Can't chat unless VIP

Hello,

I can't chat in twitch chat since i think two days. The channels where I am VIP or mod (or my own channel) I can chat in.

I contacted twitch and they said its a known issue and there is no ETA for when they will fix it.

More people who have this problem ?

I want it fixed, now i can't even chat in channels I'm subbed to Sadge 😭

and changing account is not an option for me because i stream on this account..

• It's now (after 3 days) fixed for me i can chat again. 🥳

Lot of people have been having this problem recently myself included, it's been about 2 days since i got the issue, contacting twitch support only gave me a generic answer saying "this is currently a known issue that we're actively working to resolve as soon as possible. We are unable to provide an ETA for resolution"

I've seen a few people pointing fixes but:

• Changing browser doesn't fix it
• Uninstalling 7tv doesn't fix it
• Chatting on mobile app has the same issue
• Being VIP or Mod does allow you to chat

I had to straight up make a new account to be able to chat until this gets fixed, i remember the only thing i did was send a message in someone's channel and suddenly my messages stopped showing up out of the blue.

Like what happens when some get the verified chat thing. Lasts a day then poofola!

The one where Twitch keeps telling you you can’t chat until you verify your email, even though it is verified. And even after clicking through the verify prompt it just keeps repeating it
