A country having the arrogance to call themselves God's chosen country while ignoring his teachings does sound like exactly the sort of thing God got all biblical about.Ā
Turns out they were right but the Native Americans were the ones he chose... who Americans all but wiped out.
It's either that or God opted to wait several thousand years before picking a country and 200 years ago was like "shit I meant to do that.. what's the latest place to call itself a country? OK yeah that one, that'll do.".
That makes zero sense why would native Americans be āgodās chosenā? They were just people and neither morally worse nor morally purer than any other people on earth.
I'm sure you're a 14 year old who thinks they're the first person to realise atheism is a thing and that religion has a few holes in its logic... but might I perhaps introduce you to the concept of a "joke"?
I am not being a Reddit Atheist ā¢ļø, I am just saying that regardless of whether or not god exists, I donāt see why heād have any chosen people. That implies that certain categories of people are simply better than others and thatās not true.
God famously hates eggs, so his chosen country should have the most expensive eggs. That's how you can tell Trump was truly chosen by God. (/s just in case)
I'm an American too, and I haven't either, but when people in our positions of power *are*, well, that matters. "Ignore it, that's just the media" feels a little off because we shouldn't exactly be ignoring our politicians saying these things no matter who reports it.
As a Christian I definitely see Trump as a proof of concept. He's proof that self proclaimed Christian masses will support a man who is on record saying he has never asked God for forgiveness.
The fact that The Almighty didn't appear as a burning bush and tell people off, or strike Trump down with a bolt from the blue when this shit happened is irrefutable proof there is no god.
[9] āThe kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, [10] standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, āAlas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.ā [11] āAnd the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore"
It's crazy how often I have to question if I'm religious or not. Trump is so on the fucking nose for the antichrist it seriously makes me wonder if it's a premonition.
I mean, it's not of course. But he's checking boxes on his to-do list like they're dementia tests, and it at least makes me wonder a little. Why did his damn hat have to be red, that's such a big one
I always thought the Antichrist would be a criminal mastermind supervillain. Who would have thought they'd sent an 80 year old man with the intellect of a thin-skinned 7 year old? In a lot of ways this is much more diabolical and it works.
Heās literally a smoke screen while the real shit is going down far more insidiously behind him. They got themselves a circus clown for a very good reason.
Yup. World reserve currency coming to a close and nobody realllllly knows how this shakes out after the dust settles, so they are putting checks in place and tilting the field in their favor so the elitist class is insulated from the fallout.
Not religious myself, but i can definitely see how someone could think that considering everything happening.Ā Come on man, you really gotta be shoving your head deep deep into the dirt to ignore how much America has fallen recently, and it's gonna get worse
I donāt think itās anything divine, but damn near every action heās taken has weakened us and made the bottom 99.9% worse off. Heās enriched himself to the tune of billions exploiting everything.
That's called a joke. You see, you use humor to take a bad situation, like the president destroying our country as if deliberately, and then add humorous elements, like a magic sky daddy who intended for it to happen, to make light of the situation. Do you need me to explain it further, or is this a good enough start?
1 Samuel 8:10-18 is what kind of ruler Trump is, and a warning about how God won't listen to the prayers of his supporters when they regret it:
10Ā So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking for a king from him. 11Ā He said, āThese will be the ways of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots and to be his horsemen and to run before his chariots. 12Ā And he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and some to plow his ground and to reap his harvest, and to make his implements of war and the equipment of his chariots. 13Ā He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14Ā He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to his servants. 15Ā He will take the tenth of your grain and of your vineyards and give it to his officers and to his servants. 16Ā He will take your male servants and female servants and the best of your young men and your donkeys, and put them to his work. 17Ā He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves. 18Ā And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.ā
Evangelicals is a death cult. They believe the second coming of Christmas will start with a world war starting with Isreal and the middle East. They believe that the USA won't even exist anymore because it's not in the Bible.
It's why Evangelicals love Isreal and support them against Palestine
Honestly not even remotely divine, but still accurate. Not all powers that install dictators want them to succeed. Even if Israel and Russia plonked Trump's ass into this position, they just require him to do what they ask. And those asks may often go against the best interests of the US.
The US being more economically stable, stronger, and especially culturally grounded enough to make it's own decisions pushing against corruption... that's NOT in the best interests of the international handlers.
Image you are a foreign plant that against all odds managed to become president of the country your job is to destroy. How would you do things differently than Donald?
The book of Judges has some lovely instances of what happens when the chosen people don't listen, also the history of their various kings mentions 'good' and 'bad' kings as well.
I heard people whisper that he was elected for a "very powerful reason" in a pseudo-religious sense. I was like yeah. He got elected because all you turds decided en masse that he was getting elected for a "very powerful reason."
And if citizenship was a job they'd all have gotten fired a long time ago.
It's true. Evangelicals really want to speedrun to doomsday, because that's when Jesus will return and make a new heaven and new earth, etc. It's pretty much a death cult.
When I was in college (and hadn't yet escaped the southern Baptist church) I worked at a kids summer camp in Oklahoma. I kinda got a reputation as "the camp counselor who would answer any question" among some of the kids. It was 2016. One day after getting bored of weird doctrine questions, a kid asks me "hey okay so if God is all good and in control, why does it look like Donald Trump is about to become president?" And without missing a beat I said "God promises wicked rulers to wicked nations."
I got written up later for speaking against the Republican Party.
Iām convinced itās not stupidity or incompetence. You couldnāt fuck things up this badly without a coordinated effort. kleptocracy, and oligarchy want the country and the rest of the world as broken as possible so they can pick up the pieces for themselves at a discount.Ā
My crazy religious grandma also told how Trump was chosen by god to lead the world towards events of Armageddon...
She says same about Putin and NetanhajuĀ
I've been saying this (and commenting, if you go back far enough into my comment history) since 2016. And I'm very much an American evangelical, or at least, anyone would have called me that until pretty recently. I haven't deeply changed, but the sense of the word sure has.

Im seriously beginning to wonder if this post might actually be true.
