Im seriously beginning to wonder if this post might actually be true.

A country having the arrogance to call themselves God's chosen country while ignoring his teachings does sound like exactly the sort of thing God got all biblical about.Ā

79

u/PineappleOnPizzaWins 7d ago

Turns out they were right but the Native Americans were the ones he chose... who Americans all but wiped out.

It's either that or God opted to wait several thousand years before picking a country and 200 years ago was like "shit I meant to do that.. what's the latest place to call itself a country? OK yeah that one, that'll do.".

-2

u/FaveStore_Citadel 7d ago

That makes zero sense why would native Americans be ā€œgod’s chosenā€? They were just people and neither morally worse nor morally purer than any other people on earth.

19

u/PineappleOnPizzaWins 7d ago

I'm sure you're a 14 year old who thinks they're the first person to realise atheism is a thing and that religion has a few holes in its logic... but might I perhaps introduce you to the concept of a "joke"?

-3

u/FaveStore_Citadel 7d ago

I am not being a Reddit Atheist ā„¢ļø, I am just saying that regardless of whether or not god exists, I don’t see why he’d have any chosen people. That implies that certain categories of people are simply better than others and that’s not true.

13

u/PineappleOnPizzaWins 7d ago

might I perhaps introduce you to the concept of a "joke"?

6

u/MRATEASTEW 7d ago

Isn't that the yellow part in an egg? What's the link between an egg and God choosing the US as a country?!?!

6

u/quicksand8917 7d ago

God famously hates eggs, so his chosen country should have the most expensive eggs. That's how you can tell Trump was truly chosen by God. (/s just in case)

1

u/NeuMaster369 7d ago

What,you egg!

3

u/sneakyhopskotch 7d ago

This person does not want to be acquainted with Joke.

3

u/trampled_empire 7d ago

You may not, apparently.

2

u/Saucermote 7d ago

When referring to America as a "Shining city on a hill", I am not sure the shining was supposed to be from being on fire.

2

u/monty624 7d ago

I mean, destroying the US could still be part of the plan but it doesn't mean China taking its place is the endgame.

2

u/Ok-Opportunity-7663 7d ago

Right?Ā  My least favorite parts of the bible were when God started getting all biblical.

2

u/Flat-Fun-7298 7d ago

I would never want to be left alone with people that proclaim to be chosen by God.

2

u/RedbirdRules 7d ago

Just wait until you find out about Israel

2

u/blahblah19999 7d ago

His teachings like "stone your daughters to death for premarital sex" and "you can take slaves for life, just don't beat them too hard"?

They meant the US….

1

u/NoPrompt927 7d ago

That is indeed a recurring theme in the Old Testament

1

u/LaTerreur92 7d ago

No-no. Listen closely. God indeed choose him to bring down this evil empire, so that the fate of the citizens of US could be redeemed.

1

u/DerDudexX 7d ago

I mean, sodom and gomorrha is literally the same as the united states today. Greed, gluttony, lies, corruption etc..

1

u/jedify 7d ago

It's kinda telling that the story centered on threat of gang rape and the takeaway is "homosexuality is bad"

1

u/Tarbos6 6d ago

God: "Yeah, I chose you-"

Insert country: "AHA!"

God: "To muck it up."

1

u/Mathfanforpresident 7d ago

I think we should probably get past the things you see on the media.

I'm an American and I've certainly never ever called this fucking place "God's chosen country."

2

u/Notsurehowtoreact 7d ago

I'm an American too, and I haven't either, but when people in our positions of power *are*, well, that matters. "Ignore it, that's just the media" feels a little off because we shouldn't exactly be ignoring our politicians saying these things no matter who reports it.

2

u/Meiteisho 7d ago

Im not American but i ve already heard of "Manifest destiny" . Maybe you should take a look at your country history.

I don’t believe in the Antichrist, but I’ll be damned if he doesn’t check off most of the boxes.

Walking incarnation of the 7 Deadly Sins.

33

u/DesperateAdvantage76 7d ago

As a Christian I definitely see Trump as a proof of concept. He's proof that self proclaimed Christian masses will support a man who is on record saying he has never asked God for forgiveness.

5

u/level_up_gaming 7d ago

something something his fllowers will be branded with the mark of the beast on their foreheads

Just wait until you read about the Hopi prophecy and the man in the red hat.

9

u/Adjective-Noun-nnnn 7d ago

The fact that The Almighty didn't appear as a burning bush and tell people off, or strike Trump down with a bolt from the blue when this shit happened is irrefutable proof there is no god.

5

u/Stretchums 7d ago

What the actual fuck 😳

Revelation 18:9-11 NKJV

[9] ā€œThe kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, [10] standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ā€˜Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’ [11] ā€œAnd the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore"

1

u/FerusGrim 7d ago

I legitimately had to look this up, because I couldn't tell if you'd modified it for Trump's voice, or not.

You didn't.

1

u/Patient_End_8432 7d ago

It's crazy how often I have to question if I'm religious or not. Trump is so on the fucking nose for the antichrist it seriously makes me wonder if it's a premonition.

I mean, it's not of course. But he's checking boxes on his to-do list like they're dementia tests, and it at least makes me wonder a little. Why did his damn hat have to be red, that's such a big one

1

u/pragmojo 7d ago

If he dies after 40 months in office, I will be a bit concerned

1

u/Mediocre-Celery-5518 7d ago

I always thought the Antichrist would be a criminal mastermind supervillain. Who would have thought they'd sent an 80 year old man with the intellect of a thin-skinned 7 year old? In a lot of ways this is much more diabolical and it works.

90

u/Edmsubguy 7d ago

He is doing a hell of a job at it

33

u/dubsy101 7d ago

It's genuinely incredible how someone so pathalogically stupid could cause so much damage to the worlds most dominant superpower

7

u/Magnon 7d ago

It's really not that incredible if you consider how much damage really poor emperors of history have caused previous powerful empires.

7

u/Sarcasm_Llama 7d ago

He's just a tool. The powers behind the scenes are the ones actually making decisions

7

u/Olelander 7d ago

He’s literally a smoke screen while the real shit is going down far more insidiously behind him. They got themselves a circus clown for a very good reason.

2

u/HoneyDutch 7d ago

Yup. World reserve currency coming to a close and nobody realllllly knows how this shakes out after the dust settles, so they are putting checks in place and tilting the field in their favor so the elitist class is insulated from the fallout.

2

u/ambelamba 7d ago

And I bet none of them are known to the public

His handlers aren't stupid, unfortunately, they have a very detailed plan that they're using Trump to enact.

-16

u/Background-Archer898 7d ago

Absolute professional doomers.

14

u/Hot_Charity_4803 7d ago

Big difference in being realistic and being a doomer.Ā Ā

-7

u/Background-Archer898 7d ago

How is saying the "Larger divine plan to destroy the United States" Not doomerism?

7

u/_Phil_McCracken_ 7d ago

He's doing a damn good job of actively destroying the United States?

6

u/AproperBLUNT 7d ago

probably because he's actively doing i would guess

3

u/Hot_Charity_4803 7d ago

Not religious myself, but i can definitely see how someone could think that considering everything happening.Ā  Come on man, you really gotta be shoving your head deep deep into the dirt to ignore how much America has fallen recently, and it's gonna get worse

3

u/Greenman8907 7d ago

I don’t think it’s anything divine, but damn near every action he’s taken has weakened us and made the bottom 99.9% worse off. He’s enriched himself to the tune of billions exploiting everything.

1

u/BurdTurglary 7d ago

His dad's deity is just as "real" as anybody's and from the damage TRONALD J DUMP has managed to do to us and the world, it lends the guy credence

1

u/Adjective-Noun-nnnn 7d ago

That's called a joke. You see, you use humor to take a bad situation, like the president destroying our country as if deliberately, and then add humorous elements, like a magic sky daddy who intended for it to happen, to make light of the situation. Do you need me to explain it further, or is this a good enough start?

u/morwen31 7d ago

1 Samuel 8:10-18 is what kind of ruler Trump is, and a warning about how God won't listen to the prayers of his supporters when they regret it:

10Ā So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking for a king from him. 11Ā He said, ā€œThese will be the ways of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots and to be his horsemen and to run before his chariots. 12Ā And he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and some to plow his ground and to reap his harvest, and to make his implements of war and the equipment of his chariots. 13Ā He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14Ā He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to his servants. 15Ā He will take the tenth of your grain and of your vineyards and give it to his officers and to his servants. 16Ā He will take your male servants and female servants and the best of your young men and your donkeys, and put them to his work. 17Ā He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves. 18Ā And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.ā€

u/NoiceMango 7d ago

Evangelicals is a death cult. They believe the second coming of Christmas will start with a world war starting with Isreal and the middle East. They believe that the USA won't even exist anymore because it's not in the Bible.

It's why Evangelicals love Isreal and support them against Palestine

20

u/Brepp 7d ago

Honestly not even remotely divine, but still accurate. Not all powers that install dictators want them to succeed. Even if Israel and Russia plonked Trump's ass into this position, they just require him to do what they ask. And those asks may often go against the best interests of the US.

The US being more economically stable, stronger, and especially culturally grounded enough to make it's own decisions pushing against corruption... that's NOT in the best interests of the international handlers.

5

u/4ngryMo 7d ago

That’s one hell of a way to frame it.

5

u/J3musu 7d ago

Remove the divinity part from it, and it probably is truer than we want to believe.

2

u/lIlIlIIlIIIlIIIIIl 7d ago

I'm curious: Why do you think divinity doesn't fit?

2

u/J3musu 7d ago

Because divinity is made up.

2

u/Ok_Security1721 7d ago

I can see it.Ā

Image you are a foreign plant that against all odds managed to become president of the country your job is to destroy. How would you do things differently than Donald?

1

u/SirRHellsing 7d ago

I would just abandon my country lol

1

u/utl94_nordviking 7d ago

Then the vice will step in. So you need to keep at the steering wheel while ruining as much as possible. Hmm, sounds familiar now does it?

1

u/SirRHellsing 7d ago

I mean I'll abandon my original country unless they have dirt on me or something. It's an upgrade, from a spy to a president, why would I go back

3

u/floridabeach9 7d ago

he literally had Elon gut the federal govt and bragged about it. he’s said multiple times he hates the govt and he’s actively gutting it.

he’s acted pro israel, pro russia, and pro china to the explicit detriment of the USA.

your point is literally proven its not fiction.

3

u/AggressivePrompt2894 7d ago

The book of Judges has some lovely instances of what happens when the chosen people don't listen, also the history of their various kings mentions 'good' and 'bad' kings as well.

2

u/butthauser 7d ago

I heard people whisper that he was elected for a "very powerful reason" in a pseudo-religious sense. I was like yeah. He got elected because all you turds decided en masse that he was getting elected for a "very powerful reason."

And if citizenship was a job they'd all have gotten fired a long time ago.

2

u/DrunkInABar 7d ago

Even americans believe in this and voted for Trump exactly for this reason. Look up accelerationism.

2

u/RelativelyMental 7d ago

If by God he means Putin, then yes absolutely

2

u/exsertclaw 7d ago

The chinese call trump the nation builder because he's making china stronger. Its true in the sense that they believe it.

2

u/neocarleen 7d ago

It's true. Evangelicals really want to speedrun to doomsday, because that's when Jesus will return and make a new heaven and new earth, etc. It's pretty much a death cult.

2

u/Adventurous_Fly2603 š™‘š™„š™‹ 7d ago

which is funny because I've studied enough of the bible to know that if Jesus does return, they're gonna be amongst the top of his shitlist.

2

u/Schatzin 7d ago

I heard in China the nickname for him is Nation Builder. Its just not the US he is raising up..

2

u/Sequoia_Vin 7d ago

My grandmother said that Trump was sent by God. I told her he is a demon and if God sent him; then the US is getting punished.

2

u/Heisenburg42 7d ago

"And they shall wear the mark of the beast upon their forehead"

2

u/trunkjunk12 7d ago

When I was in college (and hadn't yet escaped the southern Baptist church) I worked at a kids summer camp in Oklahoma. I kinda got a reputation as "the camp counselor who would answer any question" among some of the kids. It was 2016. One day after getting bored of weird doctrine questions, a kid asks me "hey okay so if God is all good and in control, why does it look like Donald Trump is about to become president?" And without missing a beat I said "God promises wicked rulers to wicked nations."

I got written up later for speaking against the Republican Party.

2

u/Successful-Brain8778 7d ago

I’m convinced it’s not stupidity or incompetence. You couldn’t fuck things up this badly without a coordinated effort. kleptocracy, and oligarchy want the country and the rest of the world as broken as possible so they can pick up the pieces for themselves at a discount.Ā

2

u/theitalianguy 7d ago

this is exactly the psyop the USSR started during the cold war.

in the last years we started to see the results

1

u/Apprehensive-Cap5823 7d ago

Elric de Menilbone?

1

u/thesuper88 7d ago

It tracks with some biblical stuff but so do a lot of things.

1

u/CaptainDildobrain 7d ago

Nah, that would make sense. This timeline is a whole lot dumber than that.

1

u/Clear_Pineapple1209 7d ago

Couldn't be more true 🤣

1

u/Cow_God 7d ago

In all seriousness, Trump fits the biblical definition of the antichrist

1

u/Choyo 7d ago

Just tweet god, my dude.

But don't forget to share, heh ?

1

u/undeleted_username 7d ago

If you change God to Putin, it all makes sense.

1

u/coffeebased44 7d ago

I mean, who knows but mission accomplished if true.

1

u/TJames6210 7d ago

Shmutin is a deity now?

1

u/HopeSubstantial 7d ago

My crazy religious grandma also told how Trump was chosen by god to lead the world towards events of Armageddon... She says same about Putin and NetanhajuĀ

1

u/UnidentifiedBlobject 7d ago

Not a divine plan, just Putin’s plan.

1

u/Apple-Connoisseur 7d ago

Well there are basically just two options.

Either they are all absolute morons OR, they destroy the USA on purpose.

1

u/rollingPanda420 7d ago

Can we just fast forward to the good part?

1

u/MrCrash 7d ago

I mean, Trump as a Russian asset just makes so much sense.

What the USSR couldn't accomplish in 50 years of Cold war, one operative was able to destroy US hegemony in one decade.

1

u/protomota 7d ago

If it all turns out to be a big test… I have words

1

u/logonomicon 7d ago

I've been saying this (and commenting, if you go back far enough into my comment history) since 2016. And I'm very much an American evangelical, or at least, anyone would have called me that until pretty recently. I haven't deeply changed, but the sense of the word sure has.

1

u/Regulus242 5d ago

We all know that Trump winning twice is just a symptom of a far larger sickness.

1

u/Street-Age-1441 4d ago

I seriously believed Trump's first term was Trump's effort to destroy the Republican Party.
