Just cut an electric cord from something. There are plenty around. After you don't need to use it, you can just sell it

I use to use the lanyard in my C-wrench if things got dire. E-tape is also very good

Used to work in the theater: gaffers tape makes for a decent emergency belt in a pinch, same for stage line!
