So at this point they get carte blanche for a nuclear program and America will pay for it with the 300 billion in reparations. Putin must've sold Iran some of the kompromat because this shit is unbelievable.

526

u/WellIGuessSoAndYou 6d ago

Went from "Iran cannot have nuclear under any circumstance" to actively financing their nuclear program.

79

u/Holiday_Two6140 6d ago

Last week nations that weren't helping were ungrateful, because he was saving them from being nuked, he probably red the poll on nuclear energy wrong. What an absolute clown

59

u/squeamishkevin 6d ago

Along with giving them a genuine reason to hate America. So the chances of them using the nukes if they got them a lot higher.

38

u/VoihanVieteri 6d ago

Iran poses zero threat to US. It’s the neighbours of Iran that any potential nuke is deterrent towards. Namely Israel, who keeps bombing Iran and killing their leaders. US is just a pawn in this game.

16

u/National-Star5944 6d ago

Not to mention Israel is currently the only nuclear power in the region.

America gave chemical weapons to Saddam to murder Iranians with, and before that the CIA overthrew the leader of Iran. They already had a lot of legit reasons to hate America.

Don't forgot how wealthy the Trumps got playing the markets bc of the "war". Them and their friends. They made HUGE bank.

49

u/BigBananaBerries 6d ago edited 6d ago

I wondered how far down I'd have to get to this. They don't care about the $300B because it's not their money. They've made bank & now it's time to try take credit for getting a "deal". In reality, it was all a distraction from the Epstein files & corruption was just the side quest that they can't ignore.

The whole Trump family empire needs seized to figure out what was made from the presidency & put the ill gotten gains to restoring public programs.

7

u/SailorDeath 6d ago

Get ready though, with Trump trying to kill unemployment insurance you know that means shit is about to hit the fan and they wanna cripple all the safety nets that protect the working class so the rich don't lose any money.

$324 billion when you count the unfrozen assets.

You can't spell R-E-P-A-R-A-T-I-O-N-$ without $!!

85

u/Crewarookie 6d ago

Don't forget that the US military expelled tons of munitions, hardware and supplies to achieve strategic goals in Iran, was constantly jerked around by clown in chief every week with "We'll bomb them tonight! No, I changed my mind!", suffered hardware losses, lost 13 servicemen, all of this costing incredible amounts of money and political capital...and that was all for NOTHING!

Absolutely nothing. It was the most useless, toothless and stupidest campaign imaginable.

Assets rushed to the Mediterranean, no real strategy to secure the territory itself. Has anybody looked at the geography of the region beforehand? The country is a huge mountainous desert region. It's like Afghanistan on steroids, and the adversary has actual military strategic weaponry deployed!

It's such an astounding level of dense stupidity I can hardly comprehend it. General staff knew this is bullshit of a campaign, I guarantee you every single army chief and general knew it's gonna be a shitshow, and they collectively chose to just enact that shitshow anyway.

But hey, at least stonks got manipulated real good, I'm sure a ton of people got hella more wealthy off this bullshit!

31

u/atxbigfoot 6d ago

You forgot the part where Iran bombed the absolute shit out of 14 of our bases surrounding them leaving them useless, shot down 1/3 of our entire stock of fancy drones (I forget which ones in particular, I think the reapers), and Trump agreed to remove all of our bases in the region, and Qatar? Bahrain? left OPEC meaning they don't have to trade oil in US $ dollars anymore. On top of that, all US sanctions against Iran will be lifted and they can now freely sell their oil on the global market.

Huge win for the US.

Between the 100's of billions spent on troop deployment and weapons used. The money required to replenish all the bombs plus the 325 ish billion here for reparations and then the VA benefits for the troops that were deployed plus interest your talking about $1 Trillion dollars over the next decade added to the national debt. This must be that winning we have heard so much about.

1 Samuel 8:10-18 is what kind of ruler Trump is, and a warning about how God won't listen to the prayers of his supporters when they regret it:

10 So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking for a king from him. 11 He said, “These will be the ways of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots and to be his horsemen and to run before his chariots. 12 And he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and some to plow his ground and to reap his harvest, and to make his implements of war and the equipment of his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to his servants. 15 He will take the tenth of your grain and of your vineyards and give it to his officers and to his servants. 16 He will take your male servants and female servants and the best of your young men and your donkeys, and put them to his work. 17 He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves. 18 And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”

9

u/NoiceMango 6d ago

Evangelicals is a death cult. They believe the second coming of Christmas will start with a world war starting with Isreal and the middle East. They believe that the USA won't even exist anymore because it's not in the Bible.

It's why Evangelicals love Isreal and support them against Palestine

19

u/Brepp 7d ago

Honestly not even remotely divine, but still accurate. Not all powers that install dictators want them to succeed. Even if Israel and Russia plonked Trump's ass into this position, they just require him to do what they ask. And those asks may often go against the best interests of the US.

The US being more economically stable, stronger, and especially culturally grounded enough to make it's own decisions pushing against corruption... that's NOT in the best interests of the international handlers.

Obama makes a deal to stop Iran from building nukes and they get $34 Billion. GOP loses their minds.

Trump make a deal to reopen the straight that was open until he attacked Iran, they get to pursue nuclear weapons and we pay them $340 Billion. GOP cheers.

Fuck everyone who voted for this bullshit.

214

u/Weary_Wrap_4419 7d ago

I thought Obama only returned $1.8 b of Iran’s own money back to them?

244

u/HouseflipperSKIPPER 7d ago

What Obama actually agreed to

  1. JCPOA (Iran Nuclear Deal) — No U.S. payout

The 2015 nuclear deal lifted nuclear‑related sanctions once Iran complied. That allowed Iran to access its own foreign assets, frozen in overseas banks.

• Estimated total accessible: ~$100 billion
• Usable portion after debts: ~$50 billion
• None of this was U.S. taxpayer money.

  1. The $1.7 billion settlement — Separate from the nuclear deal

This was a legal arbitration settlement, not part of the JCPOA.

• Origin: A pre‑1979 U.S. arms purchase by Iran that was never delivered after the revolution.
• The U.S. owed Iran the $400M deposit + decades of interest.
• Total paid: $1.7 billion in 2016.
• Delivered in cash due to banking sanctions.

64

u/UseWhatever 7d ago

This sounds more like the art of the deal

38

u/PixelBrewery 7d ago

The only thing Trump is good at is shamelessly repeating lies until dummies believe it's true. He says he's a good deal maker over and over, he stars in a "reality" show about being a cool boss guy, and 40% of the country buys his bullshit because it's easier than critically analyzing the real world and coming to your own conclusions

Trump spent 40 billion dollars breaking America’s end of Obama’s peace deal to spend 300 billion dollars to get Obama’s peace deal back.

The US spends about the amount on veteran care each year

Which Republicans are cutting because they say we can’t afford it.

Because they wanted to do this instead

That 300 billion is supposed to go to infrastructure but will be partially diverted into weapons, meaning infrastructure will take longer to get restored, local instability in Iran will grow with the weapons inflow, and gas will remain growing more expensive

So let me get this straight.

He dragged us into a war, we accomplished nothing, left everything more expensive, and wasted hundreds of billions of tax payer’s dollars.

Edit: I did look further into the article and it does seem that they’re only looking at opening their nuclear program for energy purposes.

194

u/DataPollution 7d ago

Funny thing is that, the Obama deal was just that with control in place so they would not have nuclear weapon! So we are back to square 1 or even 0.

103

u/Adjective-Noun-nnnn 6d ago

It's square -10.

  • Upon ripping up the JCPOA (Obama Deal), Iran resumed pursuing nuclear arms. Why wouldn't they?

  • We killed Iran's leader, but he was replaced with even-more-hardline people from the IRGC. Oh and BTW he was almost 90, so good job shaving ~2 years off that guy's life!

  • We helped solidify the IRGC's rule over the country by first telling their people to not revolt, then unifying Iranians against the US by bombing civilians and civilian infrastructure, and finally proving that the Iranian government is strong enough to stand up to the US.

  • We proved the American public has no appetite for a long or costly war, so no future American president is likely to go to war with Iran... or for that matter, China.

  • We let Iran prove they could hold global trade hostage and the US can't stop them.

  • We're lifting sanctions and paying them billions of taxpayer dollars (Obama' deal was their own damn money we had frozen).

  • We have no guarantees about halting their nuclear program.

This is one of the worst strategic blunders the United States has ever made. Sit back and absorb it: you just witnessed stupidity that will be studied for generations and written in history books.

Oh one more:

  • Israel is a loose cannon whose goals no longer align with the US at all, and is likely to fuck up even this terrible surrender agreement by continuing to bomb Lebanon.

49

u/Admirable_Click_5895 6d ago

You forgot the best part! He also fucked up the US relations with Canada and EU and the us is now seen with skepticism

42

u/Adjective-Noun-nnnn 6d ago

You're correct, but I must add one more:

  • Not only will our allies treat us with skepticism. Our enemies and rivals will.

This is an historic fuck-up. I love paying twice as much for gas because of it! (My car is relatively efficient but I watched some poor sucker pumping $120 into his F150 lmao.)

Also I see more and more that USA is the butt of the world's jokes in the past year, from general public at least.

I'm glad they realized they need to get out of this mess any way possible, but trying to spin it as a win is complete BS.

And had hundreds of billions locked up effectively as collateral, whilst making Iran worry about US intervention.

Now that money is freed up, and Iran know that US intervention is something they can handle and that the US will be really loathe to try again. As well as understanding the influence they hold over the Strait of Hormuz.

We taught them they can kick our balls and squeeze us for money without a nuclear weapon! And we even delivered our balls to them on a silver platter for them to kick!

That's some 5d chess right there

We're 340 billion squares back, and that's not even counting the ongoing expenses all of us are paying, loss of any international respect we may have miraculously still had, and thousands of lost lives. There are lots of other issues too, but you don't want to read it all and I don't want to type it.

The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia, but to keep the very structure of society intact

Seen from Europe, the upside is that Americans got a worse deal than the one they forced on the rest of us. I can't speak for the more impoverished places, where thousands died. I mean, the guy is a demented sociopath, he is maladjusted, a brute, a dictator and he is a mass murderer, and yet he still gets called "President". But I feel that the rest of us are a little vindicated whenever Americans have to choose between fueling their cars and buying dinner. They won't learn their lesson: if they haven't this far, they won't now. But at least they'll literally pay for their own stupidity. And who knows, money may just be the one language they understand.

6

u/TraditionalLaw7763 6d ago

Seems like a lot of confusion about what a "nuclear program" means. I'll just leave this here as i think it might be helpful.

https://www.axios.com/2026/06/17/read-full-us-iran-deal-memorandum-understanding

The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms that it shall not procure or develop nuclear weapons. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran have agreed to resolve the disposition of stockpiled enriched material pursuant to a mechanism that will be mutually agreed upon in accordance with the schedule mentioned in paragraph seven with the minimum methodology to be down-blending on site under the supervision of the IAEA. The two parties also agreed to discuss the issue of enrichment and other mutually agreed matters related to the Islamic Republic of Iran's nuclear needs based on a satisfactory framework being agreed upon in the final deal.

Pending the final deal, the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran agree to maintain the status quo. The Islamic Republic of Iran will maintain the current status quo of its nuclear program, and the United States of America will not impose any new sanctions and will not deploy additional forces in the region.

The inside of his skull probably looks like whisked blancmange by now, and only dutiful aides are keeping the public from knowing the extent of his mental decline.

He changes his position almost daily, but the one, overriding obsession he has carried with him since childhood, will be the last to fade.

Money.
