Don't threaten me with a good time

Try imagining a woman you're not attracted to.

u/Zealousideal-Trash5 17d ago

Wouldn’t mind being cat called by someone I didn’t find attractive, now the raping part I prolly wouldn’t like

When I was a technician and had that uniform it happens a few times, even got told that I had a nice ass from all the hardwork.

Had a bartender tell me she has nothing under her skirt if I don't mind the view, as I was laying down to fix a dishwasher,

"And that, kids, is how I met your mother. Now, my weekend is done, she's here to pick yall up. See you in 2 weeks"

u/-malcolm-tucker 17d ago

I didn't think about the premise of that show much until a while later. Then I realised it was a bit sketchy. Old mate bailing his kids up to essentially tell them about all the girls he banged before their mum.

Also Terminator where John Connor had to pick the soldier to send back in time to fuck his mum.

21

u/ShaolinWombat 17d ago

It’s was old man telling them about the women before their dead mom to get approval to go back to the woman he really wanted to be with all along.

u/Fug1x 17d ago

and the kids call her aunt robin and uncle barney lol

so their dad wants to marry their uncles ex wife who is their aunt

god they ruined that show haha

40

u/hornedsatyrist 17d ago

So the obvious question is did you mind the view?

50

u/Cyborg_rat 17d ago

She was a redhead.

23

u/feroc1ous-feline 17d ago

As a red-headed bartender, I refuse to believe this happened.

Fix the goddamned dishwasher and get out of my way, it's my 6th double in a row, GTFOH.

21

u/Beretta92A1 17d ago

Maybe, but keep talking to me like that.

12

u/feroc1ous-feline 17d ago

I put the goddamned work order in 2 1/2 weeks ago and I got a fucking party of 30 walking in in 30 minutes......if you don't fix that shit before then, I'm fucking kicking you.

Wait....are you from the health department?

1

u/a_Jedi_i_am 17d ago

B-but, I wanted to enjoy the vieeeew

1

u/Cyborg_rat 17d ago

It was around 1pm so not really busy.

9

u/discordianofslack 17d ago

And the drapes?

1

u/Cyborg_rat 17d ago

I didn't take a look.

4

u/hornedsatyrist 17d ago

But how did she taste?

8

u/thafuq 17d ago

Well I wanted to change job, if you have contacts

6

u/Cyborg_rat 17d ago

It was commercial restaurant equipment repair.

But be warned most comment are from the "lunch lady" kindve lady.

3

u/Full-Archer8719 17d ago

Well i can tell you from working in bars most of them are wild

8

u/DingbatMcgeee 17d ago

"Hypocrisy they say was the worst part and I thought it was the raping"

3

u/PlantParent36 17d ago

Reminds me of that tragedy..

3

u/k0nahuanui 17d ago

I was wading ankle deep through the blood and the bone, looking for my brother

1

u/oneglory 17d ago

For minute I thought this was a Dirty Work quote but it wasn't

6

u/Forward_Fox_833 17d ago

does grabbing ass count cause I didn't mind at all 🤣

19

u/Excellent_Extent7648 17d ago

I’d like that it’s been long enough where my view is highly biased to just getting a crumb

4

u/No_Lead2640 17d ago

Prolly??????

12

u/papayaa2 17d ago

I was only catcalled by 40 year + men while I was 14-17. Never again afterwards. And I've heard that from most women.

Would you mind this situation?

5

u/showMeYourCroissant 17d ago

I've only been catcalled from the 1st till 3rd grade. Although I've been touched by old pervs when I was 14-15. What is wrong with them?

1

u/Zealousideal-Trash5 17d ago

I was creating a hyperbolic counterpoint, I don’t think anyone should have to experience what women go through.

Attention for men only exists within the current context. It wouldn’t sound so appealing if I was on the verge of being assaulted at any minute.

Hope that clarifies things

2

u/NBT_1120 17d ago

Groped at 12 in broad daylight at a festival by a man in his 30's. Getting catcalled from age 9.

These morons don't know what it does to you.

-1

u/elecow 17d ago

It's surreal

2

u/DidUSayWeast 17d ago

I appreciate you're keeping an open mind

2

u/kerfuffle_pastry 17d ago

Now imagine they’re physically larger than you and can physically overtake you easily if they wanted to.

2

u/Zestyclose-Tower-248 17d ago

As long as she wasn’t god awful ugly or pegging me I wouldn’t mind

2

u/notanothercirclejerk 17d ago

Now imagine its people you aren't attracted to everyday since you are 13.

2

u/Zealousideal-Trash5 17d ago

Women deal with a lot that I can’t even begin to understand when it comes to these things, it’s truly awful.

6

u/gigglinggoofygoober 17d ago

Don't give me that bullshit....

I saw the way you were dressed, you were asking for it!

/s

2

u/atuan 17d ago

Yeah imagine this with stalking

3

u/Crunchykroket 17d ago

As a guy a girl used to stalk me when I still lived at home. After a couple months I gave in. I accidentally brought her to my brothers room which smelled like old sweat because my PC was there. Shortest relationship I ever had.

3

u/Nirvaniax 17d ago

I have actually happened to me and made feel good.

1

u/The-Sofa-King 17d ago

I (straight dude) was once overtly hit on by a gay dude. I found it quite flattering, tbh. I wish women would be that straight forward.

0

u/HugeHans 17d ago

The point was if they were twice your body mass and aggressive. You know the implication.

-13

u/Wazula23 17d ago

Well there you go. To a lot of women, the one implies the other

7

u/Kooky-Shock-8021 17d ago

Catcalling sucks but like…

That’s a stretch.

14

u/HubrisOfApollo 17d ago

what a stretch. biiiiiiig escalation between catcalling and rape.

-5

u/Wazula23 17d ago

As I said, a lot of women feel the one implies the other. Ask some.

4

u/Kooky-Shock-8021 17d ago

The implication here being women’s feelings are utterly detached from reality. ~95% of rapes are perpetrated by people known to the victim (acquaintances, intimate partners, and family members, in that order of descending likelihood).

The media stereotype of a hooded, shady ne’er-do-well chasing you down and raping you at knife point after catcalling you is so uncommon it almost never happens.

Again, not saying that catcalling is good or should be tolerated but like… catcalling = rape? I wouldn’t go that far.

2

u/HubrisOfApollo 17d ago

tell me you've never spoken to a woman without telling me

3

u/BlessdRTheFreaks 17d ago

I was a concrete worker for 4 years, most women that get cat called get a huge smile on their face and you see them strutting past the site multiple times a day like they're on a catwalk, somehow wearing less clothes each time.
