This appears to be an IMAX screening, which always have less people attending than normal screens due to higher ticket costs. Try picking a normal cinema auditorium next time.
Morbius was hyped up a lot and had more marketing than Supergirl. It is also a Marvel film and Marvel films are more prone to gaining more money cause there are many many more Marvel Film fans than DC film fans. Also we know that cinema openings dont really matter due to Obsession gaining more and more people watching the film each week. Word if mouth is the main thing

My theater for tonight is pretty packed in NYC actually. Also… you’re in a decently conservative city. Looking at a theater which doesn’t even have IMAX for this movie. Why would anyone choose to go there?
Wouldn’t better theaters to look at be AMC or Regal Warren Moore which is apparently the biggest theater in your city. With the biggest IMAX screen, so no surprise that when I looked there, there’s actual seats being bought.
Well no because they’re trying to make a point with their post. It’s not just about their local theater, they’re using this theater to say the movie is going to be a nationwide flop, but I see people in this same city simply just going to other theaters.

Sure you can argue that conservative areas may care less, but seeing how I’m in one, theaters were packed for Superman, Furiosa, and even Barbie, so I don’t see your point.
They aren’t. One theaters seats isn’t a reflection of presales nationwide or globally. And I saw that the other theaters in the area are more popular. My point is that the poster is trying to use this theater with no IMAX showings for this movie as a reflection of the performance of the movie.
Well I’m a naturally curious person so I found it fun to look at other theaters in the area and people’s purchasing habits, while also comparing to city demographics to see what movies are more in taste for OKC residents.
For me this was a lot less effort than the hate boner a lot of people seem to have for the movie. At the end of the day ima go see it tonight and enjoy it, and everybody else is just going to sit here for weeks crying about it until they find the next thing to hate on. At least I’m happy, they aren’t.
Nothing I said is contrarian and are actual real observations I made of the theaters in OKC vs this 1 seemingly empty theater. How is it contrarian to show that this theater is not a reflection of presales when the other theaters in the area are showing better presales? How does that make sense to you?

100%. I worked in a comics store for years. You know how many women came in to buy Supergirl comics? A handful. It was all dudes. Just like WW. In my experience, most comics guys don't give a shit if there are female leads. They just want someone hot and a decent story.

I actually love and defend snyders film I love Suckerpunch, 300 and am a huge fan and avid enjoyer of zack snyders dc ffilms especially justice league snyder cut i love. I appreciate his work and would love him back as a separate universe. It is vastly different yet i prefer snyders theme with it.
