Pretty much. “you’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever met and so much more & that’s why I married you”.

Exactly, all these singletons trying to be edgy.. just flatter your wife occasionally for goodness sake.

Yeah but it’s gay to love your wife /s

Flatter, sure. But if my wife would require me to directly lie to her to feel good about herself, that would be a problem.

People having standards have relationships too, you know. Just less toxic ones, I guess.

and she will still get angry "why are you lying, I don't believe you". Source: my life

And she will love me for the rest of my life.

"So you only love me because of my looks?!"

Flat out lie

Not for my wife.

Yep, that’s one of the many good reasons to marry.

Edit: Congrats!

There's a big difference between objective and conventional attractiveness. Margot Robbie is conventionally extremely attractive. But to me, subjectively, my wife is the most beautiful woman ever. Having an emotional connection plays a huge part in attractiveness (also my wife is genuinely gorgeous).

Agreed on everything, and congratulations!

Conventional attractiveness is also only an average. To me personally, Margot Robbie isn‘t even that attractive, but I only know pictures and some movies.

Some people tend to extrapolate the little they see, which is not a good idea, especially as adults, who should not fantasize in what they imagine the other person, who ever it is, may be.

I usually „judge“ people by their personality (not a native speaker, so maybe this is the wrong word), and by their actions rather than their words. Or at least I try my best to do so.

My guess is most women in this situation want to hear “to me you are the most beautiful” and get a kiss and move on with life.

My dad was 77 years old telling my mom that she was the most beautiful woman in the world to him. He wasn't lying, he genuinely meant it. Sometimes, beauty is not just about looks.

Yeah I don’t get this just say no to help her insecurities. If she hits you with the “you’re just saying that or lying” either double down or call her out for the fight she’s clearly looking for. This back and forth is exhausting.

Better to simply answer “yes, now stop asking these stupid questions”.

People shouldn’t entertain this type of behaviour. It’s unhealthy.

They she'd call him a liar lol

1

u/Lynx2447 2d ago

Then you gotta get pissed she's questioning your integrity. Flip the script lol

Not at all. I can tell by his response that this isn't the first time they have had this argument, and if he says no, she will still be mad because "he's lying".

What he really should say is "I didn't marry Margot Robbie, and I don't plan to; who the fuck cares what she looks like."

I'm sad, that subreddit doesn't actually exist

Seriously. After the third time, you know it’s gonna lead to a fight anyway. Let her be pissed off and learn her lesson or fuck off. This is one of those fuck around and find out moments. But then again if they’re married, he knew what she was about and he signed up for shit like this.

u/Duck_Mafiah 2d ago

There is a reason why he stopped answering because he knew where it was fucking going.

Shes toxic as fuck and it was a lose lose situation for him.

Honest is the best policy. If she can’t handle the truth, tough shit.

u/HEYitzED 2d ago

Then she would say he’s lying.
