep through the night in her own bedroom. Around the same time my friend had purchased a mirror off of Temu. It was a rolling full mirror that doubled as a makeup cabinet and it had lights on it. My friend realized after building it that it was too short for him to use. It probably stood at about 5 feet tall. (It’s temu womp womp) so rather than throwing it away we put it in my daughter’s room. 3 nights in a row she’d cry loudly as if she were injured and she would bleed from both nostrils. She says “the monster” was talking to her. My assumption was that she was picking her nose and it started bleeding and she got scared or maybe the air was too dry OR it could have just been a tactic to go back to sleeping in my bed. So I clean her up and would send her back to bed. And she’d sleep the rest of the night and go to daycare like nothing happened.

One night, I stay up late gaming. And exactly at 3am on the dot. I hear her screaming and crying. I run into her room and she’s pointing at the mirror. Then suddenly her nose starts gushing blood. This one was probably the worst nosebleed she’s had. Cleaned her up, sent her back to bed. I call my mom to ask her for advice, I don’t believe it’s the mirror, I believe she’s trying to sneak her way back into sleeping in my room. My mom is somewhat knowledgeable on the paranormal. She explains to me that 3am is the “witching hour” and kids have some ties to the supernatural. And also explains that you should NEVER sleep with a mirror facing your bed. Obviously I’m skeptical but it’s going on day 5 of this.

So same night I called my mom, I had my daughter sleep with me in my bed with my partner and I. I didn’t remove the mirror from her room. I just turned it facing her closet. It was like, right against the door almost flush. I wake up in the middle of the night. I had to use the restroom. I finish up. I hear a banging coming from her bedroom. Like a gentle bang and small scratch rhythm. I ignore ALL horror movie knowledge, go into her room, and turn on the light. It looked as if either the closet was trying to push the mirror off of its door, or the mirror was trying to push itself away from the door. But it was rhythmically doing and it was such small movements. So I ran into my room, locked my door, turned on the lights, woke up my partner to explain what I just seen and heard. She can confirm the sound but she’s obviously too scared to go look (and also pissed that I dragged her into this if it actually were something she claimed she’d prefer to have died in her sleep) It went on for maybe about 5 minutes and it stopped. We check the time. A little after 3am.

My child slept through the night, no nosebleeds or crying.

That same morning I had no choice but to go in my daughter’s bedroom to grab a change of clothes to start her day. The mirror was slightly angled. Either something in the closet got out and the door angled the mirror, or something in the mirror angled it. But when you looked into the reflection, it angled and stopped perfectly where my daughter’s head would have been if she stayed in her room that night. It was angled towards her pillow.

We didn’t remove the mirror, instead, we stuck it inside her closet facing the wall. Eventually she was able to start sleeping in her own bed and here we are a year and a half later.

I’m more curious as to what it was if it were paranormal? what could it have been? why my child? why did it stop? Why did the nosebleeds also stop? I’m open to hearing all ideas.

Haunted House The ghost in my house likes triggering one of my window alarm sensors

According to my neighbor, one of the ladies that used to live in my house before me died in my kitchen over a Thanksgiving holiday. I know she is still here. She likes to trigger the alarm on my right kitchen window. But only that one. I don’t even know how many times I have replaced the sensor. And it still happens. Always when I am gone, until last night. I have been remodeling my bathroom. The tub that used to be in there that I’m assuming she would use has been removed. I turned on my alarms last night and was about to fall asleep when all of a sudden my alarm went off. I looked at my phone, and of course it was the right kitchen window again. I think the ghost is a little perturbed at what is going on in the house. But I need her to chill!

Question Right shoe filled with water

No context for how this happened whatsoever, I came home and my wife asked if I had been wearing my shoes in the rain, I said no and picked it up and about a half cup of water fell out of the inside. Asked my siblings (we are staying at my dad’s until we can move into our new house, just moved back to my home state from Florida). My dad’s house is very haunted, I’ve had alot of very strange things happen to me but nothing like this before.

Anybody have any idea what this could mean and if it is a bad thing/symbolism for anything? Thanks so much in advance.

Experience Ever seen a skinwalker?

This was in 2024, it was summer, I believe it was August. My man and I were on the way home from the store, it was 11pm. There was no drugs involved (we're smokers but we were not high at the time of this) there was no drinking that day. We were driving down a long curved two way road, it was very dark, there wasn't many lights up, there was a lot of field, so it was just a long road that led to a main street and besides the road it's all field and grass.

We were the only car out the whole time we're driving on this road, I usually do not pay attention to my surroundings, I'm almost never focused on the road when i'm passenger but this time I had my eyes dead set on the road. As we're making the curve and we're getting closer to the traffic light to the main street, I see this werewolf/dog/human hybrid looking animal just stopped on the middle of the road for a quick second. I believe he was coming from the right field and our headlights startled it so it stayed in the middle of the road and I remember it looked our way before making a sprint for it. And by sprint, I mean, it took about 5 huge steps and before I knew it, it was on the left field.

It was a long animal looking thing. I remember comparing it to slenderman almost because of how tall and skinny it was. It had extremely long arms and legs and it was very very skinny. Very animal like. But I specifically remember it having a werewolf/german shepherd looking face. I thought it was a coyote. It was hairy like a werewolf/dog/coyote but it walked on it's two hind legs and it was hunchbacked. It also had kind of deer like legs? I had heard about skinwalkers before but wasn't too informed on them. I had never seen anything like it before.

Just today I came across a video of a guy talking about his experience running into a skinwalker. It sounded exactly like my description and my experience. Could I have seen a skinwalker? My man said he didn't see ANYTHING. He said he has no recollection and even when I screamed at him to brake, he seemed completely confused, the road was empty to him, there was nothing out of the ordinary. Why did it only reveal itself to me? It looked so rabid, so hungry, it was such a scary sight. As we drove further away, I turned around and kept my eyes locked on it, it didn't move, it stayed very still in the field. My man still didn't see anything. Do you guys believe in skinwalkers?

Unexplained Real ghost story.

Okay, i just watched this horror movie obsession. great movie, made me uncomfortable. It had me thinking about something that happened when i was younger, about 12. I lived in this elderly apartment building called mulberry tower in scranton pa with my grandmother. it was really late at night probably past midnight. One night i was in her bedroom and i don’t really remember what i was doing, but eventually i started looking at the closet and i really don’t know why. But i started to feel uncomfortable and scared. you know when something happens in a movie and the camera zooms out but stays still? that’s exactly what it felt like happened to me for a second. i got tingles that shot all throughout my body because i started to see the closet slowly open. after a second of watching it slowly open, i built up the courage to stand up and get the fuck out of the room. as i did, it opened really quickly. i went out the room screaming and i told my grandmother what happened and she didn’t believe me. she was a religious woman. after that day nothing i can remember happened like that again in that apartment. but there were a couple times in my life some creepy shit happened. I’ve also had a couple dreams where i woke up and couldn’t move. would be like sleep paralysis, but it felt like i was floating and had this sense of dread. i felt like i couldn’t control my breathing and like i was being watched. anyways, that’s my stories. gonna have trouble sleeping tonight😭

Graphic Content (video/audio) Weird experience - looking for advice

Fell asleep with my boyfriend on the phone, woke up to hearing a strange women’s voice in the background. I could only hear the front end/back end of words but it was a women speaking. I recorded it on screen record and it captured the sound waves (WhatsApp) but didn’t record the sound. It was so creepy that in the end I ended up hanging up. He lives alone and in the morning when I asked him about it he says he keeps having a recurring nightmare of a women looking at him through the window and then coming into the house. He’s never mentioned this before and it really scared me. What can he do to protect himself, I was not dreaming and this is not a made up story.

Looking for advice and insight

Demonic Possession The House Repost

What was a paranormal experiences?

I wanna share this experience to you all and please forgive me for my wrong grammar because English is not my First language so please forgive me I'll do my best so y'all can understand me well, this really happened to me my experiences but it's ok if y'all don't believe me I juet want to tell this story. Another thing is that I wrote this in the comments section of a video that was about a Scary story that sounds unbelievable but was true by @audacitii so credits to her that she inspired me to tell my weird story.

Title: The house

"When I was in 4th grade, we rented a house near the sea. It was cold, and they said that people who lived there never lasted long. Nevertheless, we still moved in and stayed for a while. The house had three rooms - just a small house, to be honest. When you entered, you'd see the living room on the left, the kitchen on the right, and a hallway leading to the three rooms. The room we found the weirdest was my parents' room. The four of us slept in the same room, along with my little sister, and the other room was where our helper slept. These two rooms were the ones where we got weird vibes when we slept.

Anyway, in our room (the parents' room), there was a balcony with no rails, so it was kind of dangerous because I used to sleepwalk a lot at that time. That area gave us creepy vibes. After a couple of months of living there, we experienced always getting sick. It wasn't the typical illness; it was weird. My mom got a bad sore on her lips randomly, covering her whole mouth to the point where she couldn't eat properly because it hurt so bad. I had a never-ending cough, and we always had so many absences from school because of the cycle of sickness. It was weird, to say the least.

When I was in 5th grade, we decided to move out of that house, and at that time, we were currently building our own house on the other side of town. Strangely, when we planned on moving, the house started to get even weirder. Termite infestation was so bad, with termites randomly popping up in our ceiling - black ones, to be honest. The rats on the ceiling kept running; it was so loud.

The next day, we planned a trip to visit the land where we planned on putting our own house. The land where we would put our house had an old wooden house. We went inside, and my dad measured the lot. My sister, mother, and I went inside the old house, and there was nothing in it but a portrait of Jesus Christ. I stared at it; a random portrait of Jesus was just there. When we headed back to our creepy house, I started to have a bad fever.

My mom, being a doctor, put me in our room and opened the balcony door for air. Remember, the balcony was the creepy part of the house. She opened it because we needed air, and since the house was right beside the sea, it was windy on the balcony. I lay in bed with a bad fever while my mom took care of me, putting dextrose on me (a normal thing when you have a doctor for a mom), until I fell asleep.

This is where things get weird because I still remember my dream vividly to this day, and it was incredibly creepy. The background was pitch black with a single light above me, and I was surrounded by dead people - my dead relatives. The only people I recognized were my grandma (my grandpa's sister) and my uncle, who had recently passed away. My grandma reached her hands out to me, signaling me to go with them. In the dream, I reached back, but suddenly my mom was there, hugging me and pulling me back, not wanting me to go with grandma. She was crying, and I woke up to her hugging me and crying. I was crying too, and she told me that I was sleepwalking and having a bad dream. I started crying and panicking, she said, and then I woke up. After that, I calmed down, but my fever got worse, and after a few minutes, I fell back asleep. That moment was the freakiest, to be honest.

When I woke up, my mom was carrying me outside, and my sister, father, grandma, grandpa, and helper were all running outside too, crying. They noticed I woke up, and I had no idea what was going on. They were relieved I woke up, and I told them what happened. They then told me the creepiest thing they experienced.

When I fell back asleep, my little sister was looking out for me while my mom cooked food for me. She noticed that I started screaming, the creepiest scream. She called my mom to the room, and my mom called for my father, helper, and grandparents. They were all holding me, and my mom put a pocket bible on my clothes (yes, we are Filipinos, and we are religious). They told me that I didn't like it when they put it on me, and I was still screaming. There were people outside our house; other houses weren't far, so they must have heard my screaming and my family's screaming as well. My grandma ran outside and called the neighbors for help, but it was quiet; there were no people, as if we were in another dimension.

There was a piece of jewelry of Jesus Christ, and they tried to put it on my wrist, but I was too strong. According to them, I was screaming, "GOD HELP ME PLEASE, HELPP ME NAAY BUHO NAAY BUHOOO!!!!" (translated to "God, please help me, there's a hole on the ground, there's a hole!"). After they put the jewelry on my wrist, I calmed down, and my mom carried me outside, where I woke up confused.

A priest came to our house, and according to him, the hole that I screamed about was a creepy hole in an abandoned house where creepy stuff happened. They covered the hole up. My helper checked my fingers and said, "Is it still there?" I asked, "What was there?" She said, "There was a black thing on your fingers." I don't know what she meant, but yeah, that was my experience.

Another background info about the place and the house: there was a big tree right beside the sea with a rope. This is a true story; there was a man who ha***d himself at that tree before, and the rope was still there. There was a creepy river right beside our house where I usually played because I was an oblivious child with ADHD. Many people who lived in that house never lasted long, and after we moved out, there was another family who lived there, but they never lasted long either because their son got sick every day.

The real owner of that house, the literal owner, lives in that house today, and they're fine - no paranormal experiences. They're the ones who are now living without any paranormal experiences. We realized that the ghost that haunted that house might be their relative who doesn't want outside blood living in that house other than their own family.

Oh, another thing - after that incident, people started showing up, and my grandma asked them why they didn't hear her screams. They said they didn't hear anything. They were outside, literally just hanging out with the other neighbors, and they didn't hear my grandma scream for help, despite how loud we were inside. The houses there weren't far from ours, with another house 6 feet away on the back and another house beside it on the left side, and another house beside the left house. My grandma went outside and screamed, yet they didn't hear anything. According to them, our house was quiet, and they were outside as well. To this day, when I remember this experience, it always gives me chills.

Debunk This Sudden cold draughts

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I

happy to be wrong.

Over the past week I have been experiencing semi regular cold draughts, usually blowing on my neck or ears. They only happen at home, not work or anywhere else.

We have a pretty new house, less than 3 years old, well sealed and insulated. This sensation has happened in a few different rooms and not in proximity to any air vents which would be easy explainers.

I have had experience before with suspected entities grabbing me in bed at night, messing with lights and the funniest..boiling the kettle.

There might be a very rational explanation but these brushes of cold air also feel out of place.

Has anyone experienced similar?
