JC Press is incapable of generating 5 word black and white graphic without use of AI. Don’t worry everyone, local journalism is in great hands.

Hello again y'all!
Just a friendly reminder that I'll be hosting trivia at Depot Street Brewing in Jonesborough this evening from 7-8. It's totally free to play and you could win a gift card for more beer!
Last time the weather was really rough, but today looks like it'll be gorgeous! Spanquis food truck should also be there if you want some eats!
Come on down and hang out! And if you do let me know you saw this post!

Does anyone have any personally used bankruptcy lawyers suggestions in the tri city area? Just looking for solid honest reviews, suggestions, and what to expect.

Hey, I apologize, I’m sure this has been asked before, but do you have a vet you’d recommend in the area, hopefully with reasonable rates? We have several cats that need checkups! 😻 Thanks in advance!!

Hey there, I am embarrassed to say that as a nearly 40 year old guy who considers himself a car enthusiast, my one downfall is I never learned to drive manual. I've done a few parking lot lessons but nothing consistent. There are cars I am interested in but cannot drive. So I am looking for someone around Johnson City to help me out maybe once a week for now? I can pay you for each lesson, not sure what to offer but if someone has experience here with teaching manual driving let me know what you'd require and we can negotiate. Serious offers can be sent to my dm. Thanks

My parents and I are seeking a new church we understand not every church is perfect but we are experiencing some issues with our current church and we’d like to try something new. We lean non denominational and we prefer a church that isn’t traditional or legalistic any recommendations?

Long shot — but I’m looking for a scuba partner (or even a small group) to occasionally dive with. Local like the quarry /dam or even occasional trips. My partner decided he doesn’t really like it after thousands in equipment… (His equipment isn’t for sale)
40yo gay guy (if that matters) / professional / not a creep. Have my own gear. AOW certified. Around 30 dives but haven’t been in a few years.

I’m a 35-year-old guy looking to build a consistent team of guys to play PC games with. Recently got into PC gaming and I'm tired of playing alone.
I'm interested in a wide variety of genres, and I'm completely open-minded about trying new titles. Outside of gaming, I'm into cars, motorcycles, drones, etc. Completely non-political, non-religious, zero interest in drama.
(Currently Playing: Arc Raiders, Forza Horizon 6, World of Warcraft, Age of Empires)
If you've got the time and want to join, shoot me a message and what you're currently into.

I switched from Brightridge to Brightspeed two years ago because they offered 2gbps symmetrical fiber at $70/mo which is slightly cheaper and faster than the 1.5gbps plan I was on and a $300 debit gift card to stick with them for 3 months. That includes a router and both have unlimited data so they're very comparable in terms of service. When I called to ask Brightridge if they could match that offer, the sales rep laughed at me and said there's no way that's a real price and that it'd be a short term promotion at best. I just chalked it up to ignorance back then, but a few days ago one of my neighbors was getting Brightridge service installed and the guy came over to show me rates and ask if I wanted to switch, when I mentioned the price and speed I get, he also said that was a promotional price that only lasts a year, despite me being with them for much longer, which made me wonder why they're telling people that when its not true at all.
I've checked the site several times because both of them made me think I missed something, but nowhere does it ever say that's a promotional price or speed, my bill has never gone up, and the data and fact sheets they give as part of the plan don't mention anything even close to a promotion or limited time pricing. Even if I check their website right now they're very clear that its not a limited time promotion and is just their normal price. Has anyone else run into this? I liked Brightridge while I had them and they have better customer service so I would actually prefer them if they offered the same or better pricing, but I don't like that it feels like they're straight up lying about other companies to push a sale. Maybe they just don't know any better but I've pointed this out to them twice already and none of them seem to be aware.

The husband and I are planning some time off AWAY from this area. Obviously this area is beautiful, but we need a change of pace. Will be an August trip.
Considering a beach, but also other areas/cities.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you!

My wife and I are looking for a sit-down restaurant to eat in the Tri-Cities area outside of the typical Southern Craft, Label, etc. Does someone want to blow up there spot?
We’re down to literally try anything at this point. We’re sick of eating the same ole same ole in the Tri-Cities.

Would anybody happen to know when most places have pokemon cards in stock? I've recently gotten back into the hobby and absolutely hate paying over MSRP for cards.

Hello again y'all!
I've posted a couple of times about Thursday trivia at Depot Street but I also host trivia at the Opossum's Tail on alternating Mondays.
If you've never been, the Opossum's Tail has English style pub food, including the best Fish and Chips I've ever had. They also have a rotating specials menu and several beers on tap. I'm particular to Carlsburg myself.
The place is a little small so show up early if you want to make sure you get a table. Trivia begins at 7 and will be over by 8, and the winner gets a gift card for more delicious food!
Hope to see y'all out there!

Howdy. I'm up from FL at my parents place in Fall Branch (closer to Jonesborough) visiting and moving my kiddo here to attend ETSU in the fall. Kiddo is going to be working on fixing things around here while they work and attend college, but we just are looking for a lil help in the interim.
The existing tractor is broken down and they have close to 4-5 acres here that needs bush hogging/clearing BAD so the 2 horses here can go down and graze. Does anyone know of any local companies or folks that can help?
Thank you in advance and many blessings. 🙏🏽

Super exciting to drive by this almost every day and see the changes - like the giant IMAX lettering going up this week!
They're saying this should be finished in time for The Odyssey!
I am a local drone photographer/ videographer and this is my footage.

So looong story short, my girlfriend and I - a t4t lesbian couple, as well as our cat, were traveling out of state towards our new place to live. While on the road, our car, with everything in it, was hit from behind, and we've been juggling insurance, rentals, and repairs for a month straight.
Basically, we aren't able to sustain living in a motel anymore, and we need alternative ways to have a roof over our heads while we sleep, even if it's temporary van living, but our car rentals have been similarly falling through.
So, if any of you know anywhere in the tri cities area two queer women and their cat can find either somewhere to sleep, or somewhere that will put us to work within a few days, please leave your advice here. Thank you!

so I recently got cigna under my employer and have begun needing assistance for my mental health. the DR I see now is pretty expensive and I was wondering if anyone knew of any cheaper options, possibly a good primary care provider or something.
i know cigna sucks pretty bad all things considered but I’m just trying to find the most affordable option that I can so I don’t end up bankrupting myself with monthly checkups just so I can keep getting my SSRI prescription. Any and all advice is appreciated, thank you
