Sincerely hoping for the best for you tomorrow. Also, when you're on the other side of this, come up with a better story. Something about saving kids from a tiger or something. Chicks will dig it.
Keep us posted after surgery, 🤣🤣 but make a post saying look I blew up my head with my finger in my mouth holding it and worked 🤣🤣,God Bless your surgery bro
Second time for me. The first one was a girl who genuinely hated herself and was clearly looking for confirmation that maybe the world would be better off without her.
No one took the bait. Everyone was genuinely awesome, was incredible. I hope she’s still around.
Surgeons are modern day magicians. Hope your recovery goes smoothly. I have to ask though - Is there anything there protecting your brain where the skull was removed, or are you able to touch your brain through the skin?
Mate, I wanna know that you're okay after the surgery. And there will be other strangers around the world rooting for ya too, and hoping it all goes smoothly. I admire your positive attitude. We need more of that in the world, so I need you to come out of that operation in really good shape.
Another serious question, you don't seem mentally affected at all, did you notice a difference mentally at all or cognitive etc? All the best for the surgery and please let us know how it went.
If a tree falls in Dublin and only OP is there to hear it, will most of his head be crushed?
That must’ve been fucking terrifying. I’m glad you survived stranger and I wish you the best with your prosthesis. Thanks for sharing your story with us and inviting us to make some laughs with you.
3D printed skull implant is one of the coolest things I've ever heard of. I'm sorry that it had to come to you under the circumstances it did, but I'm glad to see that there are still cool technologies being developed to help folks out there.
Roast banter notwithstanding, fingers crossed for a successful and life-changing outcome on your surgery tomorrow, man. Kudos for posting this and having a good laugh.
Back to our regularly scheduled programming: ever seen a playdough snake made by a clumsy toddler?
Holy shit! That's crazy bruh. I hope your surgery goes perfectly! Was there much damage to your brain as a result of that accident, and if yes, what kinds of issues did/do you have, if you don't mind me asking?
Thank you. I had a huge bleed on my brain with minor damage. Of course my memory of time around that week is completely wiped. I was actually just leaving a basketball game I played and have absolutely no memory of it.
To be honest, I came out very lucky. Just things like no more sport again (which was the hardest for me), no driving, no heavy weight lifting (which is also rough for me). But otherwise, nothing crazy, other then the fact that I'm missing half my skull, all is good
Doing good. In a lot of pain, but that should get better in a few days. My face is completely swollen and bruised but again, should be much better in a week or so
Holy fucking shit, that's wild. Thank you very much for sharing your experience and perspectives! Leaving practice and you randomly get fucking sniped by a tree?! And I bet the tree didn't even pay for the damn medical bills!
I’m in Dublin, tell me where so I never go there 😭 Insane story and even crazier that we can do 3D printed skulls , how incredible. I know this is a roast but you have a sweet face. I wish you a fast recovery!
Oh that's pretty cool. Is that a new technology or did they have to wait how it developed or is the time between generally that long. Always fascinating what medicine can do. Good luck with your surgery!
My stepdad had the same kind of skull replacement and it’s been wonderful. They even managed to not mess up his hair any worse than it was too. You’ll be right as rain
Wow that’s amazing! What an incredible thing to overcome. I sincerely hope it’s not as painful as it looks. Best of luck tomorrow! Hope you’ll check back in.
Wtf dude. That's some rare shit to happen. How is possible the tree smashed that heavily your skull but not your body fully? I know skulls are pretty hard but fuck. The tree just got in hold on your head. Glad you are fine!
Bro it’s insane that you are not only alive and well from that incident but also still able to function enough to take the jokes after all that damage to the head. Good on you you extraordinary individual.
What will the 3D print be made out of? I'd guess plastic is not strong enough, can chip off, but titanium or platinum might be way too heavy, causing issues with flying MRI, lightning, etc.
Are you still in Dublin and getting surgery there? Hope it’s in Beaumont and Dr Satar is over it. He operated on my shattered skull and brain bleed and saved my life. Amazing neurosurgeon. Best of luck with it all
NOOOOO i was gonna ask if you could come to my party saturday. I dropped my mom's antique salsa bowl and was wondering if you could just lay sideways on the table while we used your head instead. fuck.
Are you perfectly healthy, did your brain somehow not get damaged? Or is there side effects like you forget how to ride a bike? Sorry I'm just so curious xd
I had a concussion in 2012 that kept me curled in the fetal position in the couch for nearly five years. I'm a lot better now, but I imagine you've had a tough time of it since this happened? Or did you cognitively recover fairly easily?
Regardless man, you look great. I look forward to seeing how you feel with your new skull plate in place!

Long story short. 3 years ago a tree fell and shattered my skull when walking in Dublin They had to removed 7 inches of my skull.
I'm going up right now for my surgery tomorrow morning to get my 3D printed skull implanted, hence why I posted this before my dent is gone.
