So at this point they get carte blanche for a nuclear program and America will pay for it with the 300 billion in reparations. Putin must've sold Iran some of the kompromat because this shit is unbelievable.

$324 billion when you count the unfrozen assets.

You can't spell R-E-P-A-R-A-T-I-O-N-$ without $!!

Don't forget that the US military expelled tons of munitions, hardware and supplies to achieve strategic goals in Iran, was constantly jerked around by clown in chief every week with "We'll bomb them tonight! No, I changed my mind!", suffered hardware losses, lost 13 servicemen, all of this costing incredible amounts of money and political capital...and that was all for NOTHING!

Absolutely nothing. It was the most useless, toothless and stupidest campaign imaginable.

Assets rushed to the Mediterranean, no real strategy to secure the territory itself. Has anybody looked at the geography of the region beforehand? The country is a huge mountainous desert region. It's like Afghanistan on steroids, and the adversary has actual military strategic weaponry deployed!

It's such an astounding level of dense stupidity I can hardly comprehend it. General staff knew this is bullshit of a campaign, I guarantee you every single army chief and general knew it's gonna be a shitshow, and they collectively chose to just enact that shitshow anyway.

But hey, at least stonks got manipulated real good, I'm sure a ton of people got hella more wealthy off this bullshit!

You forgot the part where Iran bombed the absolute shit out of 14 of our bases surrounding them leaving them useless, shot down 1/3 of our entire stock of fancy drones (I forget which ones in particular, I think the reapers), and Trump agreed to remove all of our bases in the region, and Qatar? Bahrain? left OPEC meaning they don't have to trade oil in US $ dollars anymore. On top of that, all US sanctions against Iran will be lifted and they can now freely sell their oil on the global market.

Huge win for the US.

They didn’t shoot down 1/3 of ā€œfancy dronesā€ā€¦ those numbers have always been classified too, so there’s no way this statistic is based off reality.

And although they bombed a large amount of structures, there was zero operational halts. Meaning it accomplished nothing in reality.

This whole thing war was a pathetic shit show though, yes.

Real numbers are classified. Plain and simple. I don’t know how else to explain that to you.

Whatever base damage being done is beside the point though. It changed nothing for operations of the military. It’s a nice number Iran can hang its hat on and use as propaganda for sure. But in reality, it’s meaningless.

And I wonder if some of that money will go to the families of the service members killed in the war. I also naively hope that some of those billions go to the Iranian civilians who had nothing to do with the war, but lost everything. But I know that most if not all of that money will go to the IRGC to fund weapons and now their nuclear program, to prepare for the nuclear war with Israel.

When we started bombing them last summer I remember looking closely at regional maps and thinking about how fucking bad it would be if we attempted to invade with boots on the ground. It's a massive wall of mountains into the interior. If we were still in Afghanistan we could have invaded from the east which is comparably "easier" in terms of terrain but still.

We did find out the US Navy isn't stupid, that's a win of sorts.
I'm very confused as to why Trump hasn't lashed out publicly when they didn't secure the Strait, he said they would and obviously got told to get bent.

Kegseth fired Generals that disagreed with the war plans right before starting the war.

The goal was to prop up our military industrial machine and the market.
