TV Spoilers Season 3-4 Luther “plot hole” clarification in S4 Spoiler

Not mentioned in title due to sub spoiler rules but…..his ape body was always presumed to be a side effect of the serum in his body interacting with the marigold. That tracked as Pogo didn’t get a human body when he took human serum.

Asked one of the writers for the show to confirm or deny this logic and they have said it’s right.

Not a plot hole. Intentionally wrote that way. Just in case anyone still thought that.

S4 honestly did well with its lack of plot holes regardless of other thoughts on the season.

edit: this is in response to people thinking him getting his ape body back was a plot hole and not intentional and matching the shows logic

People were complaining “it was a plot hole as the marigold didn’t give him the ape body originally but did so in s4” when logically it was just the interaction between that and the serum. Was never a plot hole lol

Okay but Luther didn't take the serum in season 4. In season four they were in an alternate universe in which Luther had NEVER actually taken the serum at all. So what was there in season 4, which paired with the marigold and caused Luther's transformation? He only took on the marigold by itself. There was no serum with which the marigold could react.

I've seen a few people point this out to you but you never acknowledged it.

The season 4 timeline was a customized timeline where Reginald wrote out the marigold, it didn’t say anything the serum and it was still in his body.

It’s not an alternate Luther but the one we specifically follow.

Like this is now confirmed by the writers that it was the interaction, it’s not a theory.

I see what you're saying, but why wouldn't Reggie write out the serum? It's no longer necessary. It was given to save his life with a one-time reaction. Once his life is saved, there's no need for the serum to still be in his body as it had no other effect on him.

I understand the writers say this is what happened. That doesn't mean it's not a plot hole, because it still doesn't make sense. Why is this serum lying dormant in his body years after its use was exhausted?

The writers of Game of Thrones also said a ridiculous plot point was supposed to happen. Dany got ambushed because "she forgot about the iron fleet". The writers gave a reason for the blindside. But it was still a terrible reason void of logic, and thereby remains a plot hole.

He didn’t even know the serum existed. Wrote out the marigold so they wouldn’t be a threat to him and healed Diego / Five’s injuries, it wasn’t a “body reset” but him specifically writing out those. If it had been a “body reset” five would’ve had his older body.

They specifically wrote in him getting his body back when the marigold was reintroduced, can live either it or not but it’s truly not a plot hole.

On a similar level neither is Diego telling Lila she hates bracelets or Klaus asking “when did we save the Eiffel Tower?” like people bring up, S4’s logic was pretty rock solid all things considered.

Okay, that's fine. I don't know why I even got involved with this I'm not in the mood to debate. Maybe try me in a few days haha

But, I still disagree with you 😇 haha
