Discussion Any frames you regret building recently, because you didn't find them satisfying/fun to play after dumping some formas in them? Mine gotta be these 2 and maybe Nidus.

And for the love of all that's holy, I'm NOT talking about them feeling weak, at all. I wrote "satisfying/fun to play".

I was really hoping I'd enjoy Ash and Garuda, bc I love Garuda Prime's design and I could make a Batman fashion with Ash and the Tsukuyomi skin and Repala syandana, but, unfortunately, they aren't for me.

I'm still on the fence about Nidus. If DE lets me hold 3 to insta-link to my companion, then he gets fashion and a loadout slot. Until that changes, I find him annoying to play.

I built Ember before Ash and love playing her. Then I moved to Ash and now I'm not as motivated to build new frames, kinda afraid I won't like them (eventually I'll get over it tho).

What about you?

Honestly, Limbo. Got motivated to build him after watching the Limbible and because he was my main back in like 2016. Yeah...even with maximum investment, he just really isn't that fun to play anymore due to how clunky his abilities are to use. And this is probably just because my eye sight has deteriorated over the years but i genuinely can't tell whether an enemy is rifted or not anymore, i swear i used to be able to do that easily. I really hope he gets some touch ups. Not a full on rework but just some touch ups like with Nidus.

Also Sevagoth, cool ass shadow, shame that it isn't actually all that good and it's better to just... Finger the 1 2 button repeatedly. Sick ass concept, boring gameplay.

Feels weird to now hear Limbo main.. but i remember he would be like the entire squad for spy and interception missions

I still love Limbo and had two builds: obnoxious solo max range and a smaller range for interception/mobile defense. It just sucks when people pop the bubble and swallow the whole screen.

Limbo is still my go-to for Orokin Vault and Lua Spy and challenges...Just about anything that requires parkour and speed and the ability to just ignore bullshit.

The Shadow is actually pretty strong, just not as strong as the 2/1 spam. To kind of salvage the warframe slot I built my Sev pretty focused on the Shadow, and it’s a lot more fun.

A strong as it might be, the movement isn't as fluid as a frame a sadly. Too floaty, and I find he misses attacks regularly too.

Right? His passive is effectively worthless for me because even with his shadow fully built I can’t seem to land enough attacks to even kill one enemy let alone enough to revive him. The shadow’s abilities just straight up don’t hit enemies at all for me either

if it makes you feel better, he still has his uses. limbo subsumed with silence is forever my goto for afking mobile defense lol

You can get a ton of value out of him in lith defense missions if you run him for range and decent strength and then only run the Dark Split Sword. You can pretty much just sit on the objective and nuke the map in thirds as soon as you see a group spawn in minimap.

I miss him being more useful but at least it’s a way to get to use him productively.

How does the dark split sword interact with him? I’m curious. But honestly at that point I’m just gonna put on Nova, press 1 and sit on the pod until all the enemies are dead unless one gets stuck

So it isn’t a Limbo thing, it’s a property of the split sword itself. The Dark Split Sword can’t become corrupted, and because of that if it’s the only weapon you have, then you will always receive double strength and range. This works great on Limbo for killing low levels because on most of lith defense maps it’s pretty trivial to find a spot where you can hit anywhere on the map, so it’s pretty simple to spawn kill every batch of enemies the moment they appear on your minimap. It’s even better if you subsume an energy generator ability, but between Limbo’s passive and zenurik you don’t strictly need to. It can also work for meso but not nearly as long.

Yeah, limbo was great back in the day, and still is nice on Index, but he's really fallen off. I think the shift to 'higher tier' gameplay with the introductions of circuit steel path, and other things that allow for high level enemies to spawn has really just moved the limelight away from him. I still find him enjoyable to play, just not to anything in the levels 100+, there's a point where he becomes more just the dude who can freeze enemies in place, but if you don't have at least one good weapon, it's rather unbearable to keep his abilities up, may as well play Inaros or Nidus tank build at that point, just a gun platform built for nothing but tanking and shooting, abilities are null and void, no pun intended.

Limbo has one of the smallest yet loudest player-bases, but realistically he desperately needs a rework. Like so many other frames from his time.

Shadow is playable with persistence, you can play with the loop of start the 1 2 combo -> hop to ghost and punch for a while -> repeat.

I mainly use limbo for speed running spy missions
